How Do We See Mature Disciples Develop?

IPC is committed to see followers of Jesus grow and mature. While the chief means for doing this is corporate worship, another means is shepherding. As our elders pay attention to the flock in our large and small groups as well as in one-on-one meetings, we expect God's grace to be at work transforming our characters, callings, cultures, and community.

    What Is a Mature Disciple?

The goal of our ministry at IPC is to assist in growing mature disciples. Maturity is marked by integrity to God's word, humility before God, and compassion like God's heart. These attributes grow in us as we follow after Jesus, committed to his word, will, and way.

Disciples are those who follow after Jesus, committed to his word, his will, and his way. Looking at Mark 1:14-20, 2:13-17, we discover four implications for what it is to be a disciple of Jesus.
