Season 3 EP8: Your Social Media Is Your Resume

Your social media is your resume. Whether you realize it or not, people are watching how you show up online, and the way you brand yourself can open doors you didn't even know were available. In this episode of The Girl Boss Brand Podcast, I'm talking about what it really means to build a personal brand, why consistency matters, and how the way you show up online can impact the opportunities, clients, partnerships, and connections that come your way.I share how I went from simply posting about my nonprofit and becoming known as "the girl from Facebook" to building a consulting business, landing opportunities, and creating multiple brands from the work I was already doing. We also talk about why your social media presence matters, how to separate your personal life from your business brand, why you don't need an expensive branding budget, and how to make sure your website, content, social media, and overall presence actually represent what you want people to see.I'm also preparing for a major entrepreneur festival and sharing how I'm thinking strategically about networking, partnerships, sponsorships, content, and how I want to show up in that room.In this episode, we talk about:• Why your social media is your new resume• How I built a brand without a marketing budget• Why your personal brand can open unexpected doors• The difference between branding and simply posting online• Why you need to be intentional about what you share• How your online presence can impact business opportunities• Why branding is more than logos, merch, and pretty websites• How to make your brand feel like something people want to be part of• Preparing strategically for networking and business events• Why consistency matters when you're building a business• Auditing your website and social media presence• My 90-day lock-in challenge and the goal of reaching 1,000 YouTube subscribersIf you're building a business, personal brand, career, or online presence, take a look at how you're showing up. Your brand is already being built. The question is whether you're building it intentionally.💬 QUESTION OF THE WEEK:How are you showing up online, and what are you locking in on for the next 90 days?Drop your Instagram or website in the comments. Season 3 EP7: Get Out of Your Own Way

Sometimes the blessing is already there. You just have to stop getting in your own way.In this episode of The Girl Boss Brand Podcast, I'm talking about blocking your own blessings, protecting your energy, entrepreneurship, relationships, mindset, mental health, and knowing when it's time to stop explaining yourself to people who simply don't get it.I'm sharing what I've been learning in real time about being more intentional about who I share my wins, plans, and business moves with. Not everyone is meant to go on the journey with you, and sometimes the people closest to you aren't the people who can give you the advice or support you need.I also talk about the loneliness that can come with entrepreneurship, why having the right community matters, and why I believe women entrepreneurs need a space where they can share their wins, losses, challenges, and everything in between without having to explain what entrepreneurship feels like.We also talk about:• Why sometimes the blessing is just for you• Getting out of your own way and protecting your energy• Why you don't have to share every win or business move• Being intentional about who you take advice from• Why everyone isn't going to understand the entrepreneur lifestyle• Knowing when you've outgrown certain relationships and environments• Entrepreneurship, mental health, and the pressure of building a business• Why your community matters when you're building something different• Being mindful of what you're consuming every day• Doom scrolling and how you're spending your time• Why entrepreneurship requires a different mindset• How I've become more intentional with my mornings and my time• The importance of getting back to what actually works• My 90-day lock-in challenge for the rest of 2026• Getting our businesses together before 2027• The Girl Boss Brand Community I'm building for women entrepreneursI'm also sharing what I've been doing differently over the past few weeks, including protecting my mornings, spending less time talking to people who aren't aligned with where I'm going, and being more intentional about where my energy goes.Because sometimes getting out of your own way means creating distance from the things that keep distracting you.And sometimes it means realizing that not everyone needs access to your plans, your business, your wins, or your next move.I'm learning that I don't need everyone to understand what I'm building. I need to stay focused, protect my energy, surround myself with people who get it, and keep doing the work. And now I'm challenging myself to a 90-day lock-in for the rest of 2026. No waiting until January. No putting things off until next year. We're starting now.If you're building a business, working toward a goal, feeling distracted by the people around you, or realizing that it's time to get serious about where you're spending your time and energy, this episode is for you.💬 Question of the Week:What are you locking in on for the next 90 days?Share it in the comments and let's hold each other accountable.🎙️ Subscribe to The Girl Boss Brand Podcast for weekly conversations about entrepreneurship, mindset, personal growth, intentional living, wellness, relationships, and becoming the best version of yourself.📲 Instagram:  / satarabrown  🌐 Learn more about SB Consulting:https://www.thesbconsulting.com💌 Join the Girl Boss Community Waitlist:https://mailchi.mp/dc58f791c49c/girlb...#Entrepreneurship #WomenInBusiness #BusinessMindset #PersonalGrowth #WomenEntrepreneurs #EntrepreneurMindset #MentalHealth #GirlBossBrand #90DayChallenge #BusinessMotivation

