Cheryl Davis - Busy SAHM Mentor, Time Management Coach, Wife

***Top 2.5% Globally Ranked Podcast*** Do you long for time to spend with Jesus? Have you found yourself needing a hug from your husband, so you feel wanted? Do you feel guilty wishing there was more to your life than wiping noses and doing dishes? Are you drowning in the responsibilities of just being Mom? Do you wonder why your pre-mom routines are no longer working? I am so excited that you are here! This podcast will help find peace with the time you do have, start rebuilding routines you need to stay sane, invite you to see yourself how God sees you, and find joy in motherhood. Hi, I’m Cheryl! Wife, SAHM of two girls, Mom Mentor and Jesus follower. For years, I struggled to fit myself into the same routines, spiritual habits and identity I had as a newly married woman. I was frustrated, discouraged and depressed when all I felt at the end of the day was worthless because I couldn’t accomplish all the things I used to be able to do. I finally realized in trying to meet everyone’s needs except my own, I had forgotten who I was and, if I was going to have any joy in motherhood, I had to discover who I had become. I had to rediscover my identity, prioritize my mental, spiritual, and even physical health so I could be the mom my girls needed. If you’re ready to ditch the mom guilt for peace, find Jesus in the middle of the dishes, and love yourself like your babies do, this podcast is for you. Grab your ear pods and start folding laundry, this is Time for Mom.

104 | Do You Talk to Your Body Like It’s God’s Artwork or Your Enemy? | Self‑Worth, Mom Guilt, Biblical Identity, Devotion

Do you ever catch yourself speaking about your body or your worth in ways that would break your heart if your kids said the same things about themselves? Have you embraced self-criticism instead of being thankful of the worth God has for you? Are you noticing the moments where you treat yourself as less valuable than the women you serve, love, or admire — even though Scripture says you were created with the same intentionality and beauty? If so, you’re in the right place.  Hi, Beautiful! I’m Cheryl — wife, SAHM, Coach and Mom Mentor. I learned the not‑so‑secret ways to become the mom my girls needed by prioritizing Jesus, building simple routines that supported my priorities, rejecting mom guilt, and discovering what self‑esteem and self‑worth really look like in everyday motherhood. In Time for Mom, we have honest conversations about comparison, practical devotional moments, and encouragement you can tuck into the cracks of your day. If you’re ready to build faith while washing dishes, rediscover your identity, and love yourself the way your babies already do — grab your earbuds and lock the bathroom door for a minute alone. It’s Time for Mom. In this episode, I’m sharing how God reshapes our self‑esteem and identity through Scripture so you can finally see yourself the way He sees you — with truth, grace, and the kind of love you freely give everyone else. Loving your neighbor starts with learning to love yourself the way God intended — with grace, not self‑criticism. Humility isn’t self‑deprecation; it’s shifting your focus outward while honoring God’s workmanship in you. Speaking harshly about yourself contradicts God’s truth about who He created you to be. Your body is a God‑designed vessel — purposeful, capable, and worthy of care. You were created intentionally, beautifully, and for God’s glory — nothing about you is accidental. 103 | 4 Ways Moms Can Escape the Comparison Trap and Restore Peace

Have you ever looked at your friends, family, or even a stranger and wonder how they are able do all the things you want to do? Are you wishing your home looked like your friends? Do you wish you could trade homes and lives with someone else because they seem to have the life you want? If so, you’re in the right place.  Hi, Beautiful! I’m Cheryl — wife, SAHM, Coach and Mom Mentor. I learned the not‑so‑secret ways to become the mom my girls needed by prioritizing Jesus, building simple routines that supported my priorities, rejecting mom guilt, and discovering what self‑esteem and self‑worth really look like in everyday motherhood. If you’re ready to build faith while washing dishes, rediscover your identity, and love yourself the way your babies already do — grab your earbuds and lock the bathroom door for a minute alone. It’s Time for Mom. In this episode, I’m sharing 4 ways to fight comparison so you can appreciate your mom life without wishing you could escape motherhood.  Lean into how God wired you — not anger or frustration, but the character He placed in you to serve your family well. Redirect your attention when comparison creeps in; their life is never what it seems from the outside. If something isn’t working, release it — just like a broken toy that’s no longer serving its purpose. Finding what works for you takes time, prayer, and patience. 102 | God Sees Every Mom and the Little Things She Does - Devotion

