Buried Truth

Drisana

Buried Truth is a podcast for messy people asking honest questions about God, faith, the Bible, suffering, doubt, and the parts of life that don’t fit neatly into a testimony. I’m not a pastor. I didn’t go to seminary. I don’t have all the answers. I’m someone who has lived through enough to know that faith and pain can exist in the same room. Here, we talk about the Bible without pretending every story is simple. We talk about unanswered prayers, disappointment, trauma, doubt, healing, and what it looks like to keep wrestling with God when life doesn’t turn out the way you thought it would. I’ll share biblical stories, pieces of my own story, and the questions we’re often afraid to ask out loud. You don’t have to have your faith figured out to be here. Bring your questions. Bring your story. Bring the messy parts. There’s room for you here. Hope for messy people. Stay curious. Stay rooted in truth.

Maybe We Need Somewhere to Be Honest

I don’t know exactly what Buried Truth is going to look like from here. Not because I’m walking away from it. Quite the opposite. I’m just done trying to have the whole thing figured out before I take the next step. Right now, I’m trusting Jesus to guide me and being willing to share what I know I’m supposed to share—even when I don’t know exactly where it’s leading. And I think part of that starts with letting you know me. Not the polished version. Not a perfectly packaged testimony where I tell you everything that went wrong, explain what God was doing, and tie it all up with a bow at the end. My actual story. In this episode, I’m letting you into what has been happening with my health, where I am today, and some of the experiences that have shaped the person behind this microphone. There’s a lot more to tell. And I’ll tell it in pieces as we go. Because maybe we need somewhere to be honest. Somewhere we can talk about God and still admit we have questions. Somewhere we can love Jesus and talk about suffering, anger, doubt, trauma, disappointment, and the prayers that weren’t answered the way we desperately wanted them to be. Somewhere for the people who don’t feel like they fit the mold. I want to hear your stories too. Your questions about God. The Bible. Faith. Suffering. The things that don’t make sense. The things you’ve been afraid to ask out loud. I don’t know what the structure of Buried Truth will ultimately look like. But I know why I’m here. So I’m going to keep showing up, keep telling the truth, and trust Jesus with where it goes from here. You can come along for the ride. Stay curious. Stay rooted in truth.
