How to Stop Self-Abandonment and Rebuild Self-Trust

Self-trust isn’t built through confidence. It’s built through self-loyalty. In this episode, we’re naming a pattern so many women live inside without realizing it: self-abandonment. Not the dramatic kind, the quiet kind. The reflexive yes. The swallowed no. The “it’s fine” that your body doesn’t believe. We’ll talk about what self-abandonment actually looks like in everyday life, why it feels so normal (especially for high-functioning, emotionally intelligent women), and how it erodes your confidence, boundaries, and identity over time. You’ll learn how to spot the moment you leave yourself, why discomfort isn’t danger, and how to start rebuilding self-trust through small, real-time acts of integrity. If you’re ready to stop choosing peace over truth, this episode is your invitation back home. Coming Home to Yourself: Embodiment, Healing, and the Courage to Reclaim Your Life with Shauna Hawkes

In this guest episode, Celeste sits down with Shauna Hawkes, Embodiment Mentor, to talk about the quiet ways we lose ourselves and the brave, repetitive practice of coming back. They unpack why so many women live on autopilot, how “being productive” becomes a socially-approved way to avoid feeling, and what nervous system regulation actually looks like in real life (spoiler: it starts with slowing down). Shauna breaks down embodiment as lived integration, not information, and explains why most people don’t change because they never repeat the practices long enough for the body to believe them. Celeste and Shauna also explore Gene Keys as a lens for self-understanding: shadow patterns, gifts, purpose, and why naming your patterns can feel like relief instead of another reason to judge yourself. If you’re in a season of saying goodbye to self-abandonment, this conversation is your reminder: you don’t change your life by beating yourself up. You change it by learning to choose yourself, one decision at a time. The Cost of Not Believing You Deserve More: How Low Self-Worth Quietly Shrinks Your Life

This week on My Healing Is Your Healing, we’re closing out our month on self-worth with a truth that doesn’t get talked about nearly enough—because it’s quiet. Low self-worth doesn’t usually sound like self-hatred.  It sounds like I’m fine. It looks like settling. It feels like resignation. Most women don’t walk around thinking they’re unworthy. Instead, they feel tired, flat, uninspired—like life has lost its sharp edges and this is probably as good as it gets. They stop dreaming, not because they’re pessimistic, but because wanting more starts to feel embarrassing, unrealistic, or unsafe. In this episode, we explore:  • How low self-worth shows up as quiet resignation, not loud despair  • Why settling doesn’t feel dramatic—it feels familiar  • The emotional cost of living below your worth  • How self-abandonment gets mistaken for gratitude  • Why “being realistic” often means shrinking yourself  • What changes when you genuinely believe you’re allowed to want more  • How self-worth expands your life—not through force, but through permission This conversation is about the subtle ways we normalize less than we want—and how that normalization slowly steals possibility, aliveness, and joy. Self-worth isn’t about entitlement or demanding more.  It’s about no longer refusing yourself. The Body Knows First: Unlocking Your Inner Wisdom with Mia Dins

What if your intuition isn’t “woo”… it’s your internal navigation system, and you’ve just been trained to ignore it? In this episode, Celeste sits down with Mia Dins (Luna Mia) to talk about soul-led living, radical self-trust, and the difference between the mind’s fear and the body’s truth. They unpack why so many of us keep searching outside ourselves for the “right” blueprint, the perfect coach, the best plan, and how that often becomes a subtle form of self-abandonment. Mia shares how she listens to alignment in her body, what contraction vs expansion actually feels like, and why some of life’s hardest moments can become the exact redirect that brings you back to yourself. They also explore “remembrance” as healing, past lives and soul records, and why growth isn’t always about adding more, it’s often about letting go of what’s been blocking your aliveness. If you’ve been white-knuckling outcomes, overthinking your next step, or craving a deeper sense of inner guidance, this conversation is a reset. In this episode, we cover: Why the mind is loud and intuition is subtle How to recognize contraction vs expansion in your body The trap of giving your power away when you’re vulnerable “Everything is happening for you” without bypassing real painHealing as remembrance: shedding layers, not becoming someone new Why your brain can’t predict what you’re about to gain The difference between surrender and passivity How to start practicing self-trust in small ways, dailyConnect with Mia:  Website: https://www.luna-mia.org Instagram: @mia_dins YouTube: https://youtube.com/@lunamia8?si=IWkHkQFFoUw5i3WD Podcast (Spotify): https://open.spotify.com/show/08DFtmN6zCYbw0YheKdVFR?si=wAV-QAZdQ-eFbQ2Zc6AOJw Work with Mia: Mia offers a Quantum Embodiment program and soul path/Akashic records readings to support embodiment, intuitive trust, and aligned action. How to Stop Dating From Your Wounds: Choosing Alignment Over Familiar Pain

