    एक टोपीवाला गावोगावी फिरून टोप्या विकत असे. कडक उन्हामुळे थकून तो एका झाडाखाली झोपला. माकडांनी त्याच्या रंगीबेरंगी टोप्या घेऊन डोक्यावर घातल्या. टोपीवाला घाबरला नाही; त्याने स्वतःची टोपी जमिनीवर फेकली. माकडांनीही नक्कल केली आणि टोपीवाल्याला टोप्या परत मिळाल्या. गोष्टीचे तात्पर्य – संकटाच्या वेळी घाबरून न जाता शांतपणे आणि हुशारीने विचार केल्यास समस्येचा मार्ग सापडतो. Once there was a cap seller who traveled from village to village. Tired from the heat, he rested under a big tree and fell asleep. Monkeys took his colorful caps and wore them on their heads. Instead of panicking, the cap seller threw his own cap on the ground. The monkeys copied him, and he safely got back all his caps. Moral of the story – Calm thinking and intelligence can help solve problems even in difficult situations.

    एके दिवशी हनुमानाने सीतामाईच्या कपाळावरील कुंकवाबद्दल कुतूहलाने विचारले. प्रेमळ हसत सीतामाईने सांगितले की ती पती श्रीरामांच्या दीर्घायुष्यासाठी कुंकू लावते. हे ऐकताच हनुमानाच्या मनात अपार भक्ती निर्माण झाली आणि श्रीराम अमर व्हावेत म्हणून त्याने संपूर्ण अंगावर शेंदूर लावला.श्रीराम आणि सीतामाईने याचे कारण विचारल्यावर हनुमान नम्रपणे म्हणाला की देवीसाठी थोडे कुंकू पुरेसे असते, पण सेवकाला आपल्या प्रभूसाठी अधिक लागते. त्याच्या या निष्कलंक भक्तीमुळे आजही हनुमानाची मूर्ती शेंदूराने मढवलेली दिसते. बोध : खरी भक्ती ही निस्वार्थ प्रेमाची असते, जिथे श्रद्धा तर्क आणि अहंकारापेक्षा मोठी असते. One day, Hanuman noticed the red vermilion mark on Mata Sita’s forehead and curiously asked her about its significance. With a gentle smile, Sita explained that she applies sindooras a prayer for the long life of her husband, Lord Rama. Hearing this, Hanuman’s heart filled with devotion, and he immediately applied vermilion all over his body to ensure Rama’s immortality. When Rama and Sita asked him why hehad done so, Hanuman humbly replied that while a small amount of sindoor is enough for a goddess, he, a humble servant, needed much more for his beloved Lord. Such was his pure love and devotion that even today Lord Hanuman isworshipped with his idol covered in vermilion.     एक जंगलात कासव, ससा,हरीण ,कावळा आणि उंदीर हे एकमेकांचे छान मित्र होते . ते नेहमी बरोबर असत. एकत्र खेळायचे ,खायचे प्यायचे आणि मजा करायचे. एक दिवस एक शिकारी त्या जंगलात आला आणि त्याने कासवाला पकडले. मग त्याच्या सर्व मित्रांनी मिळून युक्तीने आणि  धाडसाने कासवाला त्या शिकाऱ्याच्या तावडीतून सोडवले. In a forest, a tortoise, a rabbit, a deer, a crow, and a mouse were very good friends. They always stayed together. They played, ate, drank, and had fun as a group. One day,a hunter came into the forest and caught the tortoise.     प्रभु श्रीराम आणि त्यांची वानरसेना समुद्रावर पूल बांधत होती. मोठमोठे दगड आणि लाकडे उचलून सर्व वानरसेना मेहनत करत होती. एक छोटीशी खार हे सगळं पहात होती. मग तिनेही मदत करायचे ठरवले. खार वाळूत लोळून आपल्या अंगावरची रेती (छोटे खडे) मोठ्या दगडांवर टाकत होती. हे ती वारंवार करत होती. वानरांनी ते बघितले आणि त्यांनी तिची थट्टा केली. पण प्रभु श्रीरामांनी खारीचे हे प्रामाणिक प्रयत्न पाहिले. त्यांनी खारीला जवळ घेतले आणि प्रेमाने खारीच्या पाठीवर हात फिरवला. तेव्हापासून खारीच्या पाठीवर तीन रेषा (पट्टे )दिसू लागल्या. खारीने दाखवून दिलं की लहान प्रयत्नही मनापासून केले तर मोठं कार्य साधता येतं. When Lord Rama and his army were building a bridge of stones to reach Lanka, many strong monkeys (wanaraas) worked together. They carried big rocks and logs, placing them in the sea. A small squirrel saw this great work and wanted to help. Though it was tiny, the squirrel rolled in sand, carried a little dust (tiny stones) on its back, and shook it over the stones. It kept doing this again and again. The wanaraas laughed at the squirrel, but Lord Rama noticed. He gently stroked the squirrel’s back with his fingers and praised its effort. From that day, three lines appeared on the back of every squirrel as a blessing from Lord Shrirama.     