Mother’s Day Must-Haves, Wedding Debates & Anna Maria’s New Pier

A local med spa joins the show to explain how they’re redefining the traditional spa experience—offering treatments that go beyond relaxation and into real results. Just in time for Mother’s Day, they share why a visit might be exactly what the doctor ordered for celebrating the moms in your life. Mike Modrick takes us to Anna Maria Island, where he explores the newly rebuilt city pier. After past storm damage, the structure has been reimagined with massive concrete slabs designed not just to withstand future storms but to stand strong against them. We also celebrate a milestone with Susan North, owner of North Star Jewelry, who marks four successful years in Sarasota’s Downtown Mark building along with a 5-star reputation. She joins us to showcase thoughtful and timeless gift ideas perfect for Mother’s Day or any meaningful occasion. With wedding season underway on the Suncoast, the hosts dive into a fun and lively game of “Wedding Debates: I Do or I Don’t.” Inspired by an InsideHook article, they break down some of the most common (and controversial) wedding topics, sharing opinions before revealing what industry experts say truly matters in today’s ceremonies and receptions. And in the Rice’s Appliance Kitchen, Gino and Jose from Kolucan Mexican Bar and Grill fire things up with a delicious chargrilled New York strip steak topped with salsa martajada—bringing bold flavors and cooking inspiration to the table.
