    The Wealth That Outlives You

What if the greatest inheritance you leave behind has nothing to do with money? In this episode of Finishing School for the Soul, we explore legacy as generational wealth — not simply the assets we accumulate, but the values, beliefs, confidence, boundaries, courage and sense of self that we pass from one generation to the next. As I prepare to become a grandmother for the first time, I’ve found myself thinking differently about the dent I want to leave in the world. My legacy is no longer just about what I achieve in my lifetime. It is about what lives on in my children, my grandchildren and the generations I may never meet. I reflect on the things I have intentionally tried to give my children: honesty and consistency about who I am; the confidence to use their voices and protect their boundaries; and, perhaps most importantly, the space and grace to try, fail, learn and grow without believing that failure diminishes who they are. But legacy works both ways. My children have also become my North Star, giving me two powerful questions to return to when I face difficult choices: Could I look my children in the eyes and explain this decision? And: If they were in my position, would I give them the same advice I am giving myself? This episode is an invitation to reconsider what it really means to create generational wealth — and to recognise that some of the most valuable things we leave behind can never be deposited in a bank. So grab your journal and ask yourself: What will people remember me for? And what wealth am I creating today that might outlive me? Because one day, we will all become somebody’s ancestors. The question is: what will we leave behind? ✨ Join our conversations, challenge your thinking, and take your reflections offline — journal, ponder, and practice. 📲 Follow us on Instagram @finishing_school_for_the_soul for episode highlights, soul food prompts, and a vibrant community of fellow seekers. When You Stop Trusting Yourself

What happens when the person you no longer trust is you? In this deeply personal episode of Finishing School for the Soul, Roianne explores the moment she realised that the mistrust she carried after the end of a relationship wasn’t only about the person who had hurt her. Somewhere along the way, she had stopped trusting herself. Because self-betrayal doesn’t always arrive dramatically. Sometimes it looks like staying when you know you should leave. Silencing yourself to keep the peace. Compromising one more thing. Showing up fiercely for everyone else while repeatedly failing to show up for yourself. And eventually, you begin to wonder: Can I trust myself to protect me? This is a journaling episode, so bring your notebook. Roianne explores the relationship between self-trust, forgiveness, anger and self-care, including the uncomfortable ways we can punish ourselves when we haven't forgiven the choices we've made. She reflects on the spa days she paid for but couldn't bring herself to attend, the solo trips she has never taken, and the realisation that caring for herself sometimes felt like taking something away from somebody else. She also asks a bigger question about relationships: when we compromise pieces of ourselves for another person, do we ever intentionally reclaim them when that relationship ends? Perhaps rebuilding self-trust isn't about becoming someone new. Perhaps it's about gathering up the pieces of yourself you've left behind. Grab your journal and reflect: When did you first begin betraying yourself? When did you last do something purely for you — and how easy was it to give yourself permission? What story do you tell yourself when self-care feels selfish or indulgent? And what would it look like to consistently show up for yourself again? Class is in session. It’s time to rebuild the most important relationship you have: the one with yourself. Finishing School for the Soul — because in the middle of busy lives, we still need to remember to feed our souls. ✨ Join our conversations, challenge your thinking, and take your reflections offline — journal, ponder, and practice. 📲 Follow us on Instagram @finishing_school_for_the_soul for episode highlights, soul food prompts, and a vibrant community of fellow seekers. The Revelation in the Reset

Season Two Premiere What if the reset you've been resisting is actually the beginning of your freedom? Welcome back to Finishing School for the Soul. In the opening episode of Season Two, Roianne Nedd explores one of life's most powerful yet uncomfortable experiences: the reset. Whether it's a relationship that's run its course, a friendship that no longer feels safe, a career that has lost its meaning, or simply the growing sense that your life no longer fits who you're becoming, every reset begins long before we acknowledge it. Drawing on her own experiences of grief, reinvention, career transitions and personal growth, alongside years of coaching and supporting others through transformation, Roianne shares practical and thought-provoking reflections on how to navigate life's turning points with greater intention. In this episode you'll discover: • Why your intuition often recognises the need for change before your mind does. • How slowing down can make even the most difficult transitions more manageable. • Why healing isn't passive—it requires courage, boundaries and deliberate action. • How to find calm in the eye of life's storms. • Why seeking closure from other people may be keeping you stuck. • Three powerful journaling questions to help you begin your own reset. Season Two introduces a new theme at the heart of Finishing School for the Soul: the belief that we're living through a Work/Life Renaissance—a time to stop simply building impressive careers and start creating meaningful lives. If you've ever wondered whether you're outgrowing your current chapter, this conversation is for you. Because sometimes the greatest revelation isn't what you've lost. It's who you're becoming. Journal prompts from this episode: What do I truly desire? What do I detect isn't working? What do I need to do to reset? Getting to Grief

In this heartfelt debut episode, host Roianne guides us through a deep and vulnerable exploration of grief, shedding light on the quiet ways it shapes our lives. With honesty and emotional clarity, she traces her personal journey—from early voids and repressed sorrow to a growing understanding of grief as a companion, not a curse. Roianne revisits key moments of loss—her grandmother, granddad, cousin, father, brother, aunt, and a dear friend—each leaving its imprint in emotional boxes stored over time. She shares how these accumulations eventually overflowed, forcing her to confront the grief she'd been avoiding. There’s catharsis in tears shed on a kitchen floor, in the serendipity of favourite songs on shuffle, and in the anger that unexpectedly made space for healing. This episode is more than a memoir of mourning—it's a courageous invitation to sit with complexity. Roianne affirms that acknowledging grief is not weakness, but liberation. It’s the difference between surviving loss and learning from it, between repression and soulful release. For anyone carrying silent sorrow or avoiding pain, this episode offers resonance, relatability, and hope. Stay tuned as Roianne shares practices that helped her move toward grace, and begin her journey of truly getting to grief. ✨ Join our conversations, challenge your thinking, and take your reflections offline — journal, ponder, and practice. 📲 Follow us on Instagram @finishing_school_for_the_soul for episode highlights, soul food prompts, and a vibrant community of fellow seekers.
