    今回のゲストは、鳴門教育大学で国際交流アドバイザー・嘱託講師・非常勤研究員としてご活躍されている童安佚先生です。台湾出身の童先生は、大学卒業後に日本へ移住。中国語・日本語・英語を自在に操り、日本語能力試験1級も取得されています。筑波大学大学院ではスポーツ科学を専攻され、現在もスポーツは人生の大切な軸の一つ。そして今もなお、授業を聴講し、研究を続け、「どの授業からも学ぶものがある」という姿勢で学び続けています。「学ぶことに終わりはない。」そんな言葉を体現する童先生のお話から、学び続けることの楽しさや、異文化の中で挑戦し続ける姿勢について、たくさんの気づきをいただきました。ぜひお聴きください！Episode 17: Featuring Ani Tung sensei (Naruto University of Education)In this episode, I had the pleasure of speaking with Ani Tung sensei, who currently serves as an International Exchange Advisor, Lecturer, and Researcher at Naruto University of Education.Originally from Taiwan, Tung sensei moved to Japan after graduating from university. She is fluent in Mandarin, Japanese, and English, and has also earned the highest level of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT N1).She studied Sport Sciences at the University of Tsukuba, and sports continue to play an important role in her life today.What impressed me most was her commitment to lifelong learning. He has also served as a Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteer in the Dominican Republic and Zambia.     第14回 白鳥千絵さん(イタリアのビオダンサファシリテーター)今回のゲストは、現在イタリアで“生命のダンス”とも呼ばれるビオダンサのファシリテーターとして活動されている白鳥さんです。大学卒業後、憧れのイタリアへ渡り、語学学校や声楽の個人レッスンに通う日々。その後一度帰国し、小学校で音楽専科として勤務されましたが、再びイタリアへ。語学をさらに磨き、修士号を取得し、現地の小学校で働くなど、イタリアへの想いを胸に挑戦を重ねてこられました。現在はビオダンサのファシリテーターとしてクラスを開催し、多くの方にその魅力を届けていらっしゃいます。これからは日本とイタリアの両方で、より多くの方にビオダンサを体験してもらいたいと、目を輝かせながら語ってくださいました。1時間を通して伝わってきたのは、イタリアへの深い愛、そしてビオダンサへの真摯な想い。失敗を恐れず、一人でイタリアへ渡り、自分の道を切り拓いていく姿に心から感動しました。Episode 14: Ms. Shirotori (Biodanza Facilitator in Italy)In this episode, we welcomed Ms. Shirotori, who is currently working in Italy as a facilitator of Biodanza, often described as the “dance of life.”After graduating from university, she moved to Italy to pursue her dream, attending language school and taking private voice lessons. She later returned to Japan and worked as an elementary school music teacher, but her passion for Italy led her back once again. She continued to refine her language skills, earned a master’s degree, and worked at a local elementary school in Italy, steadily building her path forward.Today, she leads Biodanza classes and shares its beauty with many people. She spoke with shining eyes about her hope to expand Biodanza in both Japan and Italy so that more people can experience it firsthand.Throughout the hour, her deep love for Italy and her sincere dedication to Biodanza were truly inspiring.     第13回 モザンビークJICA海外協力隊員(短期派遣・長期派遣)/The 13th JICA Overseas Cooperation Volunteers in Mozambique (Short-term and Long-term Dispatch)

    今回は、鳴門教育大学とJICAモザンビーク事務所の連携協定の下で派遣され、モザンビークで活動されているボランティア隊員の皆さんにお話を伺いました。短期派遣の3名、長期派遣の1名にご参加いただき、それぞれの現地での経験をシェアしていただきました。モザンビークに行ってみての率直な感想や、小学校・教員養成校での活動の1日の流れ、言語の壁、そして現地での暮らしについて、さまざまなお話を伺っています。現地だからこそ見える景色、感じる思いをたくさん伺うことができました。今回は日下もモザンビークからご参加し、途中接続が不安定になる場面もありましたが、それも含めて“今のモザンビーク”を感じられる1時間となりました。それぞれが明確な夢や目標を持ち、その実現に向かって前向きに取り組んでいる姿がとても印象的でした。ぜひお聴きください！This time, we had the opportunity to interview JICA volunteer members who have been dispatched to Mozambique under the partnership agreement between Naruto University of Education and the JICA Mozambique Office, and who are currently engaged in activities there.Three on short-term assignments and one on a long-term assignment.They shared their impressions of living in Mozambique, their daily routines at primary schools and teacher training colleges, the challenges of language barriers, and what everyday life looks like on the ground.Kusaka also joined us directly from Mozambique.     第12回 米国ユタ州スタディツアーに参加して-教育と文化をめぐる5日間-

    今回は、鳴門教育大学の日下智志准教授、日本で高校の英語教師を務める内住祐介さんとともに、5日間にわたるユタ州スタディツアーを実施しました。 平日3日間は、大学訪問や附属小学校の視察、地域のアートセンター訪問に加え、図書館や大学にて日本の数学教育に関する講演を行いました。また、大学では節分ワークショップも開催し、教育と文化の両面から日本の魅力を発信する充実した日程となりました。 週末は、アーチーズ国立公園およびキャニオンランズ国立公園を訪問し、雄大な自然に圧倒される体験も得ました。 今回のポッドキャストでは、学校における「教室」という概念の違い、日本と米国の教員文化の比較、そして両国をつなぐ架け橋となる可能性等々について幅広く語っています。また、大学の規模感や教育環境の違いにも触れ、ローカルな米国を感じられる回になったかと思います。 たとえば附属小学校では、1つのクラスに複数の教員が配置され、それぞれが明確な役割を担っていました。授業準備の時間もあらかじめスケジュールに組み込まれており、過度な残業に頼らずに、のびのびと教育に向き合える環境が整っている点が印象的でした。 日本と米国の違い、そして共通点。実際に現地を訪れたからこそ見えてきた気づきや学びをお伝えしています。 私たちが感じた多くの学びや感動を言葉にすることの難しさを実感するとともに、ぜひ実際にこの地を訪れ、体感していただきたいとも感じました。（今年の秋には新たなスタディツアー募集があるかもしれません！） ぜひポッドキャストをお聴きください。 In this episode, we share our experiences from a five-day study tour in Utah, USA, together with Dr. Satoshi Kusaka, an associate professor from Naruto university of education and Mr. Yusuke Uchizumi, a high school English teacher from Japan. During the three weekdays, we visited universities, a university-affiliated elementary school, and a local art center. We also gave lectures on Japanese mathematics education at libraries and multiple universities, and hosted a Setsubun cultural workshop. The program offered a rich opportunity to engage in both educational exchange and cultural outreach. Over the weekend, we traveled to Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park, where we were deeply moved by the breathtaking landscapes. In the podcast, we discuss a wide range of topics, including differences in classroom culture, teacher motivation in the United States, contrasts between Japanese and American educators, the scale of U.S. universities, and what it means to serve as a bridge between Japan and the United States. For example, at the affiliated elementary school, it was common to see multiple teachers working together in a single classroom, each fulfilling a clearly defined role. Dedicated time for lesson preparation was built into the schedule, creating an environment where teachers could focus on teaching without relying on excessive overtime. This approach left a strong impression on us. We also reflect on both the differences and similarities between Japanese and American education systems. While it is challenging to fully capture the excitement and inspiration we felt through words alone, this experience reminded us of the importance of articulation—and also of the value of seeing and feeling these environments firsthand.
