    Save You a Seat 🤍 Some grief doesn't show up at funerals. Sometimes it shows up years later, when life gets beautiful. In this episode of Crowned with Grace, I’m talking about the people I’ve lost, the milestones they never got to see, and the empty seats I know I’ll notice on one of the happiest days of my life. I’m sharing what it feels like to have lost four of the people I imagined would be there for my wedding, while the man I’m marrying still has all six of his grandparents. I talk about the jealousy that comes with that, the guilt that follows it, and the realization that being happy for someone else doesn’t mean you don't still ache for what you lost. I talk about losing my grandpa at ten and slowly forgetting what his voice sounded like. Losing my grandma four days after Christmas at seventeen. Losing my Aunt Karen, my best friend, less than a month later. Losing my paternal grandma in 2020. And realizing that they didn't just miss the moments I’ve already lived—they're going to miss the ones that haven't happened yet. This episode is about grief, faith, jealousy, memory, and the strange way joy and heartbreak can exist in the same room. Inspired by Alex Warren's “Save You a Seat” and “Eternity,” and grounded in the hope that Jesus gives us—that death does not get the final word. Because sometimes faith doesn't mean we stop missing them. Sometimes faith means we miss them deeply while still believing we'll see them again. Until eternity… I'll save you a seat. 🤍

Together, we’ll wrestle with the hard question of “why?” and remember that what the enemy meant for evil, God is using for good. I share how Charlie’s words — “If you eliminate me, others will rise with louder voices” — are being fulfilled as thousands come to Christ in the wake of his passing. We’ll talk about marches held in South Korea, England, and Italy, proof that Charlie’s impact reached far beyond America. I also open up about what God has been pressing on my own heart: to never be silent again about my beliefs, my faith, or what I know is right versus wrong.
