Episode Overview What’s haunting your home? And are you haunting it, too? No, we're not talking about ghosts of people who've passed on. We're talking about the ghosts of who you used to be, who others thought you should be, and who society says you're supposed to be. The generational stories about how we're supposed to live, passed down from generation to generation, often without us even realizing we're living them out. We're talking about the stuff that surrounds us, the clutter that haunts us, the things we keep putting off, and those moments when we walk into a room and completely forget what we came in for. Are you a ghost? Or are you a zombie, shuffling through your home in a fog? And what about the experiences you've had in your home, growing up or even more recently, that might still be affecting how you live today? In this episode of the Fizome™ Your Home podcast, I explore the many ways our homes can haunt us, and how we can start to change that. We'll look at: What's haunting your home, and what might be hiding beneath the visible mess. The relationship between our homes and our inner lives. Clutter, overwhelm, procrastination, and the patterns that can keep us stuck. Why conventional organizing advice doesn't work for everyone. Neurodivergence, ADHD, and finding approaches that work with your brain. The connection between our physical surroundings, emotions, and energy. Midlife, change, and the process of becoming someone new. Energy clearing and the possibility of seeing our spaces differently. Why shame and self-criticism rarely help us create lasting change. The mess and the magic of being a real human living a real life. Moving beyond perfection and creating a home that supports you. How Fizome approaches home as a relationship, creative medium, and tool for transformation. What Is Fizome™? Fizome™ (pronounced FIZZ-ohm, with a silent E) is a personal, intuitive approach to creating a home that supports who you are, how you function, and who you're becoming. It brings together the physical, emotional, mental, creative, and energetic aspects of home. Rather than following rigid rules or trying to make your home look like somebody else's idea of perfection, Fizome explores the relationship between you and the space you inhabit. Your home can be a haven, a creative medium, a place of healing, a support system, and a tool for transformation. HOME = Haven Of My Enlightenment. Fizome is about creating a home that works with you, supports your real life, and gives something back to you. Not another thing to manage. An ally in becoming. About Kristy Iris Kristy Iris is the creator of Fizome™, a transformation designer who brings together creativity, home, personal growth, and the art of making life more supportive and meaningful. With an MFA in Design for Stage & Screen from NYU Tisch, Kristy has spent her life exploring how environments shape experiences. Her background in costume, set, and lighting design informs the way she sees home: as a creative medium, a setting for our lives, and a space that can support the person we're becoming. Kristy created Fizome because conventional approaches to home weren't addressing the whole picture for her. She wanted something that made room for the way different brains work, the stories we carry, our individual needs, and the relationship between our inner and outer worlds. Today, she works with conscious, creative, neurodivergent souls who want their homes to feel better, function better, and support the lives they're creating. Her approach brings together practical solutions and imagination, grounded wisdom and a little magic. Because transforming your home doesn't have to mean transforming into somebody else. Content Warning This episode includes a general discussion of trauma and difficult experiences in the home, including childhood experiences, and the ways these experiences can affect our relationship with how we create home now and in the future. Please take care of yourself as you listen. 💛 This isn't about creating a perfect home or trying to fit into somebody else's idea of how you should live. It's about claiming your space, centering yourself, and creating a home that supports you, your brain, your needs, and the life you want to live. And the really exciting part? This isn't about sitting in the haunted house. It's about exercising your demons and making room for what's possible. Come explore the mess and the magic with me. What’s Next?
