    Episode 55. Don Perry Jr!

On this edition of Reset and Rise To The Unbreakable With Amanda Moore, we welcome Don Perry Jr to the show! Here's his bio in his own words : My name is Donald Eugene Perry Jr, but everyone knows me as Don Perry. A short history I suppose is needed.  I was born in a small town south of Stockton California. It's called French Camp. Born Sept 17, 1971. Both of my parents were active in my upbringing. My father was a full fledged functioning alcoholic who died of cirrhosis at 48 years old. He was a super kind man that definitely had his demons. My mother was a hard-working woman and just always tried to keep things together. She passed from cancer at 53. 11 years apart. The reason I bring that up is, I was a part of your growing up but nothing crazy a little bit of weed drinking and so forth. But when my father passed I went off the deep end. Ridiculous drinking taking every drug that I can get my hands on. It led to an 8-year addiction to methamphetamine. I have been clean off of that since 2007. In fact I haven't done anything other than smoke the ganga since. I believe they call that California's sober. During the time of my addiction I was a horrible person not trustworthy, and full of myself. I'm really surprised that I have any long lived friends because of that time frame. The person I was then was not respectable. I have been with the same company for over 20 years and have worked very hard to build my life back up. I served in the United States Marine corps from 1988 to 1992. I served during desert shield desert Storm. With first battalion 3rd Marines bravo company weapons platoon and then with third battalion third Marines kilo company weapons platoon. I took place in the Battle of kahfgi as well as I was a gunner on the highway of hell. I played semi-pro football until I was 31 years old. I started bowling recreationally when I was 30. I started taking bowling seriously when I turned 50. I have been bowling competitively since. I coached high School football and track. Both in the state of Washington and California. I have played music professionally on and off for 35 years. I have a few singles out and last played a gig this February. My band is on a permanent hiatus. Out of nowhere is the name. Episode 54 : Jonathan Daniel

On this edition of Reset and Rise To The Unbreakable With Amanda Moore, we welcome Jonathan Daniel to the show! Here's his bio in his own words : I was born into the church as my father was a preacher. I’m a PK. That has its own set of challenges. I was a youth leader, drummer in the church worship team, and heavily involved in my father’s career choice. I continued my church attendance for a majority of my life. I’ve worked many various jobs and moved to SE NM for a career opportunity in real estate. 2009 hit and I lost everything; our home, my investment properties and we had to start over. I was out of work and joined the Police Department. Front row seats to the greatest show no one ever wants to see. Lots of bad stuff. Hypervigilance and compartmentalizing causes issue with emotional connections with others. 11 years in Law Enforcement, patrol, CSI, sergeant. 3 deaths in the family on my wife’s side then the move to Arkansas to help take care of the mother in law. Losing my identity as a L.E.O. starting over, 2 family tragedies that finally took me out. Losing my faith, all alone and started using cannabis after the prescription meds didn’t help. Drinking more to ease the pain and get to sleep. Nearly ended it all in 2021. Started researching PTSD and found psychedelics. A year and a half of research decided to try it as I wasn’t getting better. Went to Jamacia for 3 heroic doses and weeklong therapy with several strangers and came back changed…healed. New focus of the mind with daily intention, forgiving the past, letting go of the future anxiety. Living each day if it were the last. Eating better, gym 5 days a week, gained almost 25 lbs of muscle. No longer a pessimist and little things don’t bother me like they used to. Business growth and a new perspective on God and religion. Married and father of 4 with 6 grandkids. Real estate broker in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas. Episode 53 : PWBA Superstar Diandra Asbaty!

On the next edition of Reset and Rise To The Unbreakable With Amanda Moore, we welcome PWBA Superstar Diandra Asbaty to the show! Here's her bio in her own words : I started bowling at five years old in Northwest Indiana, and the sport ended up taking me around the world — 15 years on Team USA, more than 70 international medals, three Hall of Fame inductions, and a career I could never have dreamed up as a kid. But the win that defined me wasn't about the trophy. In 2012, I was a new mom, stretched thin, and honestly questioning whether I could still compete at the highest level. I stepped up in the tenth frame of the USBC Queens needing a strike in the tenth to beat a Hall of Famer — and threw it. That moment taught me that the story we tell ourselves about what's possible matters more than the circumstances we're in. Since then, my mission has grown beyond competing. I founded the Elite Youth Tour to help young athletes see their power on and off the lanes, and through Beyond the Lanes I coach bowlers and non-bowlers alike on the mental game — managing fear, staying present under pressure, and performing when it counts. Today I'm still competing on the PWBA Tour, not because I have anything left to prove, but because I love the process. I bowl for me now — and that shift changed everything. beyondthelanes.com eliteyouthtour.com Follow Amanda on Instagram : @BackupBowler83 Follow the show on Instagram and Tik Tok : @ResetandRisePodcast⁩ Send us an email with your questions and comments : resetandrisepodcast@gmail.com Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/reset-and-rise-to-the-unbreakable--6690676/support.

