Dustin Poirier Fighting Again? Alex staying at Heavyweight?

Training, teaching class, beating that ass, pounding it into the ground with no remorse, anger, to remind you who the KING is. Crown Sports & Entertainment CEO Tyler King is here for the MMA Report. The episode drops like a midnight sparring session: loud, unfiltered, and impossible to ignore. From the first second you’re in the room with coaches who speak in blunt truths, fighters who show up hungry, and stories that land somewhere between a gut punch and a gut laugh. This is the side of combat sports that doesn’t make highlight reels — the coaching, the corrections, the ego checks, and the moments that actually build a fighter.Tyler talks about former UFC Champion turned commentator Dustin Porier being taken off a flight, arrested for being drunk, disorderly. I bring up an important episode of A Huskies Health with Chris Bellamy; we talked about losing identity after an athletic career comes to an end. Tyler believes Dustin could be struggling with a tough adjustment. He even said Porier could get a few more fights in.We saw the video from the arrest, I said If Dustin fights, he is putting off the inevitable. From my own experience, I played college, pro football, went right into college coaching, which hurt me in the long run. We trained, lived, breathed our sport, to have it taken away, you don't know how to move on. Becoming a coach definitely hurt me, I didn't separate myself from coaching, as playing, football was still how I identified myself as a person. Tyler went through a smilar experience but was much stronger. He faced depression head on, and fought through it. He has his own company and is successful because Tyler used parts of his former identity to create a new one that has made him happy, fulfilled. We all wish the best for Dustin, he was a legendary fighter, I hope he gets back on track and help if he needs it.We recap UFC fight night, Tyler again was undefeated in all of his picks, he is unstoppable.

    Connor Returns

He trains, teaches class, beats that ass, pounds it vigorously into the ground after, Crown Sports & Entertainment CEO and Expert MMA analyst Tyler King is here for the MMA report.Starting off hot as we get into the Boxing Championship battle where champion Oleksandr Usyk beat Rico Verhoeven on a controversial ref stoppage with one second to go in the 11th round. Tyler said Usyk did knock down Verhoeven, it looked like he slipped and fell over the ropes to me.Regardless, he was given a standing 8 count, checked by the ring doctor and allowed to continue. Usyk came at Verhoeven hard at the end of the round, but I didn't see him take a ton of damage. Tyler was furious the fight was stopped; he also disagreed with many of the score cards. We discussed Conner McGregor returning to UFC and Jake Paul commenting that announcing his return when Francis Ngannou was walking out shows Dana is afraid of MVP promotions. The King responded by saying cool story, that is how the fight game works, its all business. Tyler was correct, all people were talking or tweeting about was McGregor and that's what UFC wanted. We argue over Connor and how he will fare fighting Max Holloway in a few weeks. The guy has been through several lawsuits, was about to make a run for President in Ireland, hasn't won a fight since 2020 against an aging Donald Cerrone. Tyler said a motivated Connor will be a problem, he is only 37 years old, it feels like he's 44. Tyler said he is more than capable of going on another run. I said it doesn't matter, UFC can put him on any fight, it will sell out, draw viewers, that's what matters. We go over ESPNs power rankings for each weight class, Tyler makes a few picks for UFC fight night Saturday, and we talk more about the White House card. Tyler said it has star power, two championship battles, overall, a great card. My point to him was UFC has billions of dollars, pull the brinks truck up to Jon Jones and they should have got him. I said only because the casual fans know and want to see him. Tyler responded saying Jones has so much going on outside UFC, he doesn't need to fight, nor the money.
