    Episode 14: Royals Recap/Wave Preview

    Legacy fans, history occurred at Gillette when the Aissata scored the first ever goal in Boston Legacy history. Yes, the team still lost, but the first goal finally happened! This week we had a full Swan Dive crew podcast as Andy and Courtney are joined by Swan Dive's Social Media Manager (and Andy's wife) Liz to discuss the match against Utah Royals. We saw quite a few lineup changes, some very questionable officiating and most importantly, the Legacy's first goal! We cover all those things and more and then are joined by Wave fan/content creator Alyssa to preview the upcoming match against San Diego on Friday. Just a reminder how we are all doing on the prediction game (spoiler, the Swan Dive team could be doing better).     Episode 13: Dash Recap/Royals Preview

    Well, this weekend's Legacy match might not have gone how we all would have like, but its our job to talk about it all the same. Andy and Courtney are joined this week by first time guest Cathy recap the Legacy's 3-0 loss against the Houston Dash. After that, they are joined by Sean from the Royal Riot podcast to learn a bit more about the Utah Royals and share some thoughts on how the match against Utah might go this weekend. As is tradition, we wrapped up the episode with our match day predictions. For those keeping track at home, this is how we are all doing through two game weeks thus far.     Episode 12: Gotham Recap/Dash Preview

    Its our first recap episode! Courtney and Andy are joined by first time guest Rodrigo as they recap Boston Legacy's inaugural match played against Gotham FC. From game-day vibes to thoughts on the actual soccer portion of the day, the team covers it all (even NKOTB, obviously). We also have our first game prediction results: Courtney and Andy guessed Gotham correctly as the winners so each have 1 point, our third seat guests currently have 0 points, and, perhaps surprising to no one, our opposing guest Gary from Soccer Over Gotham got the whole result correct, giving the opposing guest seat a whopping 3 points. We also look ahead to this weekend's match against the Houston Dash and were happy to be joined by Dani and OSG from Foxtrot Media, a group covering all things Houston Dynamo and Dash. They gave us some insights on this year's Dash team and thoughts on Boston before we all focused on the match.     Episode 11: Gotham Preview

    Legacy fans, are you ready?! We are just days away from the very first Boston Legacy FC match and its the home opener as well. We are so excited to see the team take the field for the first time and to hopefully meet some of you Swan Dive listeners as well. On that note, we bring you our very first NWSL match preview! This week Andy and Courtney are joined by first time Swan Dive guest Brooks, as well as Soccer Over Gotham podcast host and producer Gary Gibson to briefly chat about the Legacy away kits and kit launch party but then all focus turns to Gotham vs Boston for match week 1. We take a look at this year's Gotham team, Gary provides some of his thoughts on the Legacy as a non-supporter and the team gives their thoughts on what the very first Boston Legacy match (against the defending champions, no less) might bring. We also have some exciting podcast news to share. We also have some predictions. Here at the Swan Dive, we are making a little game out of match predictions where points are assigned based on how correct and how incorrect we are. Andy and Courtney will make predictions before every match and track them throughout the season. We will also ask our guests to make predictions and have an overall guest score at the end of the season as well.     Episode 10: League Roundup

    In a special sort of bonus episode of The Swan Dive, Andy and Courtney do something they never have done before on the show; go guest-less and just talk amongst themselves. When you see the topic of this episode, you will understand why. The Swan Dive spends a lot of time discussing the Boston Legacy, which it should, its a BLFC fan show (its in the title of the podcast!) but we realized for some; this team may be the entry point for some people as far as the NWSL goes. So, on this midweek episode, join Andy and Courtney as they take a little tour around the rest of the league. Where did the other teams finish last year? Were there any notable off season moves? Where do we expect the team to place this year (and in some cases, how do we expect the Legacy to compete with these teams)?     We are back after what is hopefully our last extended break for awhile. We also asked Dave to give some thoughts ahead of the season opener in a few weeks (Courtney and Andy's are forthcoming in another episode).     Episode 7: Roster Deep Dive Pt 1

    The Swan Dive is back for our fist episode of the new year! We are joined this week by special guest Paige Forster. Paige played professionally in England for several clubs including Liverpool FC and Preston North End before coming over to the states where she played semi-professionally for the Rhode Island Rogues. In addition to her playing career, Paige has coached youth soccer as well as on the collegiate level at Boston College where she coached Boston Legacy players Sophia Lowenberg and Sammy Smith. Paige is currently the Director of Coaching at Arlington Soccer Club. Boston Legacy FC sure has been busy signing players since the last time we recorded an episode. Join Paige, Andy and Courtney for part 1 of our roster deep dive where we take a closer look at a a handful of those new signings (including those Paige coached at Boston College).
