    Scarcity and Struggle Mindsets

It's indoctrinated into us through society, through our families and workplaces that how we approach things has to be on the most difficult mode possible. The thing is, what we don't realise, as an individual, community or even as a species, is that we do have a choice to check out of this mindset. Perhaps, it's not possible to check out of this mindset in every aspect of our lives, but in our own internal worlds, especially in relation to our creativity, we can definitely choose the level of difficulty we want to approach it with.  We also, unfortunately as a species, have a real scarcity mindset, and this can turn even the nicest person into a mean little bitch.  Today, we are not only discussing the choice we have in how we want to approach our creative work, but also how scarcity and success loop into each other and can define the type of successful person we're going to be.     Middle Swamp

Every story has a beginning, middle and end, and while some might say they struggle with writing every part of a story (which is fair enough - stories are bloody hard to write) a lot of people often pick the middle part as the most difficult to write.     Strength and Weaknesses in Writing

However, this isn't a conversation we have a lot amongst creators. Perhaps it's because the majority of creators are so riddled with self-doubt, we don't even think it's possible to have any strengths in our creativity; but that in itself is worth addressing.     Atmospheric Writing

    Seeds of Fiction

    Monoculture

If we stick to consuming art we’re familiar with, we’ll never know what could be and grow as creators.  As consumers, it is totally fine to find what you love and stick with it, but as creators we have to be willing to dip our toes into other waters.
