    Dear God, Amen: Acts 24 — The Gospel Isn't Convenient, It's Redemption

    What happens when following Jesus becomes inconvenient? And what keeps us from fully accepting the free gift of salvation? In this episode of Dear God, Amen, Adam and Obie walk through Acts 24, where Paul stands accused before Governor Felix. Despite false accusations, uncertainty, and two years of confinement, Paul continues to proclaim the gospel. Even when Felix repeatedly summons Paul, hoping for a bribe, Paul keeps giving him something far more valuable: the truth about Jesus Christ. Together, Adam and Obie explore the difference between being a fan of Christianity and truly putting your faith in Christ.     What does God's power really look like? We understand horsepower, powerful equipment, and the strength it takes to get things done. But do we understand the power of God working in our lives?     Pray, Pray, Pray: More Than Conquerors

    What does it really mean to be more than a conqueror? In this episode of Big Sky Testify: Pray, Pray, Pray, Adam dives into Romans 8:28–39 to explore God's purpose for His people, the meaning of predestination, and the incredible assurance that nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus. Paul reminds us that God's purpose isn't simply to make our circumstances comfortable or remove every hardship. His purpose is to conform us to the image of His Son. Through Romans 8 and Ephesians 1, we explore God's saving work through the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, including redemption, adoption, justification, and the promise of future glory. Friends plead with him not to go, yet Paul remains committed to what God has called him to do. His response is striking: he is ready not only to be bound, but even to die for the name of the Lord Jesus. Eventually, those around him respond, “The Lord’s will be done.” In this episode of Dear God, Amen, Adam and Obie dig into Paul's courage, sacrifice, and unwavering focus on the Gospel. They talk about what it means to follow Jesus when the path isn't easy, why we sometimes need to set aside non-essential traditions for the sake of the Gospel, and the danger of turning faith into a checklist of religious works.
