    Ep 63 - Flying Cars, Zach Bryan & Mediums: What Does the Bible REALLY Say?

Mike and I are back, and this week we're going from laughing about flying cars to some pretty serious conversations about faith, Scripture, and the things Christians need to stop ignoring. And yes, Mike has some thoughts about Zach Bryan. 👀 🚗 FLYING CARS ARE HERE?! Mike thinks they're incredible. Me? Absolutely not. Between flying cars, spilled coffee, and Mike's obsession with Facebook Marketplace, we're already off to a messy start. 🎤 ZACH BRYAN & THE "FREE PALESTINE" SHIRT We've always loved Zach Bryan's music, but after he wore a "Free Palestine" shirt at a concert, Mike wasn't exactly thrilled. We discuss our different reactions, why Mike feels the way he does, and whether we can separate an artist's music from their personal views. 🔮 MEDIUMS, PSYCHICS & WHAT GOD ACTUALLY SAYS This one is personal for me. Before growing in my relationship with Jesus, I had crystals, consulted mediums, and participated in things I now understand differently because of Scripture. We're talking about why Christians should take God's warnings seriously, what happened when King Saul consulted a medium, and why just because something is popular doesn't mean it's biblical. And yes, I even tell the story about the time a medium supposedly communicated with my BUNNY. You can't make this stuff up. 😂 📖 STOP TAKING SCRIPTURE OUT OF CONTEXT! "God won't give you more than you can handle." "Do not judge." We've all heard these sayings, but is that actually what the Bible teaches? Mike and I break down commonly misunderstood Bible passages and even play a little game of Bible verse or Hallmark card? Let's see how well Mike really knows his Scripture! ❤️ FAITH, SALVATION & ETERNITY We also have an honest conversation about baptism, salvation, heaven, and what it means to truly have a relationship with Jesus. So what does it actually mean to deny yourself, pick up your cross daily, and follow Him? And could there be a bigger purpose behind someone surviving something they weren’t expected to survive? This week on Messy But Motivated,  Mike and I are talking about the woman who survived an execution attempt and it leads us into a conversation about God’s sovereignty, the death penalty, justice, mercy, and what WE actually think about execution. And somehow… it gets funny. 😂 But because this is Messy But Motivated, we obviously don’t stay on one subject.     Ep 56 - Faith, Friendship & Building a Stronger Soul

    Send us Fan Mail This episode is extra special because I’m sitting down with my pastor, mentor, coach, and friend, Jason Miller, lead pastor at Zion in Clear Lake, Iowa. Jason and his wife have become a huge part of Mike and my journey since we found the Lord, and I’m so grateful for the friendship, guidance, and wisdom they’ve brought into our lives. We cover A LOT in this conversation — from Islam and what Christians need to understand, to faith, leadership, burnout, and why if you feel like you need to give something up because you’re overwhelmed, the church shouldn’t be the first thing you walk away from. We also talk about a new project we’re working on called “Soul Gym.” The idea is simple: just like we train our bodies, we need to intentionally train our souls. We’re creating practical, daily practices that you can work into your everyday life to help strengthen you spiritually, mentally, and personally — with the hope of building a healthier future generation along the way. And yes… there’s a funny story behind this episode. 😂 This is actually our SECOND recording. The first time around, Jason’s microphone wasn’t on. 🤦‍♀️😂 But honestly, that conversation had SO much good information that we’re going to release it as a bonus episode, so you’ll get even more from our conversation.