Do you ever look at your SAHM routines and wonder if the “little things” you do actually matter — especially as comparison starts to whisper that your impact should look bigger? Have you wondered whether anything of the seeds you’re planting in your kids is sinking in? Are you carrying quiet shame over being “ordinary,” forgetting that God sees the unseen, everyday acts of kindness and obedience as you serve your family? It’s Time for Mom. n this episode, I’m sharing how the small, ordinary things you do as a mom make an impact, so you can stop questioning your worth and start seeing how God is using your everyday acts of faithfulness to grow something beautiful in your home and your family. Small acts of love matter more than big moments. Ordinary motherhood carries Kingdom impact — kindness, service, generosity, and presence are the real “epic deeds” that push back darkness in everyday life. Jesus modeled humble, unseen service — He came as an unassuming servant, showing that greatness is found in obedience, not applause. Your daily work is worship — Scripture reminds moms that doing small tasks with excellence brings praise to God and carries eternal value. Seeds are growing even when you don’t see fruit. Don’t give up in the little things. 101 | Feeling Like a Failure? Overcome Mom Guilt and Perfection with Guest Sandy Cooper

Do you feeling guilty with how you are a mother? Like no matter what you do, you should be doing something else? Have you been carrying mom guilt so long that it’s started to shape your priorities, your self‑esteem, and the way you see your own self‑worth? Are you constantly comparing yourself to other moms and wonder if you’re somehow doing motherhood “wrong” because you can't be "that mom"? If so, you’re in the right place.  Today, we have a super special guest, the amazing and fabulous Sandy Cooper! Sandy Cooper is an award-winning author of three books, a student of the Bible, and a professionally certified plant-based home chef. She has been married to Jon for over 32 years and is mom to three young adults, a son-in-law, and a nine-month-old son in Heaven. She has been helping frazzled moms find peace since 2008 at thescooponbalance.com and is the co-founder of Writing Off Social, where she helps female Christian writers grow their audience without social media. Sandy is the host of The Balanced MomCast, the cohost of Writing Off Social: The Podcast. She writes at Behind the Balance on Substack, from her home office in Florida, where she lives with her family (and the ocean). Key Takeaways: Social media comparison sets moms up to feel like they’re doing motherhood wrong. Mom guilt isn’t permanent — you grow, mature, and learn your way out of it. Feeling like you should always be doing something else is a sign of overwhelm, not failure. Embrace the kind of mom you are — chaos-loving or order-loving — without guilt. Nothing could have fully prepared you for the challenges of motherhood. If you had known every challenge ahead of time, you might have hesitated — but God knew you were the right mom. God hand‑selected you for your child and equips you for every challenge. You are the exact right mom for your child, no matter what you’re facing. When you feel like you’re failing, speak to yourself with the same kindness you’d give a friend. Great parenting cannot remove struggle from your child’s life — struggle grows resilience. Your perfection will not produce perfect kids. Self‑control is a fruit of the Spirit, and you have access to it because Jesus lives in you. Self‑control is a muscle — the more you use it, the stronger it becomes. You grow stronger every time you exercise the power God placed within you. Apologize early and often — humility transforms relationships. A good mom knows she is flawed and leads with honesty and humility. 100 | Are You Helping or Hurting? A Faith Lesson Found in Motherhood - Devotion

