Greetings fellow cogs in the wheel. Many of us grew up with the mantra “find a job you love, and you will never work a day in your life". In reality the experience is often more like "It's not called fun, it's called work." This show is concerned with the realities of the things we do to make money. By exploring a variety of topics, interviewing people who do everyday jobs and probing them about what they love and don’t love about employment, it is hoped that this podcast will make your work-life easier, and support you to survive your remaining years of wage-slave existence.

    Episode 2 - What does your job ACTUALLY cost you?

    Episode 2 asks us to consider what our jobs actually cost us. Our host is joined by a friend, Bianca B, who works in the aged care industry. The structure is rather informal as the 'interview' takes place in a café, but the advice given may prove invaluable. The discussion centres around how much a pay rise will actually put in your pocket as well as ways to save money by salary sacrificing and taking advantage of ye olde tax breaks.
