Why Did God Flood The Earth

Here's the wrong question: How did all the animals fit in the ark? The most crucial question of Genesis 6 is NOT about the animals. Not at all. Rather, it is this: why was an ark needed in the first place? In other words, why was God willing to flood the entire globe, only six chapters after creating it? Seems drastic. So why did God do it, and what does it tell us about the future? Questions That We'll Answer: A) In what way did the flood typify the wrath of God being 'poured out?' B) In what way did the ark typify Jesus Christ? Is Jesus in this text? C) Why did Christ refer to future days as being 'like the days of Noah?' Questions this sermon helps answer: 1. What is the main issue raised in Why Did God Flood The Earth? 2. How does this passage point listeners to Christ, grace, repentance, and faith? 3. How should Christians respond in worship, obedience, and daily life? Why Did Cain Kill Abel

That didn't take long, did it? You might have thought Genesis 4 couldn't go worse than Genesis 3. You would have thought that mankind would have learned its lesson. Surely man would do better! Surely he would turn from sin. However, before Genesis 4 was over, violence and blood would result. Questions That We'll Answer: Cain's Choice: What really went wrong with Cain's sacrifice, and what drove him to murder his brother Abel? Discover the underlying spiritual rejection behind his actions. God's Warning: Why did God caution Cain that "sin lies at the door," waiting to master him? Unpack the timeless wisdom in God's urgent warning and its relevance for today. Sin at Our Door: Is it possible that sin is also lurking at our door, tempting us toward destructive choices? Learn practical, biblical steps to recognize and overcome the sin that seeks to dominate our lives. Explaining Sin And The Fall

One sin. That's all it took. In our day, sin is treated casually - as a marketing device (think 'Sin City'). But ONE SIN is all it took for man to be thrown out of the garden. One sin is all it took for chaos to sweep the created realm. This tells us two things: 1) sin must be really bad, and 2) God must be really holy. Questions That We'll Answer: A) The Serpent's Deception & The First Act of Disobedience: What lies and half-truths did the serpent use to entice Eve? How did both Adam and Eve's decision to eat the forbidden fruit constitute disobedience and a rejection of God's authority? B) Immediate & Lasting Consequences of The Fall: What were the instant repercussions of their sin, leading to shame, hiding, and broken fellowship with God? How did the curses pronounced in Genesis 3 affect humanity and creation, and how do we still experience the effects of the Fall today? C) Guilt, Blame & The Promise of Redemption: Why did Adam and Eve resort to blaming others instead of accepting responsibility for their actions? In what verse is the first glimmer of hope for humanity's redemption found, pointing forward to a future deliverer who would conquer evil? Understanding Creation

There is a God, and you are not Him. That is the starting point for all theology. " In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth ." But how did He create the world? And for what purpose? That will be the focus of this episode, as we look at Genesis 1. Questions That We'll Answer: A) The Power and Nature of the Creator: What does the repeated phrase "And God said..." reveal about God's power and the mechanism of creation? What does the orderliness and declared "goodness" of creation teach us about the character of the Creator? B) Humanity's Unique Place in Creation: What does it signify that humanity is created "in the image of God" according to Genesis 1:26-27? What responsibilities and privileges come with this unique status, particularly concerning our role as stewards over creation? C) Purpose and Design in God's Creation: How does the Genesis account of creation provide foundational answers to questions of meaning, purpose, and our relationship with the world?
