Schall We Talk Episode 23 - Cabin in the Woods Airbnb Disaster

Cabin in the Woods Airbnb Disaster  Okay friends, this episode is chaos from the jump. What started as a normal podcast idea about Airbnb horror stories somehow turned into Security finding us an actual $70 Airbnb in New York… which turned out to be a tiny cabin in the woods with hammocks, ladders, an outhouse, a bear warning sign, and absolutely no chance I was sleeping there.  In this episode we talk: -How a casual studio conversation turned into “find an Airbnb under $80 and we’ll film there” -The horrifying moment I realized we were truly in the woods and could absolutely be murdered for content -The cabin setup: two loft cots, hammocks, an outhouse, and me immediately deciding we were leaving before dark -Airbnb horror stories from you guys  -Our own unhinged Airbnb stories, including the Seattle basement grandma-and-grandpa surprise -The absolutely insane LA Airbnb saga where an owner tried to scam me for $1,400 and lost -Why I could never be a nurse, camper, or apparently a person who pees in an outhouse -Mama Schall's producer shout-outs and emergency motherly advice from the wilderness Also, full disclosure: this episode exists in a weird timeline because we filmed this before Security realized he lost his wallet in the woods. So if you follow me on Instagram and know the wallet drama… just know Future Robyn is protecting Past Robyn from that emotional spiral for now. 💀 If you want more behind-the-scenes chaos, head over to Patreon: Schall We Talk   And if you’re watching on YouTube, subscribe, like, and comment. We are still clawing our way to 10,000 subscribers one strange episode at a time. Schall We Talk Episode 22 - Advice, Opinions, and Absolute Chaos

Okay, this one is a little unhinged in the best way. Part of this episode was filmed in the past, part was filmed in the future, and somehow Security and I still ended up doing what we do best: giving advice we may or may not be qualified to give.  In this episode we talk: Why this episode is confusing on YouTube: past Robyn is in a baseball cap and long dark hair and future Robyn in a jean jacket and short brown hair. I give Security advice about a friend group where everyone talks badly about one person and he’s stuck in the middle Security giving me advice about how to deal with someone who constantly messes up websites, flyers, cameras, and socks with holes in them and happens to be your brother. The official calendar launch and how my mother bought TEN of them immediately. Our billion-dollar Shark Tank idea: underwear with my butt painting printed on the butt. The actual advice segment: Security and I answer relationship and life questions separately to see who gives better advice. Love bombing vs real connection, bridesmaid budget drama, getting iced out at work after a promotion, and the universal truth that some men simply need to be dumped. Mama Schall calling in mid-episode, giving producer shout-outs, and reminding us there is enough room for everyone. Also, very important: in the comments, please let us know who gave better advice this episode. Me or Security? I already know the answer, but go ahead and confirm it.  If you want more behind-the-scenes content, head over to Patreon: Shall We Talk  And if you’re watching on YouTube, subscribe, like, and comment - we are still crawling our way to 10,000 subscribers. Schall We Talk Episode 21 - Love Is Blind… or Love Is Blinding?

Okay this week’s episode starts off chaotic (as usual) because we tried to open by talking about “blind people” and immediately realized… let’s pick out words better. What we meant was: Love Is Blind, and how love can make you ignore red flags the size of Times Square. We get into my full rant on this season (Pilates guy, period guy, and why some of these men should not be allowed near a Netflix casting form)… and then we read some of your real-life dating disaster submissions from the Schall We Talk website that made us both want to crawl under the table. In this episode we talk: The one and only time it’s acceptable to “order for the table” (and why most people still do it wrong) First date money rules: who pays, when you offer, and why Venmo requests are a no on first dates. Love Is Blind: why go on a show with that title if you’re going to keep announcing your “type” every 12 minutes The infamous Pilot story (bus change included… yes, it’s worse than you remember) Your bad date story: the “serious foodie” who ordered for you… and then Venmo’d you $47.32 with a smiley face And we close out with Mama Schall’s Motherly Advice of the week: if a date starts going sideways, have an exit plan and never leave your drink unattended. If you’ve got a bad date you need to get off your chest, submit it at SchallWeTalk.com and we’ll pull more for future episodes. Schall We Talk Episode 20 - 3AM Confessions: Anxiety, Reddit Chaos & Dr. Piano Man in His Underwear

