    The Heritage of the Lord, Part 2: Train Up a Child

    Originally recorded in January 1987, Steve continues the two-part teaching series The Heritage of the Lord. In Part 2, Steve continues looking at the lives of Eli, his sons Hophni and Phinehas, and Samuel, showing the seriousness of a household being kept in order before the Lord. He emphasizes that children are the heritage of the Lord, and that parents carry a responsibility to train, correct, pray for, and guide them in the ways of God.  Steve also highlights Samuel’s response to the voice of the Lord: “Speak, for thy servant heareth.” Through Samuel’s obedience and willingness to serve, this message points to the blessing of a child raised to hear God, honor His Word, and not let His words fall to the ground. The teaching also moves into the story of Esther and Mordecai, showing the fruit of faithful spiritual covering, preparation, and obedience. Esther was raised with wisdom, and when the pressure came, she stood in her place and did not break. This episode is a strong reminder that children are not to be given over to the world, but raised as arrows for the Lord: sharp, straight, attentive, and ready to carry victory into their generation.     The Heritage of the Lord, Part 1: Children Are a Heritage

    Originally recorded on January 11, 1987, this message from Steve begins a two-part teaching series called The Heritage of the Lord. In Part 1, Steve teaches from Psalm 127 and reminds listeners that children are a heritage and reward from the Lord. He uses the picture of arrows in the hand of a mighty man to speak about the importance of raising children to be straight, strong, sharp, and ready to stand for God.  Steve also looks at the lives of Eli, Hophni, Phinehas, and Samuel, showing the difference between children who are left unrestrained and a child raised to minister before the Lord. This message emphasizes the responsibility of the home, the importance of correction, obedience, and training, and the blessing that comes when children are raised in the ways of God. This teaching is a sober but powerful reminder that the heritage of the Lord must be guarded, trained, and prepared to carry blessing, light, and victory into the next generation.     The Promised Land, Part 3: Enjoy the Promise

    In Part 3 of The Promised Land, Steve brings the series together by returning to Joshua 1 and continuing through Acts 3 and Acts 4. This message focuses on God’s desire for His people to not only possess what He has promised, but to walk in victory and enjoy the inheritance He has given. Steve teaches that under the Old Covenant, God called His people to go into the land, push back the enemy, possess their inheritance, and enjoy the promise. Under the New Covenant, believers have been given greater promises through Jesus Christ, His blood, His name, and the authority He gave to His church. Through the healing of the lame man in Acts 3, Steve shows how God was not finished with one miracle. The man rose up, walked, leaped, and praised God, and many others believed as Peter boldly preached Jesus. This episode is a powerful reminder that God wants His people strong, sound, courageous, and walking uprightly in the promises of God.

    The Promised Land, Part 2: Rise Up and Walk

    In Part 2 of The Promised Land, Steve continues the teaching by moving from Joshua 1 into Acts 3, showing how the promises of God are now revealed through the power and authority of Jesus Christ. This episode focuses on Peter and John’s encounter with the lame man at the gate called Beautiful. The man was looking for silver and gold, but through the name of Jesus Christ, he received something far greater: strength, healing, and the ability to rise up and walk. Steve reminds us that the promised land is not only about a physical place, but about walking in the promises, power, and inheritance God has given His people through Jesus. This message calls believers to live with courage, stay separated unto God, meditate on His Word, and walk uprightly in the victory Christ has already won.     The Promised Land, Part 1: Be Strong and Possess the Promise

    In Part 1 of The Promised Land, Steve teaches from Joshua 1 and reminds us that God is faithful to what He has spoken. Even after Moses died, the promise of the land remained, and God raised up Joshua to lead His people forward. This message focuses on the connection between God’s promises and our response. The children of Israel were given an inheritance, but they still had to rise up, cross over, obey God’s Word, and be strong and courageous. Steve emphasizes that the promised land was never separate from the commandments, wisdom, and ways of God. Through this teaching, you are encouraged to meditate on the Word of the Lord day and night, refuse compromise, and walk in courage as they possess what God has promised.

    Victory over all the enemy - Part 2

    In Part 2 of Victory Over All the Enemy, Steve continues the call to live a consistent, full-time walk with God; one that is rooted in truth, discernment, and personal responsibility. This message emphasizes the importance of knowing the Word for yourself, working out your own salvation, and not being carried by the many voices, doctrines, and systems in the world today. With so many paths available, the answer remains simple: if it does not align with the Word of God, leave it.  Steve highlights the need to stay spiritually alert, prayed up, and grounded in Scripture, especially in the times we are living in. Victory comes from living in the “high places” of God—above the confusion, above the darkness, and above the pressures of this world. This teaching also reminds believers that God has equipped His people with everything needed to stand strong—His Word, His Spirit, and spiritual armor to resist the enemy. When we stay close to God, walk in obedience, and keep our hearts clean before Him, we can live with clarity, strength, and lasting victory.

    Victory over all the enemy - Part 1

    In this message, Steve lays a strong foundation for what it means to live in victory over all the enemy through Jesus Christ. Drawing from the truth of the cross and the finished work of Christ, this teaching emphasizes that victory is not partial. It is complete. Jesus triumphed over Satan, broke his power, and made a way for believers to walk in light, authority, and freedom.  Steve explains that this victorious life is not automatic. It requires a continual walk in God—meditating on His Word, obeying His commandments, and staying anchored in the truth. Believers are not called to live up and down, in and out, but to walk steadily in the fullness of what God has provided. This episode reminds listeners that the abundant life Jesus promised is found in Him alone. By staying in His ways and keeping our lives hidden in Christ, we are preserved from the works of the enemy and empowered to live with confidence, peace, and authority.

    How did Jesus handle the devil

    In this message, Steve teaches from Matthew 4, walking through how Jesus responded when He was tempted by the devil and what that means for believers today. When Satan came against Jesus, there was no debate, no reasoning, and no compromise. Jesus answered with one simple, powerful response: “It is written.” Each temptation was met with the authority of God’s Word, showing that victory over the enemy comes through knowing, believing, and speaking Scripture. This teaching emphasizes that the Word of God is not optional—it is our life. Just as Jesus declared that man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God, believers today must be grounded in the Word to stand against the enemy’s tactics. Steve also explains how the enemy works—through thoughts, pressure, and deception—and how Christians are to respond with clarity, authority, and faith. Believers are not to entertain the enemy, reason with him, or play with temptation, but to resist him, stand firm, and declare the truth of God’s Word. This message is a call to know your place in God, to understand your authority through Jesus Christ, and to walk in victory by applying the Word in everyday life. This teaching reminds us that the enemy is defeated, God’s Word is final, and when we stand on what is written, the devil must flee.
