Meant For Montlake

Really good listen if you enjoy Husky hoops and want to get to know the players and coaches better. Love hearing the recruiting stories and all the connections that put together a roster. It’s not just NIL $, but relationships go a long ways still.

This one is a strong recommend. Huskies nailed it bringing Castricone in when Rondo retired. He and Jason Hamilton pair well together (big credit to JHam there, just since Tony and Rondo are so different; great but different style and so it must have been an adjustment for him). So it’s no surprise how well Tony has brought together all these stories. I can’t imagine the amount of work to weave the narrative he does, but it pays off to any Husky (or basketball, really) fan who listens. Give it a shot; it’s a fantastic podcast. Sprinkle seems a great fit, a solid coach, and a good guy. B10 is brutal, so it’s not-so-easy to just go win 20 games and make some noise in March, but he’s on the right track. Even the repeated ‘You Know’s from the coach, which is a really tough listen whenever his clips are played, don’t sound so bad once you get used to them.

Listening to these episodes is a great way to get to know this team, especially with the compelling stories you get to hear about these players and coaches. It’s made me an even bigger fan of this team than I was already going to be. I’m looking forward to the rest of the episodes being released! Go Dawgs!
