We will then enter into a conversation with Professor Nusseibeh on the respective section and beyond. Episode 6: The School Yard | ساحة المدرسة

Share your thoughts with us | شارِكنا أفكارك The School Yard In the previous episodes, we talked about three pillars of the philosophical approach: 1) awareness, 2) cognitive flexibility, and 3) good character. In episode six, we will try to apply these pillars to the world of education. We will listen to a passage from the book titled “The Schoolyard,” which gives us a short real-life example showing how the absence of these philosophical pillars—especially good character—can create real problems. It shows us how education is not just the transfer of information; it is also about forming ways of thinking, ethics, and flexibility. After that, I will move into a conversation with Professor Sari Nusseibeh about two famous thinkers in the field of education whose ideas have had a significant influence on modern and contemporary educational thought. Drawing on Sufi thought, ancient greek philoshopy, and a medieval Islamic debate on language and logic, it examines how ideals, meanings, and reality diverge.
