I've been a full-time YouTuber since 2017 and launched this personal channel (Lightbearer's Library) in 2025, where I'm making video versions of my journal entries. Some of my favourite topics to talk about are practical philosophy, positive psychology, and personalty type (I'm an INFP). But honestly, my journals contain counter-cultural thoughts about everything, so expect the unexpected! I also share practical ways I'm improving my mental health, with the hope that you might find them useful too. 1. Finding stillness in a shifting world (INFP/HSP)

Finding stillness in a shifting world (INFP/HSP)

Discover how to anchor your sensitive soul through internal goals and a clear future vision to escape the disorienting "shifting sand" of today’s world. Hello dear soul and welcome back to the Lightbearer's Library. If you feel discombobulated by the rapid pace of change in technology and politics, you are not alone. In this journal entry, I explore how we can find stability by shifting our focus from external chaos to what is truly within our control. So instead of setting “outer goals” that require relative stability, we set "inner goals". This could look like mastering emotional equanimity or creative goals like writing. For INFPs and HSPs, having a clear vision for the future is vital. It helps us to pull our minds back from anxiety and stay focused on a purposeful path. We can plant seeds for a future that feels stable and bright inside, no matter what is happening outside. ✨ What is one internal goal or vision you are currently aiming at? I’d love to hear from you! Your mind is a playlist. Overwrite the self-doubt tracks (INFP/INFJ)

Have you noticed your mind has negative tracks it likes to play over and over again? It’s time to overcome self-doubt and anxiety by treating our minds like an old-school mixtape or a modern playlist. Then we can consciously overwrite those negative thoughts with new, empowering songs! Hello dear soul, and welcome back to the Lightbearer's Library. If, like me, you’ve been caught in a loop of “I’m not enough” or “I’m not ready,” you are likely playing an old, scratchy mental mixtape of inherited lies. As INFPs or INFJs, these subtle background stories can trigger deep anxiety and make us feel small and uncertain. In this journal entry, I explore how to reclaim our agency and realize that we deserve better stories. We can use journaling to identify these "s****y tracks," and begin the process of replacing them with more meaningful narratives. I share my own journey with self-doubt as a creator and how your lovely comments keep me grounded in my purpose. Whether you are an introvert struggling with visibility or a creative facing a block, it’s time to be brave and record a new song of self-trust. ✨ I would love to hear from you! 3. Our inner idealist causes suffering (INFP/INFJ)

    5D AGO

Our inner idealist causes suffering (INFP/INFJ)

Our beautiful idealist nature, as an INFP (or INFJ) soul, can actually be the source of our deepest suffering. Hello dear soul, and welcome to the Lightbearer's Library. As sensitive souls, we experience pain (loss, rejection, exhaustion) deeply. However, the intense emotional burden we feel comes not from the pain itself, but from our internal resistance to reality—the clash with our ideals. We idealists often fight against “what is,” which only serves to multiply our discomfort. This journal entry breaks down the simple equation Pain x Resistance = Suffering, showing you exactly where your control lies. We can't control the painful events, but we can learn the practice of acceptance to reduce the resistance variable. When we bravely choose not to let the negative thoughts spiral downwards, we start to master our inner world. And in this way we can hopefully spiral upwards towards more peace, happiness, and health!  ✨ If, like me, you felt like this equation was a mini revelation, let me know in the comments! Life force protection for sensitive souls (INFP/HSP)

Hello, dear soul, are you Feeling Drained? You’re not alone. For highly sensitive people (HSPs) and INFPs, emotional overwhelm is a severe drain on our life force. But what if one simple, mindful practice could stop the downward spiral before it even begins? In this journal entry, I share the how an insignificant incident (involving a washing machine!) triggered an intense meltdown that depleted my energy and took me two days to recover from. I realized that my feeling drained is directly tied to a lack of thought management. The practice I’m implementing to protect my life force is all about mindfulness: being able to catch the anxious, negative thoughts before they turn into a full spiral. We don’t have to get pulled under. Instead, we can choose peacefulness and reframe stressful moments as opportunities for growth.  ✨ Protecting your life force is possible. The problem of politeness for empaths (INFP/INFJ)

Being an empath is a gift, but sometimes being too polite can make it genuinely harder to set the boundaries we need. This journal entry explores why empaths, like INFPs and INFJs, may find it challenging to set boundaries. Dear soul, do you struggle with feeling deeply sensitive, seeing every perspective, and giving everyone an "out" before protecting yourself? I share a recent situation with noise disrupting our living, working, and sleeping. It’s challenging my British INFJ husband and I to figure out how to set up boundaries with our landlord. I explore the cultural differences in politeness and directness, and discuss how being "too polite" can sometimes lead to overextending ourselves or being taken advantage of. Discover the gentle yet powerful first step to setting an effective boundary. If you’re also navigating setting up boundaries, I hope this journal entry helps you to feel not so alone! ✨ I would love to hear from you! Calm yourself, calm the world (HSP/INFP)

If you’re feeling the collective stress and emotional reactivity of the world right now, know this: you are not alone, dear soul, and you have the power to create inner calm. I've been feeling a lot of tense energy lately. I was reminded today that not all the overwhelm we feel is ours. The intense energy of those around us affects sensitive souls (empath and HSP). In this journal entry, I share why it's so important to recognize that we're all connected and how our energetic stability impacts the world. We need to be aware of our own emotions and energy to catch reactivity before it bubbles over into unintended words or actions. Take a time out to find that peace and calm space within you. Physically overstimulated? Do this first. (HSP/INFP)

Are you a highly sensitive person (HSP) or INFP feeling the intensity of too much input? This journal entry reveals the simple first step to stop the overstimulation and find calm. Dear sensitive soul, overstimulation is that feeling when layer upon layer of different stressors pile up. From relentless noise and frantic energy, to major life concerns like moving and a looming to-do list. When our physical bodies are tense, and our mind is racing, it's easy to get caught in the cycle of overwhelm and forget that our physical well-being comes first. Our tendency can be to push through, but we can't be productive when our nervous systems are all over the place. So the solution starts with calming down our physical bodies by focusing on our breathing, drinking a glass of water, taking a nap or even going pee! Then from this grounded state we can recenter ourselves and take the rest of the day one moment at a time. ✨ In the comments below, please share one simple thing you do first when you realize you are starting to feel overstimulated.
