Breaking Food Addiction: Holding Your Inner Child

In this episode, Mark Fox shares his transformative journey of overcoming a lifelong food addiction rooted in childhood emotional trauma and unhealthy family dynamics. Facing severe health crises - including Type 2 Diabetes and relying on 15 daily medications - Mark transformed his life by addressing the root issue behind his unhealthy eating patterns. Through nervous system regulation, inner-child work, and mindful eating, he released fear, shed significant weight, and redefined his relationship with food as fuel rather than emotional comfort. Key Topics Covered: Uncovering Root Causes: How childhood emotional rejection, suppressed family emotions, and school bullying led to using food as an emotional coping mechanism. The Reality Check: The health turning point with Type 2 Diabetes that sparked his shift from fear-driven weight loss to deep emotional healing. Inner Child & Trauma Work: Using visualization and self-compassion to address cravings at their emotional root rather than through restriction. Nervous System Regulation: Transitioning out of sympathetic survival mode to allow sustainable physical and mental recovery. Thank you Mark for sharing your story If you feel touched by this episode, leave a comment below Get full access to The Many Flavours of Ahhh’s Substack at themanyflavoursofahhh.substack.com/subscribe

    Eros on the Dancefloor

I love to imagine what might happen during future astrological transits - predictive astrology - but, honesty, that’s not where my calling is. I can muse upon the fact that Donald Trump’s Ascendant is the degree of the South Node of this upcoming eclipse August 13th, and how that might spell his death, but that really is for my own curiosity rather than something to necessarily be sharing as “This will likely happen!” No, my gift, which shows up as one of the Leadership Gates that I have defined (Gate 13) is all about ‘leading from the past’. Sharing from past experience is what brings me joy, and where my wisdom shines, and sometimes it’s helpful to sit with those experiences and let them percolate, digest, metabolise, before sharing them. Other times, like in this episode, it’s fun to share the stories whilst they’re fresh, and share them whilst the astrology of that moment is still alive and/or emanating through the field. In this episode I share about the gig I went to last night with a group of friends - Josiah LeBreton’s ‘Ruia Te Po’ album release party - and the pre party sex talk over wine and chocolate in a friend’s living room. Conservation in Aotearoa New Zealand

Wow, what a delicious conversation with Alicia Leaf Poulson I began with a question: what inspired her to get into conservation work and when did that begin? I expected her to answer with something similar to what she told me previously - that during Covid there was a huge amount of funding allocated towards conservation work in New Zealand, and saying yes to an opportunity at that time is how her work began… But the conversation took a different turn and led into much more of a feeling space than I was expecting. I really enjoyed listening back to this one - from start to finish - and I trust that many of you will enjoy this one too Thank you Alicia Leaf Poulson, for saying yes to this, and thank you Mother India for your delicious turmeric latte 🙏 Get full access to The Many Flavours of Ahhh’s Substack at themanyflavoursofahhh.substack.com/subscribe

What is the Question? With Toni Popp - The Joy of Trespassing

WTFIGORN?! Eclipse Portal, Saturn (Return) in Aries + Neptune

What the f is going on right now?! This is a snapshot through my particular astrological lens of the energies at hand. Even if you happen to listen to this one after the eclipse portal closes (March 3-4 2026), there are some broader themes talked about here, including: Saturn’s transit through Aries: Now until April 2028 Neptune in Aries: now until 2038 Eclipse portals in general The Saturn-Neptune conjunction in Aries There’s a few f-bombs in here and a few of my own opinions, take these with a grain of salt and I hope this inspires some insights to emerge within your own psyche. New Lineage, New Paradigm: Plant Medicine, Decolonisation & the Outer Planets w/ Sancya Luz #2

Sancya Luz has been apprenticing with shamanic plant medicines in the Peruvian Amazon for over a decade and is a devotee of the Venusian Rose path. In this episode, she shares her recent transition into a new lineage and the profound frequency shift catalyzed by a rare bioluminescent tree. With all of the outer planets shifting signs this year, we dive into these paradigm shifting energies now in motion: — Jupiter in Cancer — Saturn and Neptune initiating a new cycle in Aries — Uranus entering Gemini — Pluto’s arrival in Aquarius Together we explore the evolutionary edges of decolonisation, narcissism, planetary awakening, tech dystopia/utopia, war, environmental crisis, and the sacred tension between receptivity and response in times of radical change. Sexual Initiation for Men with Initiatrix Gayatri Beegan

This is a very juicy conversation with Gayatri Beegan about Men's Sexuality We talk about… the lack of rites of passage in the modern western world harnessing our sexual energy to bring more aliveness into our entire system, mind and body. the role of the temple priestesses in 'Taking the War out of the Man' in times of old as the men would return from battle. and so much more… Since 2012, Gayatri has held transformative spaces for men to awaken the aliveness of their being through erotic awakening. She has seen firsthand how many men feel disconnected from their sexual energy — or unsure how to wield it with integrity. In a world that often shames or suppresses masculinity, Gayatri's work invites men into full-spectrum embodiment, where sexual vitality, emotional depth, and purpose align. Blending Tantric wisdom with grounded practice, Gayatri supports men to strengthen their presence, deepen relationships, and harness their sexual energy as a force for creativity, confidence, and conscious leadership. At the heart of her work is a single intention: to guide men back to the truth of who they are — so they can stand in their power, lead from the heart, and move through life with clarity.
