    This is a BEACH…Not a “Liberry”!

    This week on Not So Dear A.B.B.Y., we hear about how one woman’s belongings go missing every time her sister and posse come to visit. Whose sticky fingers are behind the missing personal items, dollar store trinkets, laundry pods and rat traps? Hide your kids, hide your wives, hide your husbands, because “Sissy” is coming to visit and she’s snatching up everything! Then we hear about an ex-wife who wants her ex-husband and his new girlfriend to babysit her baby (with another man) while she goes on a vacation with the new baby daddy. The girlfriend wants to know if she’s the a-hole for saying “NO”. Can I get a “Hell NO”? Next, we step away from cray-cray and talk about how one woman’s act of kindness made a lasting impact on one little girl from Italy and remains forever in her heart. With all the craziness in this world, a seemingly small act of kindness goes a long way and restores faith in the humanity of others. Let’s pay if forward this holiday season!  We switch it up this week and talk about “What I Like” instead of “What Grinds My Gears”. Put on some Van Halen and get out of the way, Tammy’s about to get a speeding ticket! Shelly likes to be treated like a lady and Cyn likes eye contact…and we all three are the kind of Queens who like to sit on the thrown in the handicapped stall. Don’t judge us, wheels aren’t required for that stall! Cyn shares how she got caught up in a funeral procession during rush hour traffic one day and ends up joining them and paying her respects to Ernie J. Thomas. You can’t make up this kind of greatness! Does that make her a funeral crasher? Finally, we hear about a man who wants quiet time on the beach. This is a BEACH…NOT A “Liberry”!!!!     Grab your favorite tumbler, ladies – the three of us are diving into “should I say ‘I do’ or ‘I do-it-myself’?” territory. A widowed listener writes in (thanks for trusting us, by the way) with a decades-old secret that’s itching to bite: she’s wondering whether to confess an affair to her newly-single brother-in-law (yikes, right?). We untangle the “what ifs” and “why did Is” and ask: is there ever a way to dress up a skeleton so it doesn’t look like a Halloween prop? Then we shift gears to the universal pet peeves portion: emergency vehicles weaving through traffic like they should be in a high-speed chase, fast-food bags missing napkins like a crime scene, and clothes-hanger nests growing in the closet. Because yes, tangled hangers are a spiritual problem. Finally, we wrap up with a cautionary tale about Mr. Fix-It who thought tap water in a Rogaine bottle was a brilliant shortcut.     Cold Feet and Hot Beer

    This week on Not So Dear A.B.B.Y., we uncover a skeleton in one widow’s scandalous closet and deliberate on whether there’s any way to dress it up to make it not look so bad. We jump “cold feet” first into relationship doubts, a cancelled wedding and the fact that there are many stories of people who jump ship before the “Big Day”…and others who should have. Let’s face it, sometimes there’s just nowhere to steer to keep some relationSHIPS from hitting an iceberg.  Then we discuss the gears that grind when people don’t make way for emergency response vehicles on their way to the rescue and we suggest an appropriate response to unexpected disruptions. Clothes hangers get tangled and fast food napkins never make it into the bag…and it all grinds our gears. Finally, we learn that tap water in a Rogaine bottle never hurt anyone, but it also never helped one man’s bald spot grow hair! Cyn, Tammy, and the crew dive into their 16Personalities (Myers-Briggs) results and unpack what it means to be an INFJ, ENFJ, and everything in between. From overthinking friendships to being the “therapist friend” everyone calls at midnight, we get hilariously honest about how our personality types show up in love, work, and girls’ trips gone sideways. Cyn admits that her “INFJ-A” might be the reason she plans everything and cries about it later, while Tammy’s “INFJ-T” reminds us that being emotional doesn’t mean being weak, it means you care deeply (and maybe need a nap). We also talk about how knowing your type can help (or hurt) your relationships, and what happens when you’re married to your opposite personality. Spoiler: it explains a lot.
