Schall We Talk is a comedy podcast hosted by comedian Robyn Schall. Imagine the wild energy of Pee Wee’s Playhouse colliding with an old-school talk show. Each episode is its own unpredictable adventure. One week Robyn might be sharing her latest personal misadventure, the next she’s diving into interactive games, interviews, science experiments, or even chaotic cooking trials. Episode 46 - Schall We Talk about The Newlywed Game (Throwback Episode 1)

We're officially THREE WEEKS away from leaving for Mallorca... and I'm starting to panic.  There is SO much left to do before the wedding that for the next couple of weeks, we're taking a little trip back through some of our favorite Schall We Talk episodes. Don't worry, I'll still pop in every week with a brand-new opening to catch you up on the current chaos, and Patreon will still have brand-new behind-the-scenes every Friday! And since this weekend is my TWO-YEAR anniversary with Dr. Piano Man, there couldn't be a better episode to bring back... THE NEWLYWED GAME!  For our Season 1 finale, Dr. Piano Man and I went head-to-head with Mama and Papa Schall to find out which couple REALLY knows each other better. At the time, Dr. Piano Man and I had been together for 15 months and Mama and Papa Schall had been together for 57 YEARS. Seems fair. In this throwback episode: • Dr. Piano Man and I take on Mama and Papa Schall in the Newlywed Game, aka the "Silver Youngies" vs. the "Golden Oldies" • We discover that Mama Schall and I apparently married very similar men... and that Papa Schall and Dr. Piano Man give approximately three words for every 400 that we give • Mama and Papa Schall share the secret to more than 50 years of marriage: KEEP LAUGHING The craziest part about watching this episode again is hearing myself say the wedding was "under 300 days away." And now we're THREE WEEKS from leaving for Mallorca. HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?! So enjoy one of our favorite episodes from Season 1 while Security and I attempt to finish approximately 4,000 things before this wedding. We have SO much time. Producer shout-outs: Susan Santoro, Veronica and Deanna, Sarah Wetzel, Holly Simonson, Tamar Fix, and Dr. Piano Man After the wedding, the Just Married Comedy Tour is heading to Vegas, Toronto, Dallas and San Diego! Episode 45 - Schall We Talk about Getting Married....Legally

SURPRISE... WE GOT MARRIED!!!  Well... legally. Last Thursday, while you were watching me give questionable life advice as "Dear Robyn," Dr. Piano Man and I were secretly at City Hall getting MARRIED. We didn't tell our friends. We didn't tell the internet. We barely managed to keep the secret ourselves. And then just a few days later, we headed to Boston where I got to reveal everything ON STAGE in front of hundreds of you... including two of my best friends who had absolutely no idea. So yeah... we have A LOT to talk about. In this episode: • I explain why Dr. Piano Man and I decided to secretly get legally married before our Mallorca wedding and why we only brought Mama Schall, Papa Schall and Security • Less than 24 hours before getting married, my wedding outfit was a DISASTER, my shoe guy and I went to war, I had a complete meltdown, and Security told me my original white suit made me look like I was about to pull a rabbit out of a hat • We relive the Bachelorette Party Comedy Show, the incredible audience, the cannoli strippers, and the moment I finally revealed onstage that the "bachelorette" was already legally MARRIED This entire week was one of those moments in life I know I'll remember forever. The courthouse was intimate, emotional, completely stress-free and filled with so much love. And getting to stand onstage a few days later with two of my best friends, watch them discover our secret, and share that moment with all of you made it even more special. And now... NASA. Mallorca. THE WEDDING. We have SO much time.   After the wedding, the Just Married Comedy Tour is heading to Vegas, Toronto, Dallas and San Diego! Episode 44 - Schall We Talk about Becoming the Next Dear Abby

Dear Abby retired... so naturally, I think I should take over. Here's the crazy part: BEFORE I knew she was retiring, I told Security I wanted to do an episode where he finds real Dear Abby letters, I give my advice without knowing what she said, and then we compare our answers to see if I have what it takes to become an advice columnist. And for possibly the first time in Schall We Talk history... Security actually did his homework. He showed up with nine sealed envelopes containing real Dear Abby problems spanning DECADES, and I had absolutely no idea what was inside. In this episode: • I weigh the pros and cons on whether I should head to Florida for the shuttle launch • I give my advice, we open each envelope to reveal what Dear Abby actually said, and somehow... I keep getting them RIGHT • Finally, we put Mama Schall to the test to see if I can predict her motherly advice as well as I predicted Dear Abby's Move over, Dear Abby. There's a new advice columnist in town. BOSTON! The Bachelorette Party Comedy Show is THIS WEEK at The Wilbur! Episode 43 - Schall We Talk about Putting Your Foot In Your Mouth

