    This SmackDown Feels Like a PLE

    WWE has absolutely loaded up this week's SmackDown, and honestly, it feels more like a Premium Live Event than a weekly television show. With championship matches, King and Queen of the Ring semifinals, and major storylines heading toward Night of Champions, this could end up being one of the strongest SmackDown cards of the entire year. The biggest match on the card sees Cody Rhodes defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Gunther, but the real wildcard is Sami Zayn serving as the special guest referee. The tension between Cody and Sami has been building for weeks, and there is no telling whether Zayn will call this match right down the middle or become the deciding factor in the outcome.     SmackDown Kept Me Invested All Night!

    WWE SmackDown delivered this week! The show wasn't perfect, and there were definitely a few things I disagreed with, but overall this was one of those episodes that kept me invested from beginning to end. The King and Queen of the Ring tournaments continued, the Cody Rhodes and Sami Zayn situation got even more interesting, and WWE did a solid job building anticipation for Night of Champions. The standout for me was the Fatal 4-Way King of the Ring match featuring Jey Uso, LA Knight, Finn Balor, and Royce Keys. The match had plenty of chaos, big moments, and action throughout. Charlotte Flair also continued her march through the Queen of the Ring tournament, while the show's major storylines took another step forward heading into Night of Champions. Overall, this felt like a strong episode of SmackDown that got more right than wrong. Not every segment landed for me, but the pacing was good, the tournament matches mattered, and WWE gave fans plenty to talk about heading into next week.     CM Punk has been absent from WWE television, and that has led to a lot of speculation from fans and wrestling media. Some people are convinced he's unhappy, some think TKO asked him to take a pay cut, and others believe there are major backstage issues brewing. But when you look at the facts, there simply isn't any real evidence to support those claims. In this video, I break down why I don't buy the current CM Punk rumors. WWE has a history of taking top stars off television without much explanation. We've seen it happen with Randy Orton, Drew McIntyre, Joe Hendry, and plenty of others. Is it frustrating? Absolutely. Is it good booking? Not in my opinion. But bad creative decisions and poor communication don't automatically mean there's a major problem behind the scenes. We'll discuss why Punk's absence has sparked so much speculation, why WrestleMania rumors are being blown out of proportion, and why I believe fans are connecting dots that simply aren't there.