This episode was recorded at 3:47 in the morning because I couldn’t sleep… and instead of spiraling alone, I decided to turn on the cameras and talk to you. What started as anxiety, overthinking, and a middle-of-the-night brain spiral turned into one of the most vulnerable (and chaotic) episodes we’ve ever done. There are Reddit deep dives, surprise guests, vulnerability, laughter, and a reminder that sometimes the quietest hours bring the most honest conversations. In this episode we talk: Anxiety at 3am, career uncertainty, and the pressure of “what’s next”Viral videos vs. feeling like nothing is happening (and why our brains do that)Wild Reddit stories: matching wedding dresses with your mother-in-law, fake proposals, secret double lives, and DNA tests that blew up familiesCalling Security in the middle of the night to confirm I was actually recording (and him answering half asleep)Surprise appearance by Dr. Piano Man in his underwear and the incredible story of how he taught himself to read, discovered libraries, and became who he is todayLove, partnership, and why being supported by the right person changes everythingAnd we close out with Mama Schall's Motherly Advice of the weekLinks & ways to get involved Follow Robyn on Instagram & TikTok: @robynschallcomic Patreon (bonus videos and behind-the-scenes): https://www.patreon.com/schallwetalk Patreon Producers: Toni Hattinger, Veronica, Deanna, Susan Santoro, Thomas Ives, and Dr. Piano Man Produced by Security #SchallWeTalk #3AMThoughts #CantSleep #ComedyPodcast #LateNightThoughts #AnxietyTalk #RedditStories #RelationshipTalk #PodcastEpisode #WomenInComedy #NYCComedy #LifeTalk #LoveStory #BehindTheScenes #PatreonCreator

Schall We Talk Episode 19 - Throwback to Call Waiting

Hey KIDS! Today’s episode is a little different and honestly… a full rollercoaster. Security actually did work (we’ll see how this goes) and pulled five memorable calls from my old podcast Call Waiting. I haven’t listened in over a year, so you’re getting my real-time reactions as we relive the chaos, the heart, and the “wait… did we really air that?” moments. In this episode we talk: Why I partnered with Betches, why the contract wasn’t great, and why I still did it anyway, the real reason we ended Call Waiting (and how it ended on good terms) A scam story that will make you clutch your phone: DO NOT let strangers touch your phone (ever) Overprotective Parents: the dad who wouldn’t allow sleepovers because “they’ll save THEIR kids first” (and then my flammable rope ladder logic) The “Hercules” ex call. It’s  emotional, sweet, and the reminder that your partner should ignite your passion, not extinguish it Halloween Ghost Stories: the top hat man… possibly Abraham Lincoln (jury’s out) Dating Disasters: the Mexican food aftermath + cleaning frenzy + “Poop Boy” (I’m still unwell) Thanksgiving gratitude that made us both soft: friendship love, support through grief, and why girlfriends are everything And we close out with Mama Schall's Motherly Advice of the week:  Know when a chapter is over. Change isn’t failure, it’s growth.  If you want more behind-the-scenes content, head over to Patreon: Schall We Talk And if you’re watching on YouTube: subscribe, like, and comment. Okay friends! This is it. The wedding dress episode, and we’re giving you the full behind-the-scenes breakdown of my Kleinfeld day with Mama Schall… plus Security’s third Hinge date of January because apparently I’m running a dating bootcamp now.  In this episode we talk: How partnering with Martina Liana happened (yes, I slid into the DMs)Why I only brought my mom - no opinions, no pressure, just vibesKleinfeld’s VIP experience: private room, champagne, the iconic curtain reveal, and our consultant Brandi keeping the energy at 1000The moment I knew it was THE dress (and how it somehow combined all the dresses into one magical-dream gown)The plot twist: I’m wearing TWO Martina Liana gowns that weekend… including one for the welcome party. Why Dr. Piano Man saw the dress and why we’re skipping “bad luck” traditions. We’re doing what makes us happy. The emotional crash no one warns you about: post-dress adrenaline + a 2 a.m. spiral + the “good, you’re the bride” pep talkAnd we close out with Mama Schall’s Motherly Advice of the week: think before you speak… and if someone starts a sentence with “no offense,” cut them off immediately. Schall We Talk Episode 16 - Chaos in the Kitchen

This week on Schall We Talk, Robyn officially enters her bride era (she picked her wedding dress!) and then immediately descends into absolute cooking chaos. Robyn heads into the kitchen to try viral cloud bread… which does not survive contact with egg yolk. Instead of giving up, she pivots mid-episode and accidentally invents a surprisingly delicious sprinkle sponge cake that may be the best thing she’s ever baked. Along the way, Robyn answers listener advice questions, talks about love, anxiety, wedding excitement, and why sometimes messing up is exactly how you end up with something better than the original plan. Mama Schall debuts her new motherly advice segment, reminding everyone to put the phone down at night and choose peace (and sitcoms). It’s messy, funny, heartfelt, and very on brand. 🍞 Cloud Bread (The Original Plan) Ingredients 3 large egg whites2½ tablespoons sugar1 tablespoon cornstarchFood coloring (optional)How to Make Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).Separate egg whites carefully (no yolk — learn from our mistakes).Whip egg whites with a mixer until foamy and starting to stiffen.Gradually add sugar, then cornstarch, whipping until stiff peaks form.Fold in food coloring if using.Scoop onto a lined baking sheet, shape into a cloud.Bake 20–25 minutes until set and lightly golden.(Results may vary depending on yolk-related chaos.) 🎂 Accidental Sprinkle Sponge Cake (The Pivot) Ingredients 3 eggs2½ tablespoons sugar1 tablespoon cornstarch¼ cup flour½ teaspoon baking powderSplash of vanilla extractSprinkles (optional but encouraged)How to Make Preheat oven to 300°F.Whisk eggs, sugar, and cornstarch together.Add flour, baking powder, and vanilla.