Do your routines fall apart because you’re trying to “correct” everything around you instead of letting God lead? Have you caught yourself stepping into a role that isn’t yours — as a SAHM or even a believer? Are you struggling to keep your priorities rooted in love when discouragement, control, or perfectionism seem like the best thing in the moment but leave you filled with guilt instead of peace? If so, you’re in the right place.  Hi, Beautiful! I’m Cheryl — wife, SAHM, Coach and Mom Mentor. I learned the not‑so‑secret ways to become the mom my girls needed by prioritizing Jesus, building simple routines that supported my priorities, rejecting mom guilt, and discovering what self‑esteem and self‑worth really look like in everyday motherhood. Cheryldavisauthor@gmail.com In this episode, I’m sharing how easily our correction can slip from love into control, so you can recognize the motives behind your reactions and begin responding with the kind of grace, patience, and Holy‑Spirit‑led love that actually builds relationships. Correction without love becomes control, damaging connection and growth — whether between siblings or believers. Love-led guidance creates room for choices, teamwork, and spiritual maturity, unlike rigid, controlling correction. Christians harm more than they help when correction starts from confrontation instead of compassion, sowing division instead of unity. Different convictions aren’t wrong — obedience to God is the standard, not legalism or personal preference. Our calling is to protect, encourage, and build up weaker believers, guarding their conscience rather than flaunting our freedom. If correction isn’t rooted in love, silence and prayer may be the best response, letting the Holy Spirit do His work. 99 | New Dog, Panic, and the Perseverance God Taught Me

Do you ever feel your routines or priorities slipping because the weight of responsibility hits harder than you expected — and comparison starts whispering, "It's not worth it"? Have you ever felt overwhelmed by the responsibility in front of you and wondered if your perseverance is even making a difference? Are you struggling to remember your God‑given calling when the daily push to show up, teach, and stay consistent leaves you discouraged and wondering if you're invisible? If so, you’re in the right place.  Hi, Beautiful! I’m Cheryl — wife, SAHM, Coach and Mom Mentor. Cheryldavisauthor@gmail.com In this episode, we're talking persistence in motherhood, calling, and life — not the glamorous kind, but the gritty, everyday perseverance when I’d rather quit. Thank you for sticking with me for a full year and almost 100 episodes. Your presence here matters more than you know. Perseverance often starts with panic. Responsibility stretches me, but God strengthens me in the stretch. Obedience builds momentum. This podcast grew because I kept showing up and trusted God with the results. Motherhood requires long‑term consistency. Teaching, training, and loving my kids is slow work — but it matters. Discouragement doesn’t mean I’m failing. It’s a normal part of parenting and calling, not a sign to quit. Faithfulness over perfection. God honors persistence even when I feel tired, unsure, or overwhelmed. 98 | Just a Mom? Discover How God Defines You - Devotion

In celebration of the 100th episode and 1 year anniversary of Time for Mom, please leave a 5-star review on Apple Podcasts – https://bit.ly/timeformompodcast Take a screen shot and email it to me and I will read it on the podcast! Cheryldavisauthor@gmail.com Do you ever slip into routines that make you feel like you're “just a SAHM,” forgetting your God‑given identity is deeper than any role you fill? Have you noticed how quickly motherhood can overshadow your identity, making you forget you’re a daughter of the King? Are you measuring your self‑worth by the roles you carry instead of remembering you are deliberately designed, deeply loved, and more than any season you’re walking through? In this episode, I’m sharing how culture tries to define us by productivity and roles so you can release those expectations and rest in the truth that God calls you treasured, known, and deliberately designed. Your identity is not limited to motherhood — culture may label you “just a mom,” but God calls you chosen and loved. Roles shift, but your identity in Christ stays steady — when life changes, you don’t lose who you are; you are God’s daughter first. People may define you by what you do, but God defines you by who you are — His child, deliberately designed and deeply loved. You are more than your productivity — God values you beyond tasks, roles, or how much you accomplish in a day. Your story is bigger than any season you’re walking through — illness, motherhood, work, or struggle do not get the final say on your identity. Teach your children their identity in Christ — when they know who they are to God, they won’t be shaken by changing roles or expectations. God sees you as His treasured daughter — beloved, cherished, and held, no matter what role you’re currently living out.