Have you ever said something and IMMEDIATELY wished you could suck the words back into your mouth? That's basically this entire episode. We had absolutely no idea what we were going to talk about this week, so five minutes before recording we opened the phone lines and asked you guys to tell us your most embarrassing "I can't believe I just said that" moments. And somehow... it worked. In this episode: • We realize that while Security and I couldn't think of many times WE put our feet in our mouths, we could think of an alarming number of times our dad did • I relive the first date where I spent the entire night calling a man "Bobby"... only to discover he had actually asked me to call him "Papi" • We read your most painfully awkward stories, including accidentally texting your boss, sending VERY personal messages to the wrong person, and a home improvement company accidentally advertising that they "sell widows" • Mama Schall gives possibly her best motherly advice yet! This episode had no plan, no preparation, and at one point a microphone literally broke... so basically, it's exactly what Schall We Talk was meant to be. Episode 42 - Schall We Talk about Munchkin & The Bachelor Party

This week was a BIG one. We welcomed the newest member of our family, Munchkin, and then immediately jump into Dr. Piano Man's bachelor party... which somehow ended with missing memories, a lost phone, way too much whiskey, and one of the sweetest speeches we've ever heard. It's emotional. It's chaotic. It's us. In this episode: • We tell the full story of how a late-night cookie run somehow led to us adopting Munchkin, the sweetest little French Bulldog who completely stole our hearts • We talk about Munchkin's rescue, his first week home, his health scare, and why I already can't imagine life without my tiny shadow • Dr. Piano Man's bachelor party was one of the most thoughtful celebrations imaginable, complete with Spanish music, an incredible piano performance, and a speech from my dad that had everyone emotional • We read some of the funniest bachelor party disaster stories from Reddit and somehow realize ours was actually pretty tame This episode has rescue dogs, family, friendship, whiskey, churros, and enough bachelor party chaos to make us grateful everyone made it home. Episode 41 - Schall We Talk about MORE Conspiracy Theories

Conspiracy theories are back... and somehow this episode gets even weirder than the first one. Mama Schall returned wearing a homemade tinfoil hat, confidently explained why she might actually be an alien, and somehow convinced us that time travelers may have helped build the pyramids. Things only escalated from there. Whether you believe any of it is up to you... we're just asking questions. 👀 In this episode: • Mama Schall explains why she's convinced she's not just half alien... but possibly FULL alien, complete with Rh-negative blood, metal detector incidents, and a family history that raises... questions • We debate whether aliens built the pyramids, if time travelers secretly helped the Egyptians, and why Papa Schall somehow ended up in a "historic" photo from Ancient Egypt • We react to some of your favorite conspiracy theories, including robot pigeons, jellyfish being aliens, Bigfoot, the Matrix, flat Earth, and whether fast food chains are secretly feeding us humans This episode is ridiculous, completely unserious, somehow gets surprisingly deep, and may leave you wondering whether you should start carrying around a tinfoil hat... just in case. Episode 40 - Schall We Talk about Humiliating Stories

We've all had those moments we wish we could erase... unfortunately, this episode is about reliving them. This week, Security and I read your most humiliating stories, and somehow the listeners managed to make us feel better about our own lives. From public wardrobe malfunctions and workplace disasters to drunken decisions and bathroom emergencies, things spiral almost immediately.  In this episode: • Security accidentally text a Hinge match something that made it look like he was secretly meeting another woman... or talking to me on Hinge. • The most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to me on a karaoke stage. • Your unbelievable humiliation stories, including CEO elevator disasters, family parties gone horribly wrong, and one story that made us want to burn down the entire planet. • Mama Schall's advice on how to survive embarrassing moments without letting them define you.  We laughed until we cried recording this one, and by the end we somehow came to the conclusion that embarrassment is just comedy with bad timing. Producer shout-outs: Susan Santoro, Veronica & Deanna, Tamar Fix, and Dr. Piano Man. Episode 39 - Schall We Talk with Jamie Lee

This episode is with a two-time Emmy winner... but somehow we still spent part of it talking about my trash-picked jukeboxes and  wedding.  This week I'm joined by my longtime friend Jamie Lee. She's a comedian, writer, actress, and executive producer on Ted Lasso. We first met over a decade ago, and it was so much fun finally sitting down to talk about comedy, writing, career highs, career flops, and everything in between. In this episode: Winning two Emmys for Ted Lasso Writing and acting on Crashing with Judd Apatow How Girl Code changed her career Why saying "yes" changed everything The story behind her incredible one-woman show My Friend Katie Crossing "Interview an Emmy Winner" off the Goals List This one is funny, inspiring, and honest.
