Part 2-Boundaries during the holidays after a miscarriage

Send us Fan Mail Sweet Friends, If the holidays feel heavier this year, you're not doing anything wrong. Grief takes more out of us than we often realize, and it makes sense that your usual energy for gatherings, traditions, and taking care of everyone else just isn't there right now. In this episode, we talk gently about giving yourself permission to protect what little energy you have. You can say no with a simple, kind sentence, without explaining your loss to anyone. You can say yes to some things and leave early when you need to. You can honor your family, your culture, and your faith in quieter ways this year. And you can set down the role of making the holidays happen for everyone else, letting others care for you instead. These boundaries aren't about pulling away from the people you love. They're about making sure there's still something left of you to share. Take what feels helpful, leave the rest, and be as kind to yourself this season as you would be to someone you love. Holding Space, Part 1: Why the Holidays Hit Different

Send us Fan Mail Sweet Friends, If you're grieving a miscarriage, the holidays can feel like they turn the volume up on everything — the "family and future" messaging, the pregnancy announcements at the table, the ornaments and traditions built around a future that changed. In this first episode of a three-part series, we talk about why this time of year intensifies miscarriage grief so specifically, why this kind of loss often goes unacknowledged by the people and culture around you, and the holiday moments most likely to catch you off guard — from religious services to seeing someone else's new baby. We also talk about making room for memory instead of running from it, what to do when you're just not in the mood to celebrate, and why grief and joy aren't mutually exclusive. This episode is for anyone who needs to hear, clearly and without qualifiers: there's nothing wrong with you, and this season is allowed to look different this year. Part 2 covers boundaries — saying no, leaving early, and navigating family, cultural, and religious pressure. Part 3 covers the practical side: gift shopping, travel, and what to say when a loss is still recent. Thank you for listening.   Reach out if you'd like to be a guest on the podcast and share your story.  Remember, your story has power to heal others.  Please reach out via: www.lossandhealing.com thru the contact page or email:  rachna@lossandhealing.com  www.lossandhealing.com  https://www.instagram.com/lossandhealing/  I look forward to hearing from you. Coming Back, Holding Space for Miscarriage Grief

Send us Fan Mail Sweet Friends,  After a three-and-a-half-month break, I'm back, and I'm easing us in together with an honest conversation about grief, mental health, and healing after miscarriage. In this episode, I open up about why I stepped away and what this break taught me about healing not being linear. Then we dive into the heart of today's topic: what grief after miscarriage really looks like (including disenfranchised grief — the kind the world doesn't always see), the mental health impact it can carry, and most importantly, how to gather real support around yourself when you need it most. This episode is empathetic, honest, and hopeful. Wherever you are in your own grief journey, I hope you find support through this podcast and feel a little less alone. A gentle note: this episode discusses miscarriage and grief in depth. Take care of yourself while listening, and feel free to pause or come back to it when you're ready.
