    Meatball Football - YAPS S02E03

There are two Tottenham Hotspurs at the moment. Spurs Women are flying, playing lovely football and giving us the unfamiliar experience of actually looking forward to watching Tottenham. We talk Martin Ho, Olivia Holdt, Signe Gaupset, Victoria Pelova and whether this team can genuinely challenge for a top-three WSL finish. Then we have to talk about the men. Bottom of the league, still without a win and somehow leaving us debating whether Roberto De Zerbi needs more time or whether things are already getting rather uncomfortable. We discuss the performances behind the results, Kulusevski as a possible number nine, Richarlison's bizarre situation, Mathys Tel, injury management and some decidedly questionable squad planning. And finally: has Spurs built a small, technical side at precisely the moment the Premier League has embraced Meatball Football? Plus, Manchester City gets exactly 30 seconds each, we establish that 5'8" is a perfectly respectable height, and unveil the revolutionary footballing strategy of playing better more often. COYS.

    Undeniable - YAPS S02E01

Undeniable Every club has players supporters argue about. This episode is about the ones who shouldn't need defending anymore. We discuss the Spurs players who've forced their way into the conversation through performances rather than reputation, like Djed Spence and will Lucas Bergvall stick around and fight for a spot in the team in Roberto De Zerbi's first full season. There's also plenty of transfer chat, debate over Romero's future, the captaincy, squad depth, and which players still have a point to prove. As always, it's equal parts optimism, football chat and the occasional wildly confident prediction. COYS.

Let's Never Talk of Last Season Again - YAPS S01E12

One season. Countless questionable decisions. Time for some awards. In our annual COYSky End of Season Awards, we hand out the silverware that really matters, debating the best goal, best signing, young player, biggest disappointment, manager of the season, transfer chaos, memes and, ultimately, Spurs' Player of the Season. Along the way there's plenty of disagreement, a healthy amount of self-inflicted suffering, and several reminders of why supporting Tottenham is never, ever straightforward. If you've been through the season with us, this is the perfect way to put a lid on it. Until next season gives us a whole new set of problems. COYS.

    Strangely UnSpursy - YAPS S01E11

Strangely UnSpursy. A phrase not often associated with Tottenham Hotspur, but one that crops up surprisingly often in this discussion. The YAPS crew review the final weeks of the season, reflect on the Leeds, Chelsea and Everton matches, and pick out the players who dragged Spurs over the line. There's also a deep dive into the Thomas Frank experiment, why Roberto De Zerbi may be a better fit, and what Spurs should do with a squad facing another big summer of change. Along the way we discuss Kinski's rise, Bentancur's revival, Romero's future, Kevin Danso's role, and the results of Doug's fan survey on what supporters want from the club next season. Football. Transfers. Questionable opinions. Just another podcast about Spurs. COYS.

The Hard Reset Brigade | YAPS S01E10

Spurs don’t need a tweak. They need a reset. In The Hard Reset Brigade, we react to a run of results that raises more questions than answers. A new manager arrives, injuries pile up, performances fluctuate — and suddenly relegation talk doesn’t feel quite so ridiculous. We get into the Sunderland loss, Brighton draw, Wolves win, and the strange mix of hope and frustration running through it all. Is this a team on the edge of something better… or something worse? There’s talk of a full reset, a possible clear-out, and the uncomfortable idea that this might just be where Spurs are right now. Recorded at a moment that may already have shifted —but the feeling? Still familiar. COYS. ReferencesThe Game Is About Glory - https://thegameisaboutglory.co.uk/Poddenham Podspur - https://open.spotify.com/show/1uaXXok7JdpKOqApubr2cR

Two Door Cinema Club - YAPS S01E09

Spurs are back… and so is the chaos. After a turbulent run — including a difficult result at home to Forest — the pressure ramps up and the questions start coming thick and fast. In this episode of YAPS, we dig into what we’re actually seeing on the pitch. Are there genuine signs of improvement, or are results telling the real story? Why does every setback seem to trigger relegation talk? And how much of the current mood is being shaped by reaction rather than reality? We also get into individual errors, squad confidence vs quality, and the bigger question hanging over everything — where are Spurs actually heading? Recorded at a moment in time that may not have lasted very long……but the themes? Very familiar. COYS. How 'Bout Dem Apples - YAPS S01E08

Spurs lose the North London Derby… but is the reaction worse than the performance? In Episode 8, How ’Bout “Dem Apples”, the YAPS crew dig into life under Igor Tudor after just a handful of sessions in charge, the sudden wave of relegation panic, and whether social media narratives are running miles ahead of reality. We debate the Van de Ven clip, the Romero criticism, and whether this is really about the manager — or something more structural at the club. There’s also a sliding doors conversation about key moments in Spurs history, and a look at how Spurs Women might actually be showing the blueprint for identity and recruitment. Measured takes. Gallows humour. A few apples thrown.