एका जंगलात एक क्रूर सिंह रोज एका प्राण्याची शिकार करीत असे. सिंहाच्या भीतीने प्राणी दररोज एक प्राणी त्याला अर्पण करीत. एकदा सश्याची पाळी आली आणि त्याने उशिरा जाण्याचे ठरवले. सशाने सिंहाला सांगितले की, आणखी एक मोठा सिंह विहिरीत आहे. सिंहाने स्वतःचा प्रतिबिंब पाहून त्यावर झडप घातली आणि विहिरीत पडून मरण पावला. अश्या तऱ्हेने सश्याने चातुर्याने आणि धाडसाने जंगलातील सर्व प्राण्यांना सिंहापासून वाचवले. In a forest, there lived a cruel lion who hunted one animal every day. Out of fear, the animals decided to offer one animal to the lion daily as a sacrifice. One day, it was a rabbit’s turn, and he deliberately decided to go late. The rabbit told the lion that another, even bigger lion was inside a well. When the lion saw his own reflection in the water, he attacked it, fell into the well, and died. बोध: हुशारी आणि शहाणपण हे ताकदीपेक्षा मोठे असतात. संकटाला धीराने सामोरे गेले, तर तोडगा नक्की निघतो. चातुर्य आणि शहाणपण बलापेक्षा मोठं असतं. Moral: Wisdom is stronger than brute strength. With patience and clever thinking, even the biggest problems can be solved.     एकदा एका बगळ्याला म्हातारपणामुळे मासे पकडणे जमत नव्हते. त्याने माशांना खोटं सांगितलं की हा तलाव लवकरच भरला जाईल आणि दुसऱ्या तलावात नेतो म्हणाला. तो त्यांना नेऊन खाऊ लागला, पण हुशार खेकड्याने त्याची फसवणूक ओळखली. खेकड्याने बगळ्याला मारून सर्वांना वाचवले. बोध: संकटात हुशारी आणि तत्पर विचार मोठ्या फसवणुकीवरही मात करू शकतात. ओळख नसलेल्या माणसावर लगेच विश्वास ठेवू नका, नेहमी विचार करा. हुशारीने वागल्यास संकटातून बचाव होतो. Once there was a stork who grew old and could no longer catch fish. He tricked the fish by saying the tank would soon be filled and offered to carry them to another pond. But instead, he ate them one by one until a clever crab discovered the truth. The crab killed the stork and saved all the creatures from his deceit. Moral: Clever thinking and presence of mind can defeat even the strongest deceiver. Never trust lies blindly, always think smart.     कोल्ह्याने करकोच्याला जेवायला बोलावलं आणि खीर सपाट बशीत म्हणजेच ताटलीत वाढली, ज्यामुळे करकोच्याला खाता आलं नाही. करकोचा उपाशीपोटी परत गेला पण त्याने ठरवलं की कोल्ह्याला धडा शिकवायचा. नंतर करकोच्याने कोल्ह्याला घरी बोलावलं आणि खीर उंच, बारीक तोंडाच्या भांड्यात वाढली. करकोचा सहज खीर खाऊ शकला, पण कोल्ह्याचं डोकं भांड्यात अडकून तो उपाशी राहिला.  बोध:  इतरांना फसवले तर शेवटी आपलंच नुकसान होतं. म्हणून नेहमी प्रामाणिक आणि चांगल्या मनाने वागावं.  दुसऱ्याला फसवलं किंवा कमी लेखलं तर त्याचाच फटका शेवटी आपल्यालाच बसतो. The fox invited the stork for dinner and served kheer in a flat plate, which the stork could not eat. The stork went home hungry but decided to teach the fox a lesson. Later, he invited the fox for dinner and served the kheer in a tall pot with a narrow mouth. The stork enjoyed the kheer with his long beak, while the fox could not eat and got stuck in the pot. Moral: If you trick others, it will harm you in the end.
