When I Googled a civilisation from Age of Empires that I'd never heard of, I fell down a rabbit hole of rich niche history and realised that other people may find this interesting too. That was the seed that became this show. The Real Age of Empires takes the units, buildings, technologies and abilities you see throughout the games and digs into their backstory, tracing where the inspiration for their design came from.
