Welcome to Worms in the Word, a podcast for faithful followers of The Lord Jesus Christ who are committed to truth, holiness, and spiritual discernment. The aim of this podcast is to help believers rightly divide the Word: “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a worker who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.” – 2 Timothy 2:15 (NASB) to stand firm in truth, and, against all odds, walk in obedience. Here, we expose the subtle distortions that have crept into the Church, and we learn to recognize the enemy's tactics not through speculation, but through Scripture. This podcast aims to glorify The Lord Jesus and train up faithful followers of The Lord Jesus Christ who can rightly divide the Word, stand firm in truth, and walk in obedience.

Episode 3: Part 1/2 Repentance and Covenant: Guarding Against FOMO, the Worm That Steals Heaven

In this episode of Worms in the Word, we dive into a deceptive snare that has crept into the hearts of many believers today: the worm of FOMO — the fear of missing out. The enemy uses this subtle bait to distract, divide, and decay the repentance of God’s people, turning their hearts away from the blessed hope of Christ’s return. Have you noticed how often believers shrink back from talking about eternity, the Second Coming, or even repentance? Some fear it, some avoid it, and some are indifferent altogether. But the Bible is clear: without repentance, there is no true preparation for the covenant blessings of God and the eternal inheritance we have in Jesus Christ. Together, we’ll uncover: • 🪱 The worm of FOMO — how fear of missing out decays a believer’s repentance and keeps them entangled in this world. • 📖 Scriptural warnings — Jesus Himself taught of the worm that does not die (Mark 9:48) and Psalm 22 paints the picture of the crimson worm, pointing to Christ who bore our sin. • 💔 The danger of shallow repentance — why mere lip-service or intellectual belief is not enough, and how the enemy twists truth into deception. • ✝️ True covenant with God — how repentance, surrender, and obedience sanctify us and prepare us as the Bride of Christ. • 🔥 The hope of restoration — how God uses repentance to realign our hearts with His promises and lead us into freedom. This episode will challenge the self-help mindset and the cultural obsession with “living your best life now,” exposing it as a lie that robs us of eternal life. Instead, we return to the biblical truth that salvation is by faith, and sanctification comes through obedience. Key Scripture highlights include: • 2 Corinthians 7:10 – “For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas worldly grief produces death.” • 1 Peter 5:7–9 – a call to humility, trust, and resisting the schemes of the enemy. • Proverbs 3:5–6 – the wisdom of acknowledging God in all our ways so He may direct our paths. You’ll also hear part of my own testimony — how the worm of FOMO once split my mind and how Jesus Christ restored me through repentance, covenant, and His redeeming power. This isn’t just another teaching; it’s a call to prepare. The Lord is returning for a Bride without spot or wrinkle. Repentance is the doorway into covenant, and covenant is the seal of belonging to Him. 🎧 Tune in and be equipped to recognize deception, resist the enemy’s bait, and stand firm in the unshakable truth of God’s Word. ✨ If this episode blesses you, please share it with a friend who needs encouragement to walk in repentance and readiness for the Lord Jesus Christ. Don’t forget to subscribe, leave a review, and join me each week as we expose deception and return to the pure Word of God.

Episode 2: Saved by Faith, Sanctified by Obedience: The Lie of Self-Help, the Power of Surrender, and the Testimony of a Split Mind Healed

In the last episode we talked about the Gift of Discernment and what true discernment is based on the Holy Word of God. Today, we will go through some foundational understanding of what it means to be saved by The Lord Jesus Christ, how the Lord saved me from the worldly deception of Self Help, and the urgency of the times that we are currently in. To not confuse or deceive, this podcast is to Glorify the Lord Jesus Christ in His kingdom. Because the nature of this episode will reveal my own testimony and use my own life as an example, I want to begin this episode with the point of the Scripture: The point is The Lord Jesus, who He is, and God's plan for His Kingdom.

Episode 1: Discernment & the Worm of Human Intellect

In this opening episode of Worms in the Word, we expose the worm of human intellect, the deception that discernment comes from experience, intuition, or emotional insight. But true discernment is not born of the flesh; it is a manifestation of the Holy Spirit, and it only operates through obedience to The Lord Jesus Christ and His unchanging Word. The Holy Spirit revealed that in this generation, many are confusing cleverness with spiritual clarity. But discernment is a gift that requires action—it is received through obedience, and it only functions when the Word of God is hidden in the heart. “Write them on the tablet of your heart.” – Proverbs 7:3 “Be diligent to present yourself approved… accurately handling the word of truth.” – 2 Timothy 2:15 Without the Word, there’s nothing for the Spirit to call to remembrance and no defense against deception.
