Taylor said Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins are both considered day-to-day after injuries in Sunday’s 22-17 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Chase remains in the NFL’s concussion protocol after leaving in the second quarter following a hard hit. Taylor did not provide a timetable for Chase, who will have to clear the league’s concussion protocol before he can return. Higgins, meanwhile, suffered an adductor injury late in the fourth quarter after an impressive afternoon in which he caught 11 passes for 157 yards. Taylor indicated that Higgins’ injury does not appear to be a long-term issue and said the Bengals will see how he progresses throughout the week. That leaves the door open for Higgins to potentially play against Miami. Taylor also said rookie wide receiver Colbie Young, who missed Sunday’s game with a knee injury, is progressing faster than expected. His availability for Week 5 remains up in the air. Perhaps the more entertaining moment came when Taylor was asked about one of Sunday’s special-teams penalties. The Bengals were flagged 11 times for 108 yards in a game that featured an unusually high number of penalties overall. Taylor acknowledged that Cincinnati has to examine the penalties and clean up what it can, but he was noticeably careful about criticizing the officiating too strongly. Taylor essentially walked the line between acknowledging frustration and avoiding a fine, the familiar territory for an NFL coach discussing officials. His message was that some of the calls appeared to go both ways, and the Bengals simply have to make the most of the situations they can control. That combination — two major receivers dealing with injuries and a penalty-filled loss still fresh in his mind — set the tone for Taylor’s first day preparing Cincinnati for Miami. Bengals Drop Second Straight After Injuries To Ja'Marr Chase & Tee Higgins + More Joe Burrow Turnovers

On today's show, we unpack the Bengals' 22-17 loss yesterday to the Jaguars in a game that featured star WR's Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins going down with injuries and another 4th quarter turnover from Joe Burrow. Make your deposit today at http://kalshi.com/r/CBOX The Bengals’ 22-17 loss to Jacksonville on Sunday was the kind of defeat that leaves Cincinnati frustrated more than defeated. At 2-2, the Bengals had plenty of chances to win, but too many mistakes — and two devastating injuries — ultimately proved costly. Joe Burrow put together a massive statistical performance, throwing for 428 yards and a touchdown, but his two interceptions were pivotal. The first came late in the second quarter with Cincinnati threatening to tie the game and led directly to a Jaguars touchdown, giving Jacksonville a 13-3 halftime advantage. The second came in the red zone and erased another scoring opportunity.  The biggest blow, however, was losing Ja’Marr Chase to a concussion in the second quarter. Chase had only three catches before leaving, forcing Cincinnati to adjust its passing attack for most of the afternoon. Tee Higgins responded brilliantly with 11 catches and 157 yards, but he also left late in the game, leaving Burrow without his top two receivers during the final push.  And still, Cincinnati had a chance. Down 22-17, Burrow moved the Bengals 62 yards on the final drive and got them to the Jacksonville 21-yard line. Three consecutive incompletions set up fourth down, and Chase Brown was stopped a yard short, ending the comeback.  For Bengals fans, that is probably the most encouraging part: Cincinnati kept fighting despite everything that went wrong. But the frustrating reality is that the Bengals are now on a two-game losing streak after starting 2-0. Zac Taylor acknowledged afterward that the team had opportunities and simply didn't capitalize.  This wasn't a disaster. But it was a missed opportunity — and the Bengals can't afford many more of those. Music from #InAudio: https://inaudio.org/ Track Name Holy (Trap). Make your deposit today at http://kalshi.com/r/CBOX The Cincinnati Bengals head back to Paycor Stadium this Sunday looking to bounce back from a painful 30-27 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers and move to 3-1. At 2-1, Cincinnati has already shown plenty of promise, but this matchup with Jacksonville presents a very different challenge. The biggest storyline is Joe Burrow against Trevor Lawrence. Burrow played well for most of the Pittsburgh game, making several clutch third- and fourth-down throws before a late strip-sack ended Cincinnati’s comeback hopes. Against Jacksonville, protecting Burrow will be critical. The Jaguars have a talented defensive front, and Bengals offensive tackle Amarius Mims will have a major assignment keeping pressure away from his quarterback.  Jacksonville enters Cincinnati at 2-1 after destroying New England 35-6. Lawrence has seven touchdown passes and two interceptions through three games, while the Jaguars are averaging 27 points per game. Cincinnati’s defense therefore has to avoid the communication and tackling problems that surfaced against Pittsburgh. Getting pressure from the front four, particularly Boye Mafe and the interior defensive line, could be crucial.  Offensively, the Bengals need to establish enough of a running game to keep Jacksonville from teeing off on Burrow. They also need their biggest playmakers to make the Jaguars defend the entire field. Cincinnati’s passing game remains its biggest source of explosive potential, but balance could determine whether the offense stays efficient late in the game. There is also some recent history here. The Bengals have won four straight against Jacksonville, including last season’s 31-27 victory, although every one of the last four meetings has been decided by one score.  For Cincinnati, this is an opportunity to respond immediately after a division loss and show that the Pittsburgh setback was a bump rather than a trend. Bengals Making Changes To Starting Lineup + MLB Wild Card Reaction, Bryce Harper Avoids Disaster

