    Episode 37: Utah Recap/Spirit Preview

    Woohoo Swan Dive listeners, the Legacy stopped their string of highly questionable, not great games with a huge 2-1 win against Utah Royals on the road and we were so excited to talk about it. The long weekend got the better of us planning wise so we had no Legacy guest this week so we had a rare Swan Dive moment where Andy and Courtney had a nice little one on one chat about all the action. After that, they were joined by Annie from Hey Spirits to catch up with what has been happening with the Washington Spirit and discuss this weekend's upcoming match. As always we ended with our prediction game (and got Liz to give her a prediction for the Legacy seat). Standing remain unchanged after the Utah match.     Episode 36: Angel City Recap/Utah Royals Preview

    Legacy fans, it was another tough one as the team fell 5-2 against Angel City Monday night. While we are going to share our thoughts as always, we also had a bit of fun as we were joined by a special guest in our Legacy fan seat. If you have ever been to a Legacy game, you have heard her voice announcing players and Legacy goals among other fun things. That's right, in our third seat we were joined by Boston Legacy Public Address announcer Ava J! Ava shared a little bit about her background and how she got involved with the Legacy as well as some of the prep that goes into what she does and favorite moments on the mic! As a Legacy fan herself, she gave her thoughts on the recent Legacy match and the upcoming fixture against the Utah Royals as well. Also joining us for the Utah Royals preview was Sean from the Royal Riot podcast (if you happen to listen to this week's Royal Riot podcast, you might hear some familiar voices)! Sean filled us in on everything Utah related since we last chatted all the way back before the Legacy's third ever match and gave us his thoughts on how the upcoming match might play out.     Episode 35: NC Courage Recap/Angel City Preview

    It's that time again, The Swan Dive team is back to talk all things Boston Legacy. Andy and Courtney are joined by second time guest Jack to discuss last week's unfortunate and disappointing loss to the North Carolina Courage. The Legacy also gave us some news to discuss this week with the acquisition of midfielder Sarah Schupansky from Gotham FC (which I think technically happened last week but its fine) as well as some news on White Stadium and where exactly the Legacy will be playing in 2027. Then, on another episode of "Courtney makes her friends come on the podcast" we were joined by Angel City fan Karen to finally meet our last new opponent of the season. Karen shared some great info about Angel City; the team and the fans, and as always we rounded out the episode with our predictions.     Well, Legacy fans, I think we can agree that last match against Racing Louisville was...suboptimal, to put it gently. We wanted to talk about this just about as much as you probably want to listen to us talk about it, but alas, that is what we are here for. We did do something different this week. Instead of a full blown recap, we did an abridged version: lineup and personnel, overall takeaways and opinions and then we moved on. We previewed this weekend's match against the Courage and with some of the time left from not talking about the Louisville game in detail, we did a fun little Q and A with questions submitted by you all.     Well, Swans fans, that was a tough one and a wild one. All good things (like 1-1 for science) must come to an end and the Legacy were unable to come away with any points from Portland. Andy and Courtney were joined by first time guest Brad to recap the seven goal scorcher against the Portland Thorns. With the draw, the Legacy officially have won The Battle of Expansion Clubs for this season with one win and one draw. We were then joined by Thorns fan (and Andy's friend) Alex to preview the upcoming home fixture against the Portland Thorns (remaining home game 1 of 4....sad).     Episode 30: Spirit Recap/KC Preview

    Happy Birthday Swan Dive! This episode was recorded on July 22nd which is exactly one year after the very first episode of the podcast was released. We talk about it a little in the podcast, but again just want to thank everyone who has listened, been a guest, helped us out, asked questions, given feedback, etc. over the last year. We appreciate all the support and can't wait to see what this next year brings. As for this week's episode, Andy and Courtney were joined by Mohamed who not only helped us recap the 2-1 loss to the Spirit over the weekend, but gave us some really great information about the Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) which starts next week. The Legacy announced this week that our very own Aissata has been called up for Mali for the tournament which had a lot of people asking "what exactly is WAFCON?" We hope this helps! We were also joined once again by Danielle, Vice President of KC Blue Crew to preview Saturday's rematch against the KC Current. We talked a little about how the Current's season has gone since we last talked and what this matchup might look like for both teams with Aissata and Temwa Chawinga being away for WAFCON (also if this is how you are finding out that both those players won't be at the game Saturday, sorry, but at least you know now and not Saturday?) Of course, as always we wrapped up with our prediction game.
