    Weight loss and why you need to know your metabolic type

    Welcome back to season 2 of Hormones and Handstands with functional hormone nutritionist Pippa Campbell and beauty editor and yoga teacher Victoria Woodhall. We’re friends who met through work and are constantly picking each other’s brains for insights and tips and decided that this could potentially be really useful stuff for other women. To kick off 2026, week we discuss our beauty and wellness highlights of 2025, why knowing your metabolic type can help you lose weight ‘the old fashioned way’ (as opposed to weight loss jabs), menopausal reflux, should you put oestrogen on your face? yoga poses for weight loss (do they even exist?) and what an itchy bottom and smelly farts are telling you.  We’ve both changed our HRT recently. Permenopausal Pippa’s periods are less frequent, she’s feeing ‘flushy’ and has started taking progesterone.     It’s not you, it’s your oestrogen + midlife skincare 101

    Welcome to the first episode of Hormones and Handstands, a brand new podcast from functional hormone nutritionist and naturopath Pippa Campbell and beauty and wellness journalist and senior yoga teacher Victoria Woodhall. Every week, Pippa dives into a key female hormone, explaining its role, what happens when it becomes imbalanced and how to get to the root cause, so we can feel better. She explains how in her 20s she was felled by chronic PMS for years, and how it cleared up within months when she started seeing a functional practitioner.