On today's show, we break down the latest Bengals news, including injuries, practice squad signings, and changes to the starting lineup, with Dax Hill moving over to nickel to replace Jalen Davis. Plus, we react to the wild card round of the MLB playoffs as Bryce Harper was able to bounce back from a critical late-inning error. Make your deposit today at http://kalshi.com/r/CBOX The Bengals made several notable roster moves this week, largely driven by injuries and the need to reshape depth heading into Week 4. On Sept. 26, Cincinnati placed wide receiver Andrei Iosivas on injured reserve after he suffered a thumb injury against Houston. The move opens a 53-man-roster spot but also means Iosivas will miss at least the next four games. To help compensate, the Bengals signed linebacker Joe Giles-Harris from the practice squad to the active roster. Tight end Tanner Hudson was also elevated for the Pittsburgh game, although he reverted to the practice squad afterward as a standard elevation.  The bigger round of moves came Tuesday, Sept. 29. Cincinnati placed cornerback Jalen Davis on injured reserve after his hamstring injury in Pittsburgh. The Bengals waived wide receiver Ke'Shawn Williams, who had appeared in one game this season.  Cincinnati then brought back a familiar face, signing wide receiver Mitch Tinsley off the Houston Texans' practice squad. Tinsley spent the 2025 season and this past offseason with the Bengals before being waived during final roster cuts, so his return gives the receiving corps another experienced option following Iosivas' injury.  The Bengals also promoted Tanner Hudson from the practice squad to the active roster permanently. Hudson had already been elevated for Cincinnati's first two games and has three catches for 17 yards this season.  Finally, Cincinnati added two safeties to its practice squad: Isaiah Nwokobia, a former Bengals offseason signing from SMU, and Beau Brade, who has previous regular-season experience with Baltimore and the New York Giants.  In total, the Bengals placed two players on IR, waived two players, added Tinsley and Hudson to the active roster, and added two safeties to the practice squad this week. Bengals Bring Back Mitch Tinsley, Is Joe Burrow Not Clutch? Ben Johnson & Case Keenum Throttle Eagles, Giants Trade For JJ McCarthy

On today's show, we discuss the Bengals bringing back Mitch Tinsley and discuss the national narrative that Joe Burrow isn't clutch after a particular stat went viral. Plus, Ben Johnson and Case Keenum dominate the Eagles on MNF and the Giants trade for JJ McCarthy. Make your deposit today at http://kalshi.com/r/CBOX The conversation around Joe Burrow’s late-game performance after Cincinnati’s 30-27 loss to Pittsburgh has quickly split into two camps: one focused on the quarterback’s decisive mistake, and another arguing that the loss was much bigger than Burrow. The criticism is straightforward. With 2:08 remaining, Cincinnati got the ball at its own 30 trailing by three and moved into Pittsburgh territory, putting itself in position for at least a tying field goal. Burrow ultimately tried to make a play downfield rather than take a sack, was stripped by Derrick Harmon, and the Steelers recovered to end the game. Burrow acknowledged afterward that he was “trying to take a shot at the end zone” and “trying not to take the sack.”  That has revived the broader discussion about Burrow and late-game situations. NFL.com noted that this was the sixth time since 2023 that Burrow and the Bengals had entered the final four minutes trailing by a score with a chance to change the outcome. They had lost the previous five such games, making Sunday 0-6 after the fumble.  But the counterargument is that reducing Sunday's defeat to Burrow's final play misses a substantial portion of what happened. Cincinnati surrendered 10 points through special-teams mistakes, including a roughing-the-kicker penalty and a muffed punt. The defense also struggled to contain Aaron Rodgers and allowed Pittsburgh to repeatedly create opportunities late. Zac Taylor explicitly said all three phases had chances to win the game and all three shared responsibility for the loss. There's also the context of Burrow's overall performance: 28-of-37 passing for 282 yards and three touchdowns, with Cincinnati moving the ball effectively for much of the afternoon.  So the emerging debate isn't simply whether Burrow is “clutch.” It's whether Sunday's fumble represents a recurring late-game problem or one costly mistake in a game where Cincinnati repeatedly put itself in difficult situations. Cincinnati Bengals Suffer Familiar-Looking Loss To The Pittsburgh Steelers...

