This week on LIVING IT LOUD:  Buddy Hull, a third generation drag racer, has built a thriving business and racing career from humble beginnings in central Illinois. He grew up with a strong work ethic doing chores, mowing lawns, odd jobs, and as a young man even working in NHRA Funny Car legend Tim Wilkerson’s garage. He took up powerlifting as a young adult and for a period was among the Top-5 ranked powerlifters in the world.  After working in the gym industry and supervising construction of many gyms, he eventually left to start his own business, Vertex Roofing and General Contractors, a roofing and general contracting company, which became the foundation for his racing ambitions. Vertex now has offices in Dallas, Houston and Atlanta.   Buddy started his racing career behind the wheel of the wild and unpredictable Fuel Altereds. He eventually decided to invest in his dream and purchased the entire Top Fuel operation of Tim Wilkerson with his own money. Buddy made his professional debut in Top Fuel in 2021. The following season he ran a limited NHRA schedule qualifying for seven events and ran a career-best elapsed time of 3.984 seconds with a top speed of 308.00 mph in St. Louis.  Throughout the 2024 and 2025 NHRA seasons Buddy Hull made the switch from Top Fuel to nitro Funny Car. Over the next two seasons Buddy gained experience on and off the track that ultimately led to the formation of Hull Racing Entertainment. Buddy will continue to pursue his dream of being a Funny Car NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series world champion.  While pursuing his racing career, Buddy continues to run his contracting business and he has extended his brand to television and digital entertainment with two seasons of the award-winning show Talkin’ Funny Cars with Buddy Hull. The show features Buddy interviewing other Funny Car drivers giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at life in NHRA drag racing. Buddy will continue developing new entertainment opportunities to highlight his sponsors and grow awareness for NHRA drag racing.  Buddy is never far from his loving and supportive wife, Madi, and their son, Maverick. Family is the foundation that his personal and professional life are built around.   Tune in live each week at 8am MST on Wednesdays (re-air at 6pm MST on Fridays) on AM 1220 KLDC for new interviews with amazing guests from across the country as they share their unique stories because…….EVERYONE has a story! #livingitloud #livingitloudradioshow #livingitloudwithtamibandimere #radioshow #radioshowhost #bandimerespeedway #bandimerefamily #coloradoradio #colorado #denvercolorado #tamibandimere #bandimere
