
Muhammad Yasir Al-Hanafi
Yasir Al-Hanafi is a UK-based Islamic scholar, teacher, and community leader. He is known for making classical Islamic knowledge relevant and understandable. His main focus includes teaching Aqeedah, philosophy, and key Islamic sciences. He memorised the Qur’an and studied at the Islamic Institute of Dewsbury for ten years. After completing the Alimiyyah programme in 2011, he developed deep expertise in Tafsir, Hadith, Fiqh, Usul al-Fiqh, and theology. Following his Islamic studies, he pursued further education in philosophy and psychology. He earned a BA in Philosophy and Psychological Studies, then completed a Master’s degree in Philosophy at the University of Warwick. He is now working toward a PhD in Philosophical Theology at the University of Birmingham. In addition to academic work, Yasir Al-Hanafi serves as the full-time Imam at Masjid Toheed Ul Islam in Aylesbury, UK. He leads daily prayers, delivers sermons, and provides spiritual support to the community. Outside of this, he teaches at As-Suffa Institute and Al-Ihsan Institute. His classes focus on theology and Islamic belief. He also teaches courses at Al Balagh Academy. Subjects include Arabic, Qur’an memorisation, Hanafi Fiqh, Islamic history, and Islamic counselling. His ability to blend traditional knowledge with modern insight makes his teaching both practical and engaging. Online, Yasir Al-Hanafi reaches an even wider audience. He shares lectures, short videos, and podcast appearances. His content often focuses on self-development, mental health, parenting, and spiritual growth. He is praised for a teaching style that is clear, approachable, and thoughtful.