On today's show, we break down everything about the Bengals' 30-27 defeat against the Steelers yesterday, including the two special teams gaffes, Joe Burrow's fumble, and a defense that looked flat in the first half. Make your deposit today at http://kalshi.com/r/CBOX The Bengals’ 30-27 loss to the Steelers on Sunday was a frustrating one because Cincinnati had multiple chances to take control but couldn’t finish. The Bengals fell to 2-1, while Pittsburgh also moved to 2-1.  Joe Burrow played well for most of the afternoon, completing 28 of 37 passes for 282 yards and three touchdowns. Ja’Marr Chase had nine catches for 98 yards and a touchdown, while Tee Higgins added six catches for 90 yards and a score. Mike Gesicki also caught a touchdown, and Cincinnati repeatedly answered Pittsburgh’s scoring drives.  The Bengals even took a 27-24 lead early in the fourth quarter when Burrow found Gesicki for a 25-yard touchdown on fourth down. At that point, Cincinnati appeared to have seized control. Instead, two costly special-teams mistakes helped swing the game. A roughing-the-punter penalty extended a Pittsburgh drive that eventually produced a touchdown, and a fourth-quarter punt muff gave the Steelers possession deep in Cincinnati territory. Pittsburgh turned that mistake into a field goal that tied the game.  The Steelers then put together the decisive drive. Aaron Rodgers connected with Darnell Washington for a 47-yard gain, setting up Chris Boswell’s go-ahead 33-yard field goal with just over two minutes remaining. Cincinnati still had an opportunity, but Burrow was sacked by Derrick Harmon with 53 seconds left and fumbled. Pittsburgh recovered, effectively ending the game.  For Cincinnati, the biggest takeaway is that the offense showed it can score with Pittsburgh, but the Bengals gave away too many opportunities. They committed six penalties and two turnovers, while Pittsburgh finished with 411 total yards to Cincinnati’s 352.  It was a tough AFC North loss, but Cincinnati leaves Pittsburgh at 2-1 with plenty of football remaining. Make your deposit today at http://kalshi.com/r/CBOX The Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers renew one of the NFL’s nastiest AFC North rivalries Sunday, with Cincinnati entering at 2-0 and Pittsburgh at 1-1. The Bengals have opened the season with wins over Tampa Bay and Houston, including a convincing 20-6 road victory over the Texans last week. Pittsburgh, meanwhile, is coming off a 20-3 loss to New England in which its offense struggled to generate consistency.  The central matchup is Cincinnati’s offense against Pittsburgh’s pass rush. Joe Burrow has thrown for 461 yards, three touchdowns and one interception through two games, while Ja’Marr Chase had a breakout performance against Houston with seven catches and two touchdowns. The Steelers will lean heavily on T.J. Watt, who already has 3.5 sacks this season and has historically been productive against Cincinnati.  Pittsburgh’s offensive response is the biggest question mark. Aaron Rodgers has 408 passing yards through two games, but the Steelers have scored only three points in their most recent outing and have converted just 5 of 25 third-down opportunities this season. The Steelers will need better protection and more sustained drives against a Cincinnati defense that has looked significantly improved early in the season.  Injuries could also shape the game. Cincinnati’s B.J. Hill has missed practices with an Achilles issue, while Pittsburgh is monitoring several players, including Michael Pittman Jr., Rico Dowdle, Jamel Dean and Joey Porter Jr.  The rivalry history adds another layer: Pittsburgh leads the all-time series 72-41, and the teams split their two meetings last season. The Steelers won the most recent matchup 34-12 in Pittsburgh. Music from #InAudio: https://inaudio.org/ Track Name Holy (Trap). Joe Flacco Trade Rumors, Andrei Iosivas Replacements, Pressure Is On For The Harbaugh Brothers

On today's show, we react to the latest trade rumors surrounding Bengals backup QB Joe Flacco after the news that Giants QB Jaxson Dart would be out for the season. Plus, how will the Bengals replace Andrei Iosivas after this thumb injury and why the pressure is officially on for the Harbaugh brothers. Make your deposit today at http://kalshi.com/r/CBOX Andrei Iosivas’ thumb injury is a meaningful blow to the Bengals, even though it is not expected to end his season. Iosivas tore a ligament in his thumb during Cincinnati’s Week 2 win over Houston and underwent surgery Wednesday. The Bengals placed him on injured reserve, meaning he must miss at least four games. ESPN reports that he is expected to miss roughly four to six weeks.  The timing is unfortunate because Iosivas had established himself as Cincinnati’s No. 3 receiver behind Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. He started the first two games and played 57% of the Bengals’ offensive snaps. His production this season has been modest — three catches for 19 yards — but his value goes beyond the box score. Iosivas provides another outside target and gives Joe Burrow a reliable option when defenses focus their attention on Chase and Higgins.  Cincinnati now appears likely to handle his snaps by committee. Zac Taylor specifically mentioned options in both the receiver and tight-end rooms. Dohnte Meyers and rookie Colbie Young are candidates for larger roles at receiver, while Mike Gesicki could see additional opportunities in the passing game.  The biggest question is whether those players can collectively reproduce what Iosivas gave the offense. The Bengals don't necessarily need one player to replace him statistically; they can redistribute his snaps and targets among several players while continuing to build the passing game around Chase and Higgins. For now, the injury looks more like a midseason depth problem than a season-altering setback. Cincinnati entered Week 3 at 2-0, and Taylor has indicated that Iosivas should return this season. But the next several weeks will test the Bengals' receiver depth and could give Young and Meyers an important opportunity to establish themselves.