Season 3 EP6: I Had to Get Back to the Basics

Sometimes you don't need to build something new. You need to get back to what was already working. In this episode of The Girl Boss Brand Podcast, I'm talking about getting back to the basics, entrepreneurship, alignment, purpose, betting on yourself, and recognizing when it's time to change direction.I've been reflecting on my entrepreneurial journey and how Girl Boss Brand came to life. I started my entrepreneurship journey through my nonprofit, eventually launched my consulting business, and during COVID helped start over 50 brands for women. That's when the Girl Boss Brand movement was born.I also share how I made $50,000 from Girl Boss Brand merch while working full-time, running my nonprofit and consulting business, and getting my master's degree. But somewhere along the way, I got away from what I originally wanted to build. We also talk about:• How Girl Boss Brand started through merch• Making $50K from a part-time business• Why I put Girl Boss Brand on the back burner• Spending thousands of dollars trying to get my merch right• Getting back to the basics and returning to what was already working• Recognizing when you're out of alignment in business and in life• Learning to stop forcing things that aren't meant for you• Why you have to bet on yourself and build your own future• Losing clients and realizing that everyone is not your client• The importance of regularly auditing where you're spending your time and energy• Trusting God when you're being called to move in a different direction• The $100K goal I'm setting for Girl Boss Brand• The new Girl Boss community I'm building for women entrepreneursI also open up about what it has felt like to lose clients, chase things that I thought were going to bring me freedom, and realize that some of the things I was pursuing simply weren't aligned with where I was supposed to be.Sometimes we're so focused on what's next that we forget what was already working.Sometimes we're so determined to make something happen that we don't stop to ask if it's actually what we're supposed to be doing. And sometimes getting back to the basics is exactly what we need.I'm learning that what's for me doesn't have to be forced. I can trust God, stay disciplined, pay attention to where I'm being led, and keep building from there. If you're feeling stuck in your business, questioning your direction, chasing something that doesn't feel right, or wondering if it's time to get back to what you originally started, this episode is for you.💬 Question of the Week:What is one thing you need to get back to?Share it in the comments and let's talk about it.🎙️ Subscribe to The Girl Boss Brand Podcast for weekly conversations about entrepreneurship, mindset, personal growth, intentional living, wellness, relationships, and becoming the best version of yourself.📲 Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/satarabrown🌐 Learn more about SB Consulting:https://www.thesbconsulting.com💌 Join the Girl Boss Community Waitlist:https://mailchi.mp/dc58f791c49c/girlbossbrandpodcast#Entrepreneurship #WomenInBusiness #BusinessMindset #GettingBackToBasics #PersonalGrowth #FindingYourPurpose #WomenEntrepreneurs #Mindset #SelfImprovement #GirlBossBrand

    Season 3 EP2: I Built a Nonprofit With No Money... Here's What I Learned

I started a nonprofit because I wanted to give back to my community. What I didn't realize was that building a nonprofit also meant learning how to run a business. In this episode of The Girl Boss Brand Podcast, I'm taking you behind the scenes of my nonprofit journey—from starting a back-to-school giveaway with my own money to building programs, running a summer camp, managing staff, navigating funding, and learning some hard lessons about sustainability.I didn't understand at first that nonprofits have expenses too.
