Conversate with Bear | Ep 1. Riding with Bonafide Riders Cycle Club. (The Journey)

In this special episode of Conversate, Bear takes the lead for a conversation about cycling, community, discipline, and the people who helped shape his own journey on two wheels. He sits down with the leadership of the Bonafide Riders Cycle Club to talk about how the Atlanta cycling club grew from just five riders in 2019 into a community built around consistency, safety, accountability, and pushing each other to get better. Bear shares his own journey, from getting humbled on his first Bonafide ride to completing a 100 mile century ride in honor of his mother. The conversation explores the mental and physical side of cycling, what it takes to become a stronger rider, creating opportunities for new cyclists, and why finding the right community can transform what happens both on and off the bike. The crew also looks ahead to the One Love Century, the annual Metro Atlanta Cycling Club event that brings thousands of cyclists together for a weekend of riding, fellowship, and support for youth cycling. The 20th anniversary One Love Century weekend takes place September 3 through September 7, 2026, with the main ride on September 5. “If You’re Done With Black People, Be Done” ft. Tezlyn Figaro | Conversate with Killer Mike ep. 57

Political strategist and commentator Tezlyn Figaro joins Killer Mike for the first time on Conversate for a fiery conversation about Black leadership, political power, accountability, and what it means to stand on principle even when your own community pushes back. Killer Mike and Tezlyn get into the controversy surrounding Invest Fest and Earn Your Leisure, including why Mike pushed for reconciliation while Tezlyn believes some lines have to be drawn. Tezlyn also responds to Brandon Tatum, challenges him to address the facts surrounding the Nolan Wells case, and explains why she believes there are times when taking the high road is not enough. The conversation expands into college versus skilled trades, military service, the shortage of Black attorneys, economic opportunity, and the different ways Black Americans can build power and protect their communities. Killer Mike and Tezlyn do not agree on everything, and that is exactly the point. They challenge each other, reconsider their positions, and show what can happen when disagreement is about sharpening the mission instead of winning the argument. Buy Black, By Blacks ft. Abdur-Rahim Shaheed | Conversate with Killer Mike ep. 56

What does economic freedom actually look like? Killer Mike, Cutmaster Swiff and Moetown Lee sit down with Abdur-Rahim Shaheed, co-founder and CEO of True Products and True Detergent, for a conversation about Black entrepreneurship, ownership, community and the power of circulating the Black dollar. Shaheed traces his entrepreneurial mindset back to growing up in Anniston, Alabama, where Black owned businesses were part of the fabric of the community. After serving in the U.S. military during the Vietnam era, he returned home, saved his money, bought a used postal truck and started selling clothes and fish. He says he hasn’t had a job since. His philosophy is simple: “I’m not chasing money, I’m chasing freedom.” The conversation explores what happened to thriving neighborhood businesses, why ownership matters, the importance of creating institutions that can survive generations and what “do for self” means today. Shaheed also shares how Islam changed his life, the lessons he learned from his father, an ambitious business venture that took him to Sierra Leone, and the belief and courage required to become an entrepreneur before you have everything figured out. Then the crew gets into True Detergent and the mission behind building a Black owned and veteran owned household products company in College Park, Georgia. Shaheed explains the challenges of getting products onto major retail shelves and why supporting independent businesses can create jobs, strengthen communities and build something that lasts. This is a conversation about much more than laundry detergent. It’s about ownership, independence, faith, legacy and what it takes to build freedom for yourself and your community.Visit www.TheTrueProducts.com for all of detergent needs. Cutmaster Swiff Is Back and Has Some Explaining to Do | Conversate with Killer Mike ep. 53

Cutmaster Swiff is back at the table, and Killer Mike and Bear waste no time welcoming him home the only way they know how: by roasting him. Swiff returns from tour with stories about life on the road, watching Big Boi command thousands of fans, altitude sickness in Colorado, emotional support animals backstage, and why veteran artists still feel the need to prove themselves every time they step on stage. The conversation quickly turns to the state of music and creativity. Killer Mike, Cutmaster Swiff, and Bear debate whether artists are waiting too long to release music, why older rappers should keep creating instead of complaining about younger generations, and whether hip hop has lost the balance that once allowed different voices, perspectives, and styles to thrive at the same time. Then the table takes on artificial intelligence. Is AI killing creativity or is it simply the next creative tool, like sampling was for an earlier generation of musicians? Killer Mike makes the case for using AI to sharpen an idea without replacing human imagination, emotion, and soul, while Swiff questions what happens when technology becomes a crutch and companies use it to replace real artists and creative professionals. From AI generated music and the future of art to rap culture, snitching, cults, touring, merchandising, modern audiences, and why life might have people searching for any form of escape, this episode goes everywhere. And with Swiff officially back, the chaos at the Conversate table is right where it belongs. Conversate with Killer Mike brings Killer Mike, Cutmaster Swiff, and Bear together for unfiltered conversations about hip hop, music, culture, politics, business, art, and the issues shaping everyday life. Do Dope. Then Hope. ft. Dr. Carl Hart | Conversate with Killer Mike ep. 52

Columbia University neuroscientist, psychologist, and bestselling author Dr. Carl Hart joins Killer Mike, Bear, and Moetown Lee for a conversation that challenges assumptions and encourages critical thinking. Drawing from more than three decades of research, Dr. Hart discusses the relationship between science, public policy, personal freedom, and the way society forms opinions about some of today's most debated issues. Killer Mike reflects on growing up in Atlanta during the height of the War on Drugs, sharing personal stories about family, addiction, and the experiences that shaped his perspective. Together, the group explores how history, race, education, media, and public policy have influenced the national conversation, while examining what happens when evidence challenges long held beliefs. Rather than offering simple answers, this episode embraces complexity. It is an honest discussion about constitutional rights, personal responsibility, bodily autonomy, neuroscience, criminal justice, and the value of questioning conventional wisdom. Whether you agree with every viewpoint or not, the conversation is a reminder that meaningful dialogue begins with a willingness to listen, think critically, and engage with ideas on their merits.
