Seeking the Lost | Luke 15:1–10

Jesus said that a shepherd will leave the ninety-nine to pursue one lost sheep—and that heaven rejoices when one sinner repents. In “Seeking the Lost,” the opening message of our Prodigals series, Pastor Thomas Harding walks through Luke 15:1–10 and the parables of the lost sheep and lost coin. What does it mean to see people as spiritually lost? What responsibility do Christians have to pursue them? And how do repentance, the work of God, restoration, and rejoicing fit into the story of salvation? This message challenges us to see the people around us as God sees them, diligently share the gospel, trust the Holy Spirit to work, and celebrate when the lost are found. The Valley of the Shadow of Death | Psalm 23:4

What does it mean to walk through “the valley of the shadow of death” without fear? Continuing our study through Psalm 23, Pastor Thomas looks at Psalm 23:4 and the confidence believers can have when life becomes difficult. The Shepherd does not promise that His sheep will never enter the valley—but He promises to be with them through it. Learn how God’s presence brings comfort, how His rod pictures protection and correction, how His staff gives guidance, and how the difficulties God brings us through can eventually help us comfort others. “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me.” — Psalm 23:4 A message from Portland Gospel Church in Portland, Oregon.

    Suffer Well | Live Weird | 1 Peter 3:13–17

How should a Christian respond when doing the right thing leads to criticism, false accusations, or suffering? In this message from 1 Peter 3:13–17, Pastor Thomas explains what it means to “suffer well.” Rather than responding with fear or bitterness, Christians are called to trust God, worship through difficulty, maintain a clear conscience, stay humble, and remain ready to share the hope of the gospel. Our suffering does not have to be wasted. God can use the way we respond to hardship as a testimony that points others to Jesus.
