We discuss the Haiti National Trust’s mission to identify Haiti’s biodiversity hotspots, acquire land for protected parks, and establish long-term measures to preserve the country’s natural heritage. Anne-Isabelle Bonifassi also shares why protecting these ecosystems is so important. Haiti is home to many species that cannot be found anywhere else in the world, making it essential to preserve the places where they live so they can continue to survive and have a protected home.