This week on My Healing Is Your Healing, we’re talking about something many women quietly struggle with but rarely name out loud: dating from our wounds. If you’ve ever looked back at your dating history and thought, Why does this feel like the same relationship over and over again, just with a different face?—this episode is for you. We’re unpacking the truth about chemistry, attraction, and why so many of us confuse intensity with connection. Because chemistry isn’t the same thing as alignment. And what feels magnetic isn’t always what’s healthy—it’s often what’s familiar to our nervous system. In this episode, we explore:  • Why chemistry can be unresolved wounds lighting up, not intuition  • How familiar pain masquerades as attraction  • The difference between activation and expansion in dating  • Why anxiety gets mistaken for passion  • How fear of being alone, invisibility, inconsistency, and conditional love shape who we choose  • What dating looks like when you stop performing and start choosing from self-worth  • How to assess alignment without overexplaining, chasing, or fantasizing about potential Dating from worth doesn’t mean you stop wanting connection. It means the center of gravity shifts. You stop scanning for who might choose you and start asking how you feel in someone’s presence. This conversation is about learning to recognize safety, consistency, and calm—not as boredom, but as signs of alignment. The Myth of the Good Woman: Choosing Yourself Without Guilt with Tracy Montgomery

What does it really mean to be a “good woman”… and why does it cost us so much? In this episode of My Healing Is Your Healing, I’m joined by Tracy Montgomery, creator of the Whole and Holy Woman movement. Together, we unpack the cultural and generational programming that teaches women to equate goodness with sacrifice, servitude, and self-abandonment and what happens when a woman finally decides she’s done living for everyone else’s comfort. We talk about the “pick me” wound, the fear of rocking the boat, and how women fracture their identity trying to be everything to everyone. Tracy shares how reclaiming your power often begins in the smallest moments: saying what you want, setting a boundary without apologizing, and choosing yourself first even when it feels uncomfortable. This conversation is for the woman who’s tired of shape-shifting, tired of performing, and ready to come home to herself without needing permission. In this episode, we explore:  • What the world really means by “a good woman”  • How “goodness” becomes a mask for fear and belonging  • The true cost of self-sacrifice: identity fracture, burnout, resentment  • Why “I wasn’t chosen” often means “I wasn’t choosing me”  • The difference between service and self-abandonment  • How to start choosing yourself in practical, everyday ways  • Why discomfort is not danger and how leaning in changes your life And if you’ve ever thought, “If I stop being the good girl, I’ll lose people”… you’re not wrong. But you might finally gain yourself. Overfunctioning Isn’t Love — It’s Fear: How Overgiving Became a Survival Strategy (and How to Stop Carrying the Whole Relationship)

This week on My Healing Is Your Healing, we’re talking about over-functioning—the kind that gets praised, rewarded, and mistaken for love, loyalty, and effort, but is actually anxiety in motion. Many of us were never taught how to rest in relationships. We were taught how to hold everything together. How to anticipate needs. How to manage emotions. How to make ourselves useful, easy, and indispensable so we wouldn’t be left. Over-functioning often looks responsible, caring, and mature on the outside. On the inside, it’s a nervous system trying to stay safe by doing more, carrying more, and compensating for what isn’t being met. In this episode, we unpack:  • What over-functioning really is and why it’s so hard to see  • How it shows up in relationships, friendships, work, and family dynamics  • Why effort gets confused with love  • The hidden cost of being the “low-maintenance” one  • How over-functioning erodes intimacy, desire, and reciprocity  • What actually happens when you stop carrying the whole relationship This conversation is for the woman who is exhausted, resentful, and quietly wondering why it feels so hard to be supported—while feeling guilty for even asking. Over-functioning doesn’t create love.  It creates compliance. And when you stop doing it, relationships either rebalance or reveal themselves. Both are information. In this episode of My Healing Is Your Healing, I’m joined by Alyssa Wolff, founder of The UnBusy Woman and a mom of five who has never identified as “busy”—even while raising children and building a business.
