    Creating More Than Art: Inside Digital Enterprise

    What starts as a simple idea on an iPad can become a greetings card, a tote bag, a T-shirt or even a custom commission. In this episode of Voices of One Fylde, Marilyn Booth is joined by Andy Clark, making his podcast debut, to explore One Fylde's growing Digital Enterprise with session lead Lou Lord and participant Eleanor Siddall. Together they discover how creativity, technology and enterprise are helping people develop new skills, build confidence and turn original artwork into high-quality products.  Lou shares how her background as an artist, designer and qualified art teacher has helped transform the sessions into a thriving creative enterprise, where participants learn everything from digital illustration and printing techniques to producing items for sale and completing customer commissions. The team also discuss why recognising every artist's work, through their own digital signature, is such an important part of the process.  There's also time to hear from Eleanor about her experience of Digital Enterprise, the new skills she's learned and how the sessions encourage everyone to be creative, support one another and try something new. Looking to the future, Lou shares her ambitions for exhibitions, craft fairs and growing the enterprise even further, ensuring more people can discover the talented artists behind the work.  It's an inspiring conversation about creativity, opportunity and proving that Digital Enterprise is about much more than making art—it's about helping people discover what they're capable of.

    Welcoming HFT to One Fylde

    What happens when two organisations with a shared passion for supporting people with learning disabilities come together to learn from one another? In this special episode of Voices of One Fylde, Marilyn is joined by One Fylde CEO Tracey Bush and Stephen Veevers, Chief Executive of HFT, following a two-day visit exploring everything One Fylde has to offer. Together they reflect on the experiences, conversations and ideas that came from the visit, from community projects and supported living to employment opportunities, creative enterprises and Tune-Ability.  Stephen shares his first impressions of One Fylde, the importance of putting the people we support at the centre of everything we do, and the ideas he'll be taking back to HFT. Tracey discusses the value of opening our doors, showcasing the confidence and achievements of the people we support, and how partnerships like this help organisations learn from one another and continue to grow.  It's an uplifting conversation about collaboration, shared values and why working together can create even more opportunities for the people we all support.

    Tough Mudder Yorkshire: Will and Neil Take on the Mud

    Will and Neil join us to talk about representing One Fylde at Tough Mudder Yorkshire. Will is taking on the 15K course after months of training, a few injuries and the realisation that Tough Mudder involves far more than a gentle jog through a field. Neil will tackle the 5K course, pushing himself through the mud and obstacles while thinking of his family and the people who matter to him.  They discuss their training, the obstacles they are excited and slightly less excited about, the importance of teamwork and why they are proud to support One Fylde. Will also explains why inclusion matters and how people can achieve remarkable things when the right support is in place.  Expect plenty of laughs, talk of missing trainers, ice water, monkey bars and post challenge food, alongside a heartfelt conversation about raising money and awareness for the people One Fylde supports.  Please support the team by donating or sharing their fundraising pages.     Voices of One Fylde – Lytham Festival Edition

    Bernard popped into the studio to share his excitement ahead of a day at Lytham Festival, where he'll be helping collect donations for One Fylde.  From talking about dancing, meeting people and enjoying the atmosphere, to wondering what food he'll be eating and making everyone laugh along the way, Bernard's enthusiasm is impossible not to smile at. It's a lovely conversation that captures the excitement of being part of one of the Fylde Coast's biggest events and the pride our members take in supporting their community.     Shaping Our Tomorrow with Tracey Bush

    What does a great day look like for you in 2030? In this episode of Voices of One Fylde, Marilyn and Rebecca are joined by One Fylde CEO Tracey Bush to discuss Shaping Our Tomorrow, an exciting event designed to put the people One Fylde supports at the heart of the organisation's future plans. Together they explore why One Fylde is asking people to share their ideas, hopes and ambitions for the future, how those ideas will help shape the organisation's 2027–2030 strategy, and why every voice matters. The conversation looks at what attendees can expect on the day, how ideas will be gathered and turned into action, and why lived experience is so important when planning for the future. There is also a brief look back at Tune-Ability's recent appearance at Lancaster University, where Marilyn and Rebecca shared their own experiences of inclusive broadcasting with researchers and health professionals.     In this special short episode of Voices of One Fylde, Marilyn and Rebecca welcome two judges from BIBAs during their visit to One Fylde. The judges explain what the Best in Business Awards celebrate, what they hope to discover during the judging process and why it is important to understand the real difference an organisation makes. They also hear about the wider work of One Fylde, including Tune-Ability, the café, recycling, the craft group and gardening. The conversation explores why individuals with a learning disability or autism should have the chance to share their voices, tell their own stories and celebrate their achievements. There may not have been any microphones at Libra House, but the iPad was ready for its promotion.
