Joseph Ep1 | When People Don't Get You | Episode 1 of 5 | Carpooling with Heroes of the Bible

Hey Carpool Crew! This week we're starting a five-episode journey through the life of Joseph, one of the most surprising heroes in the Bible. In Episode 1, we go back to the beginning. Joseph is seventeen, the favorite son in a complicated family, and God gives him a dream that nobody around him is ready to hear. The reaction is fast and brutal. By the end of Genesis 37, Joseph is sold by his own brothers and headed to Egypt. The dream God gave him is still alive. The people closest to him are not.   For parents listening with your kids: this episode is a doorway into a real conversation about what to do when the people in your child's life don't celebrate what God is doing in them. We name the pain honestly and we anchor it in who God says they are.   Today's One Thing: Sometimes the people closest to you won't understand what God is doing in your life. Stay rooted in who God says you are.   Scripture: Genesis 37:5 (CSB)   The arc: * Episode 1: When People Don't Get You (Backstory) * Episode 2: When You're Far From Home (Slavery and Potiphar's house) * Episode 3: Faithful in the Hard Place (False accusation and prison) * Episode 4: When God Lifts You Up (Pharaoh and elevation) * Episode 5: The Forgiveness That Saves a Family (Reunion and legacy)   CarpoolingiwthJesus.com   Get involved with the Carpool Crew: follow @carpoolingwithjesus and tell us which Bible hero you want us to cover next.

Rahab Ep 1 | God Saw Rahab | Carpooling with Heroes of the Bible

Hey Carpool Crew! Who was Rahab, and why would God choose her to play such an important role in one of the Bible's most incredible stories? In Episode 1 of our five-part series on Rahab the Brave Believer, we travel to the ancient city of Jericho, one of the oldest fortified cities in the world. As Joshua prepares the Israelites to enter the Promised Land, two spies are sent into the city and find themselves at the home of an unexpected woman named Rahab. At first glance, Rahab seems like the last person anyone would expect God to use. She lived on the edge of society, carried a difficult reputation, and wasn't part of God's chosen people. Yet God saw something deeper. Join Pastor Justin as we discover how God often chooses people the world overlooks and why Rahab's story is still encouraging kids and families thousands of years later. Kids will learn: • Who Rahab was and where she lived • Why Jericho was such an important city • Why the Israelite spies came to Rahab's house • How God sees people differently than the world does • Why no one is invisible to God Key Scriptures: Joshua 2:1-3 1 Samuel 16:7 Discussion Questions: Has there ever been a time you felt overlooked? What would change about your day tomorrow if you really believed God sees you right where you are? Rahab's story begins with a powerful reminder: God sees people others ignore. While the world often focuses on popularity, success, appearance, or status, God looks at the heart. The same God who saw Rahab in Jericho sees you today. This episode helps kids understand that they are known, valued, and loved by God, regardless of their mistakes, circumstances, or what others think about them.   https://carpoolingwithjesus.com   In this Christian kids podcast episode, children and families will learn about Rahab, the city of Jericho, Joshua and the Promised Land, Bible heroes, God's love for outsiders, and how God sees the heart. This Bible story for kids teaches that God notices people others overlook and that He can use anyone for His purposes. Perfect for family devotions, Christian parenting, Bible lessons for kids, and helping children grow in faith, confidence, and their identity in God.

Unforgiving Servant Ep 2: The Unforgiving Servant | Carpooling with Heroes of the Bible Carpoooling with Jesus

Hey Carpool Crew! Welcome to Episode 2 in our Carpooling with Heroes of the Bible series exploring the story Jesus told about The Unforgiving Servant. In this five-episode series, we hear the same story from different perspectives so we can better understand what Jesus was teaching about forgiveness. In Episode 1, we heard from the servant who was forgiven a massive debt by the king. In today’s episode, we hear from the fellow servant. He owed a much smaller amount of money and hoped for patience so he could pay it back. But something surprising happened. The servant who had just been forgiven a huge debt refused to forgive him. This part of the story helps us understand something important. Forgiveness matters, and refusing to forgive hurts more than one person. Jesus told this story so we could see how powerful mercy really is and why forgiveness helps relationships heal instead of breaking them. 🍏 Apple Podcasts: https://apple.co/4gUygJo 🎧 Spotify: https://bit.ly/SpotifyPlus ✨ Subscribe on Spotify: https://bit.ly/SpotifySubscribe 📱 Instagram: https://bit.ly/InstagramCPWJ 🚗 Facebook Community: https://bit.ly/CPWJFB Christian kids podcast, Bible stories for kids, kids devotional podcast, Jesus podcast for children, short Christian podcast for kids, podcast for kids in the car, faith-based podcast for children, daily Bible podcast for kids, unforgiving servant explained for kids, Bible parables for children, teaching kids about forgiveness, grace of God for kids, Christian parenting resources.
