Learn more at : Longstreet Cafe Get involved with FCA North Georgia: https://www.ngafca.org/ The Music That Made Country Great: https://www.mycountry993.com Jackson County head football coach Corey Moss joins the FCA North Georgia Coaches Show from Longstreet Cafe! Coach Mobbs sits down with Joel Williams and North Georgia FCA Director Clint Fair to talk about Jackson County's rise as a football program, the work behind last year's 11-2 season, and what it means to build on the program's first playoff wins in school history. Korey shares his philosophy of staying "on the hunt" instead of becoming comfortable with success, the importance of developing every player in the program, and why he focuses on building a program rather than simply building a season. With around 160 players in the ninth-through-12th-grade program, Moss explains how his staff works to prepare every athlete for his opportunity, whether he becomes a college football player or finishes his playing career in high school. The conversation also dives into Coach Mobbs' approach to coaching relationships. He discusses knowing his players beyond the football field, understanding what they may be dealing with away from school, and creating a coaching environment where players can be challenged while still knowing they are cared for. Mobbs also shares his "three C's" — character, class and commitment — and why putting others before yourself is such an important part of building a successful team. Family and faith are another major part of the conversation. Korey talks about his wife and children, balancing the demands of football with family life, making time for church, and the role FCA has played at Jackson County. He also discusses the impact of FCA staff members on his campus and the growth he has seen in his players and his own family through those relationships. Mobbs also looks ahead to the 2026 season, discussing Jackson County's region schedule, the Tigers' 1-0 start in region play, upcoming opponents and the challenge of continuing to improve as the season moves forward. Most importantly, Korey Mobbs explains why high school football should be about more than wins and losses. For the players who will continue playing beyond high school and the many who will not, he wants the experience to provide character, relationships and life lessons that stay with them long after their playing days are over. Bill also opens up about his decision to leave Rockmart after building a successful program and return closer to home. Beyond the Scoreboard: Heath Webb on Faith, Family & Football

FCA North Georgia Coaches Podcast, Recorded live at Longstreet Café, Riverside Terrace as a part of the My Country 99.3 WCON Podcast Family. Presented by Longstreet Cafe – fueling North Georgia (and a whole lot of FCA ministry) with two Gainesville locations. Learn more at : Longstreet Cafe Get involved with FCA North Georgia: https://www.ngafca.org/ The Music That Made Country Great: https://www.mycountry993.com Lumpkin County head football coach Heath Webb joins the FCA North Georgia Coaches Show from Longstreet Cafe! Coach Webb sits down with Josh Tanner, filling in for Joel Williams, and North Georgia FCA Director Clint Fair to talk about the Lumpkin County Indians' 3-0 start, the challenges of preparing for a big matchup with undefeated East Forsyth, and how an early-season off week helped his team recover and reset. The conversation also dives into the realities of coaching in the Georgia heat, practicing on turf, managing practice time and film study, and the challenges coaches face when Friday night game conditions can be very different from the heat policies that govern weekday practices. As Lumpkin County prepares to enter region play, Coach Webb discusses the competitiveness of the new region, the importance of staying focused on the present, and the team's motto for the season: "Win today." He also shares his thoughts on Georgia's power rankings system and the importance of making every game count, including non-region contests. Coach Webb opens up about his coaching staff and the impact of longtime coach Brian Allison, who joined the Lumpkin County staff this season before receiving a cancer diagnosis in July. Webb talks about Allison's influence as a coach, mentor and follower of Christ, and how his example has helped shape both veteran and younger coaches on the staff. The conversation turns personal as Coach Webb reflects on more than 20 years as a head coach, the demands that come with the position, and the possibility of one day stepping away from being a head coach to simply enjoy watching his son play. At the heart of the discussion is Webb's belief that coaching is about much more than wins and losses — it's about raising up good young men and making an impact that lasts beyond the football field. And before Coach Webb leaves, Josh puts him on the hot seat with a completely non-football question: What's on his playlist? The answer: Turnpike Troubadours and some gritty, old-school country music. Clint Fair also shares what's happening with FCA North Georgia, including upcoming Fields of Faith events, FCA Equestrian, golf tournaments and the 13th annual FCA East-West All-Star Football Game coming to Clark Central in December. Learn more at : Longstreet Cafe Get involved with FCA North Georgia: https://www.ngafca.org/ The Music That Made Country Great: https://www.mycountry993.com East Hall head football coach Matt Turner joins the FCA North Georgia Coaches Show from Longstreet Cafe! Coach Turner returns to the FCA North Georgia Coaches Show to talk about his journey back home to East Hall, where he grew up and attended high school, and what it's like coaching the Vikings in the same community that helped shape him. Turner breaks down the 2026 East Hall football team, including the challenge of replacing several key offensive players from last season, the emergence of sophomore quarterback Jody Dudley, and a unique roster featuring 18 seniors and a huge freshman class of 27 players. He also talks about the importance of developing young players and why having a strong group of freshman linemen could pay dividends for the program in the years ahead. The conversation also covers the Vikings' 1-2 start, the lessons learned against White County and Franklin County, and what's ahead as East Hall prepares for Oglethorpe County and a difficult stretch of games against North Hall, Monroe Area, Oconee County and East Jackson. Coach Turner shares his philosophy of developing players from middle school through varsity, building a strong connection with the Junior Vikings program, and creating a consistent identity throughout the East Hall football community. He also explains why he believes coaches should "fit the scheme to your kids" rather than forcing players into a particular system. Turner and the hosts dive into the changing nature of high school football, including player safety, practice length and the importance of doing less. Coach Turner explains why East Hall has moved from two-and-a-half-hour practices to less than 90 minutes and why morning practices have helped keep players physically and mentally fresh while giving them time for schoolwork, tutoring, appointments and life outside of football. The conversation also touches on instant replay in high school football, the challenges of bringing additional technology into the game, and the continuing evolution of offensive schemes. Turner explains why he enjoys playing nearby schools and believes local rivalries and community connections are an important part of high school football. Most importantly, Coach Turner talks about the role of faith and FCA in the East Hall program. He discusses the impact of FCA leaders and coaches who pour into student-athletes and why helping young men become better Christians, husbands and fathers is ultimately more important than any Friday night win. Plus, the show wraps up with a very important question: What is Coach Turner's favorite stadium food? The answer? Nachos.