Episode 52 : Retired USMC Veteran Patrick Kreuzer

On the next edition of Reset and Rise To The Unbreakable With Amanda Moore, we welcome Retired USMC Veteran and Police Officer Patrick Kreuzer to the show! Our guest this week is Patrick Kreuzer, a man whose life has been dedicated to serving others, both in uniform and beyond. Patrick is a pre- and post-9/11 United States Marine Corps veteran and spent 17 years serving as a police officer with the City of Mesa. After carrying the weight of nearly two decades of service to both his country and community, he medically retired in 2023 due to PTSD. Rather than allowing those experiences to define him, Patrick chose to transform his pain into purpose. He is currently completing his Master's in Social Work with the goal of becoming a trauma therapist, helping veterans and first responders heal from the invisible wounds of service. He is also the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of the After Watch Foundation, a passionate mental health advocate, a service dog trainer, host of the Thin Line Rock Station radio show, and the voice behind the After the Call podcast. Beyond all of his accomplishments, Patrick is a devoted husband and father of four. Tragically, his family experienced the heartbreaking loss of one of their children, an active-duty Navy service member, to suicide this past December. Through unimaginable grief, Patrick has continued to courageously speak out about mental health, hope, and the importance of reaching out before it's too late. This is going to be a powerful, honest, and inspiring conversation about service, sacrifice, trauma, resilience, and finding purpose after life's darkest moments. Episode 50 : PWBA Superstar Lindsay Boomershine!

On the next edition of Reset and Rise To The Unbreakable With Amanda Moore, we welcome PWBA Superstar Lindsay Boomershine to the show! Here's his bio in her own words : My name is Lindsay Boomershine, and I am a professional bowler, major champion, wife, and most importantly a mother. Bowling has been a huge part of my life for many years, and I have been fortunate to compete at the highest levels of the sport while building relationships and opportunities that I never could have imagined when I first started. While I am proud of the accomplishments and titles I have earned throughout my career, my journey has not been defined by success alone. Like many people, I have faced setbacks, disappointments, injuries, self-doubt, and personal challenges that tested my confidence and resilience. There have been times when things did not go as planned, both on and off the lanes, and I had to decide whether to give up or keep pushing forward. One of the greatest lessons bowling has taught me is that failure is not the end of the story. Missing a goal, struggling through adversity, or facing difficult circumstances does not define who we are. What defines us is how we respond, how we grow, and how we continue moving forward even when the path is uncertain. Balancing a professional bowling career, family life, and business responsibilities has given me a unique perspective on perseverance, sacrifice, and personal growth. Through every challenge, I have learned the importance of faith, gratitude, hard work, and believing in yourself even when the outcome is unclear. My hope is that by sharing my story, others will realize they are stronger than they think and that setbacks can become stepping stones to something greater. Life will always present challenges, but we have the ability to rise, adapt, and keep moving forward. Episode 49 : Former US Marine Bryan Roof!

On this edition of Reset and Rise To The Unbreakable With Amanda Moore, we welcome the Host of "Coffee Talk With Bryan and Marie", former US Marine Bryan Roof to the show! Here's his bio in his own words : Born and raised in Lancaster, California, I graduated high school in May 1999. Shortly after, in February 2000, I made the pivotal decision to enlist in the United States Marine Corps. I served as a 3051 Supply Marine and deployed to Kuwait and Iraq in January 2003 as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom, with my unit participating in the initial ground offensive. My time in service was not without personal hardship, including receiving a Red Cross message informing me of my grandmother's passing. Upon my honorable discharge in February 2004, I immediately transitioned into a demanding role within the aerospace industry, joining Northrop Grumman in Palmdale, California. That same year became a period of intense personal ambition and upheaval: I got married, became a father, embarked on a college degree, coached high school football, and even played semi-professional football. In hindsight, it's evident I placed an unsustainable burden upon myself during a critical post-military adjustment phase. Predictably, this frantic pace led to a rapid decline: my marriage faltered, ultimately ending in divorce. This period initiated a profound personal tailspin, forcing me to confront significant mental health challenges, including PTSD, anxiety, and an overwhelming sense of failure. My coping mechanisms at the time were destructive, characterized by excessive partying and drinking, which eventually led me to hit rock bottom. Amidst these struggles, I met my current wife, a truly remarkable woman who was raising three young boys, one of whom is non-verbal and autistic. Our connection was immediate and profound, leading to a quick marriage and the subsequent birth of our shared son, bringing our blended family to six children – five boys and one girl. It was after marrying her that I truly began to confront my mental health, recognizing the immense burden of unaddressed trauma I had carried for years. While the realization came swiftly, actively working through it became a multi-year journey of healing. My path took an unexpected turn in July 2018 when, after finally achieving full transparency about my struggles, the Veterans Administration deemed me "Unemployable." This designation was profoundly challenging, particularly as I had earned a business degree, achieved multiple promotions, and was thriving in my preferred role as a Project Manager, having finally attained substantial financial stability. To experience such a dramatic drop from a six-figure income to a quarter of that was devastating. This forced me to innovate and explore new avenues. I initially pursued various small business ventures, but my lifelong passion for talk radio sparked a new idea: to launch my own podcast. The podcast began simply: armed with a gaming microphone and my phone, I started recording personal reflections on what I considered my "interesting life." The process proved incredibly cathartic, prompting me to expand its scope. I soon began inviting fellow veterans to share their unique stories of service and the often-complex transition back to civilian life. This evolution led to "Heal Out Loud," a platform dedicated to openly discussing the good, the bad, and the ugly realities faced by military personnel and first responders. Last year, we launched a vital segment called "Coffee Talk," designed to delve deeper into issues frequently emerging from our interviews. This initiative connected me with Marie, whose courageous journey through addiction and sexual trauma resonated deeply. Her presence as co-host has been instrumental in creating a more inclusive space, particularly for female service members, encouraging them to share their experiences. Together, we champion the message that it’s okay not to be okay, offering a platform to "heal out loud" and normalize conversations around personal struggles. Our aim is to foster a community where we learn from our pasts, not allowing them to define us, but rather to shape us into stronger, more compassionate individuals. I am now in my fourth season, three and a half years into this fulfilling journey, and I eagerly anticipate sharing more of this mission with your audience.
