Bare Frequencies was created in honour of my nephew, Dennan, a tribute to his life, and a space for truth, healing, and legacy. Through raw conversation, sound, and storytelling, I explore the frequencies of grief, creativity, and the human spirit. This is where pain becomes power and silence becomes sound.

Dave Jenkins - Music Journalist - Presenter - DJ - Label Founder | Bare Frequencies

In the Season 2 finale of Bare Frequencies, Shona sits down with Dave “Columbo” Jenkins — Music Journalist, Presenter, DJ, Label Founder, and one of the most respected voices in bass music culture. Across this intimate two-hour conversation, they go deep into work culture, ambition, identity, fatherhood, and what it truly means to build a life inside music. With decades spent documenting the evolution of rave, jungle, and bass culture — from iDJ Magazine to UKF, Drum&BassArena, Vision Radio, and his own platform 1 More Thing — Dave reflects on creative longevity, the tension between passion and profession, the economics of artistry, and the emotional realities of staying devoted to sound across every season of life. At its core, this is a conversation about resilience, legacy, and why championing the underdog has always remained central to Dave’s ethos. A powerful closing chapter to Season 2, and a deep conversation on culture, creativity, and the human story behind a life devoted to music. Hannah Lily - Somatic Practitioner - Trauma Therapist - Ritual Guide | Bare Frequencies

In this episode of Bare Frequencies, Shona sits down with ritual guide, counsellor and psycho-spiritual therapist Hannah Lily to explore healing, identity and the journey back to ourselves. For the past few years, Shona has worked closely with Hannah and is now training with her to facilitate women’s circles — spaces designed to support honesty, reflection and reconnection in a world that often asks us to wear masks. Hannah’s work weaves together somatic therapy, ritual, ceremony and counselling to create environments where people can slow down, feel safe enough to be seen, and begin remembering who they were before conditioning, expectation and survival shaped their lives. Together they discuss the power of safe spaces, rites of passage, the body’s role in healing, and what it really means to come home to yourself. This is a conversation about truth, courage and the quiet work of reclaiming the parts of ourselves we were taught to hide.   https://www.hannahlilyhealing.com/ https://www.instagram.com/hannah___lily https://www.facebook.com/share/1CBsBgyX5t/?mibextid=wwXIfr
