Current Role: Warrior who still assists the medicine cat and treats injuries when needed.
Hazeldew is a fluffy Ragdoll she-cat with soft, pale fur and gentle blue eyes. Although she is often underestimated because of her Kittypet appearance and heritage, she is a skilled and determined warrior. A long scar runs across her right thigh from the battle that changed her life and led her away from the medicine-cat path.
Hazeldew is shy, sweet, and compassionate, often putting others before herself. She has a natural talent for healing and still helps gather herbs and treat injuries whenever she can. Despite her gentle nature, she becomes fiercely protective when her Clanmates are in danger. She can be nervous and self-conscious, especially around cats who judge her, but she is much braver than she realizes.

Hazeldew was born to two Kittypets who were caught in a Twoleg trap while out on a walk and taken to a cat pound. Although they eventually managed to escape, her mother died giving birth to her in the middle of a snowstorm. Desperate to find somewhere safe for his newborn kit, her father caught the scent of a nearby Warrior patrol and left her in a dry cave, hoping they would find her. Before long, a WillowClan patrol discovered Hazelkit and brought her back to camp, where she was taken in by the Clan. However, many cats looked down on her because of her Kittypet heritage, believing she was too soft and weak to ever become a true Warrior.
As she grew older, Hazelkit discovered that she had a natural talent for identifying herbs and became a medicine cat apprentice. She enjoyed gathering herbs and learning how to treat injuries, but watching her Clanmates return from battles wounded left her feeling helpless. During one battle, she saw a Clanmate pinned down and about to be killed. Without thinking twice, she rushed forward to protect them, taking the blow herself and earning a permanent scar across her right thigh. Although she recovered, the experience made her realize that she wanted to do more than heal her Clanmates after a fight. She wanted to stand beside them and protect them from harm. With that realization, she made the difficult decision to leave her medicine cat training and pursue the path of a Warrior instead.
Her transition wasn’t easy. Many cats continued to doubt her abilities and mock her for her Kittypet origins, convinced she would never be a capable fighter. However, Hazelpaw refused to give up. Despite the challenges, she proved to be surprisingly skilled in battle and was an excellent hunter. Through hard work and determination, she eventually earned her Warrior name, Hazeldew. Even then, some Clanmates struggled to see past her heritage, refusing to acknowledge how much she had accomplished.
One of the cats who treated her poorly was Hollyfern, an arrogant, sassy, and popular she-cat who disliked Hazeldew because of her close relationship with Razorclaw, a tom she hoped to take as her mate. Carefree, charming, and always ready with a joke, Razorclaw was known for flirting with nearly every she-cat he met. Yet beneath his playful demeanor, he was a loyal friend who never treated Hazeldew as anything less than an equal. The two grew incredibly close, often teasing one another and showing affection without a second thought. Without realizing it, Razorclaw had gradually fallen for her, though he mistook his feelings for ordinary friendship.
Her rivalry with Hollyfern eventually took an unexpected turn during a battle when Hazeldew saw the other she-cat in danger. Acting on instinct, she rushed to protect Hollyfern, despite everything she had done to her. Hollyfern was initially annoyed that Hazeldew had interfered in “her” fight, but she couldn’t help wondering why Hazeldew would risk her own life for someone who had treated her so badly. The incident made her reconsider her assumptions, and she later apologized for her behavior and accepted Hazeldew as a true Warrior. To both their surprise, the two gradually became friends, discovering that they weren’t so different after all. Hollyfern eventually accepted that Razorclaw wasn’t the right tom for her and found love with Reedheart instead.
Meanwhile, Razorclaw’s feelings for Hazeldew continued to grow until he finally confessed his love while the two were hunting alone. Hazeldew returned his feelings, and they became mates. In time, they welcomed four kits together: Lilykit, Mothkit, Amberkit, and Birchkit.
Despite the prejudice she faced throughout her life, Hazeldew never allowed others to define who she was. Gentle, shy, and compassionate by nature, she remained fiercely protective of her Clanmates and continued to gather herbs and tend to the wounded whenever she could. She had once been a kit whom many believed would never belong in the Clan, but through her courage and determination, she proved that being a true Warrior had nothing to do with where she came from. In the end, she found her place in WillowClan, along with friendship, love, and a family of her own.
