    When Insight Stops Working: The Missing Piece in Emotional Eating Healing

    You can analyze your emotional eating. You can know your triggers. You can go to therapy. And yet, emotional eating can still show up. This is one of the most confusing places to be, because you have so much insight and awareness and yet nothing is actually shifting your emotional eating. So you feel stuck. There's just a difference between insight and actual behaviour change. So you might understand your compulsion, but you're still actively in your compulsion with food. So the mind is trying to solve this problem by analyzing it, noticing patterns, but the body keeps repeating the same behaviour. This doesn't mean that you're failing. It just means that you're looking in the wrong place.     Why Emotional Eating Persists Even When You’ve Done the Work

    So if you're someone who's disciplined, self-aware, who's genuinely done the inner work, and it still feels like you struggle with emotional eating, and then this video is for you.     Why Weight Loss Drugs Like Ozempic Don’t Stop Emotional Eating (What Actually Does)

    So if you struggle with emotional eating, at some point, you might have wondered, would this fix it? Maybe you've seen Ozempic or other weight loss drugs and thought “maybe this is a solution to my issue”. You see these drugs everywhere - on social media, in the subway, maybe even recommended by a doctor. And maybe you've thought “what if I suppressed my appetite? Would that stop the food noise? So, if my appetite is suppressed, the food noise is quieter, and I might actually be able to finally feel free around food.” And before we go any further, this video is not about shaming you and it's not about shaming those that choose to use medication.     Why You Feel So Out of Control With Food (What No One Ever Explained to Me About Emotional Eating)

    If you've ever found yourself thinking this about your emotional eating: “Why can't I stop going to food?” “Why do I feel so out of control?” “Why do I keep it together in other areas of my life? But food just takes me over and I spiral and I just can't seem to get a handle on it?” And you've tried the diets, the personal trainers, the willpower, and it doesn't seem to work for your emotional eating - you’re not broken, you're not weak. This is not a willpower issue. What no one explained to me was that this pattern goes so much deeper.     Why Quick Fixes Don’t Help You Stop Emotional Eating

    So we all want quick fixes, especially when it comes to things that feel really painful, like emotional eating. And I get it. I tried all of the quick fixes I could find when I was going through my own emotional eating journey. I tried the diets, I tried the personal trainers. I tried the detoxes, the sprints, all of the things I could get my hands on, even therapy, and it didn’t help me shift this pattern. And while they might feel helpful for a little while because you feel like you have a sense of agency, they quickly fall to the wayside when you get triggered and you're back in your emotional eating spiral.
