You feel ready to embrace your voice, your calling, and your draw to teach and help others in big ways. You want to create offers you love selling and fill your client roster and programs without falling  into icky, pushy, manipulative salesy approaches. There's one marketing exercise that has a sneaky way of getting you to shrink your message: defining your  ideal client avatar As I go over in today's episode, the approach to niching down can narrow your message so much it doesn't bring you the same joy nor does it even feel very aligned anymore.  How do you sell something you'll eventually come to resent? I've seen it and I've been the person to come in and help address it.  These ideal client exercises can seem innocent enough. It's reasonable to ask "who is the best fit for what I do and what outcomes do they want?" Yet, the initial approach to many of these exercises have too many healers and creatives with big messages feeling like they have to suck it up and promise certain outcomes in order to sell their program...even if the outcomes aren't entirely true. You don't need to do all that. I promise. I've been the go-to person for health and wellness practitioners and creatives who have felt unheard and misunderstood in many other marketing programs or by copywriters. Your ideal clients should be ideal for you too. That's why I teach a prototyping exercise to do before you overly define who your dream client really is.     "I want to make my message feel more like me...and I want to repel the right people and also attract the right people."  I love this question and it's something I get to dive into with a client this week.  AND, I wanted to bring it to the podcast to share something that you won't hear many talking about in the messaging and copywriting space: There is a cost to being yourself in business.  But, yeah, it's worth it.  It's not just time, money, or even mindset.  When you make a bold declaration about what you want, and you really mean it and are ready to own it, anything that has been lingering around in your life that contradicts that version of you will make itself really loud.  And, your tolerance for it will feel a LOT different from before.  This is all an important part of the process of BECOMING someone who actually says and does the thing. It's not for everyone.
