Why Every Business Owner Needs a Proactive Health Plan

In this episode, Chris Papin and Dr. Rachel McKenzie discuss the journey from traditional medicine to wellness and aesthetics, emphasizing the importance of a proactive approach to health. Dr. McKenzie shares her experiences as a business owner, the challenges of balancing work and family, and the significance of personal accountability in achieving health and happiness. They explore the role of hormone therapy in maintaining quality of life and the necessity of prioritizing self-care in a demanding world. The conversation concludes with a call to action for listeners to find joy and purpose in their work and lives. About the Guest Dr. McKinzie started her education at Oklahoma Christian University with a strong passion to help families. She obtained a degree in psychology before deciding to attend Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. McKinzie gravitated towards the challenging field of Anesthesiology and completed her residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. After practicing for 5 years, it became apparent that, like her, many patients were neglecting their own health to take care of others. At that time, she not only regained her passion for exercise and self-care, but also began a business in health and nutrition counseling. Through that business, she identified a need for those who were unable to achieve the exact results they desire – no matter how hard they work. That is where her passion for aesthetics came in. For the past five years, she has been practicing in both fields of medicine and continues to add to her list of services. Her latest endeavor includes bioidential hormone replacement therapy (or rather optimization) and it seems this will be her most rewarding chapter yet.
