    32. Self-Love Isn't What You Think

Would you speak to your best friend the way you speak to yourself? Friend... if the answer is no, this episode is for you. If you've spent years criticizing yourself, questioning your worth, or believing you have to earn love through achievement, people-pleasing, or perfection, I want to gently remind you of something: You are not broken. You've simply forgotten how to be on your own side. In this week's episode of Her Next Chapter, we're having a heart-to-heart conversation about what self-love really means. It's about reconnecting with your voice, trusting yourself again, and remembering who you were before your inner critic convinced you otherwise. In this episode, we'll chat about: 💛 Why confidence comes and goes, but self-love can remain. 💛 How to recognize your inner critic—and why it isn't telling you the truth. 💛 Simple daily practices that build self-trust, self-compassion, and emotional resilience. 💛 Why healing isn't about becoming someone different—it's about coming home to yourself. If you've been craving more peace, stronger boundaries, and a deeper connection with yourself, I hope this conversation feels like sitting down with a friend who reminds you of who you've been all along. ✨ Ready to stop second-guessing yourself and start trusting yourself? 31. I Thought I Was Being Prepared… It Was Actually Anxiety

For years, I thought I was just prepared. Organized. Responsible. It wasn't until one unanswered phone call that I realized anxiety had been quietly running the show… If you've ever found yourself overthinking, preparing for every worst-case scenario, or carrying the weight of everyone else's needs, this episode is for you. In this week's episode of Her Next Chapter, I'm sharing the three truths about anxiety that changed my life, and have become the foundation of the work I do with women every day. We'll talk about why anxiety often disguises itself as responsibility, what we're really trying to avoid when we cling to control, and how to build the kind of self-trust that creates lasting peace. In this episode, we'll explore: ✨ Why anxiety in midlife can look like overthinking and overfunctioning ✨ The connection between control, fear, and difficult emotions ✨ How emotional resilience helps you navigate uncertainty ✨ Practical shifts to quiet the "what if" cycle ✨ Why peace comes from trusting yourself, not controlling everything If you're tired of carrying the mental load and craving more calm, clarity, and confidence, I hope this conversation reminds you that you're not broken, and you don't have to do this alone. 💛 Ready for support? 30. Depression Isn't Always Obvious in Midlife

What if I told you that depression doesn't always look the way we think it does? Sometimes it doesn't look like falling apart.  Sometimes it looks like showing up. Going to work.  Taking care of your family.  Meeting deadlines.  Keeping all the balls in the air. And yet, somewhere along the way, you stop feeling like yourself. In this week's episode of Her Next Chapter, I'm sharing a very personal part of my story and opening up about my own experience with depression. There was a season in my life when I was doing all the things—a working mom, a wife, a friend, a professional—and from the outside everything looked fine. But on the inside, I felt disconnected, exhausted, and lost. I wasn't falling apart. I was just existing. If you've ever found yourself wondering why you feel so flat, unmotivated, or emotionally checked out despite having so much to be grateful for, this conversation is for you. Together we'll talk about the quiet signs of depression, why so many women minimize their pain, and why healing begins the moment we stop pretending we're okay and start being honest about what we're carrying. In this episode, we'll chat about: ✨ What depression can really look like in high-achieving women ✨ Why "I'm fine" isn't always the full story ✨ The difference between surviving and truly living ✨ How burnout, emotional exhaustion, and depression can overlap ✨ Why honoring your pain is the first step toward healing ✨ Practical ways to reconnect with yourself and your emotional well-being Most importantly, I want you to know this: You don't have to earn support.  You don't have to wait until things get worse.  And you don't have to carry everything by yourself. 💛 If this episode resonates with you and you're ready to do the deeper work of healing burnout, rebuilding self-trust, and creating a life that feels peaceful and aligned, I'd love to support you. Check out the show notes below to learn more about working with me privately. And please share this episode with a friend. Chances are, someone you love is carrying more than they're letting on. A Gentle Reminder Today's conversation touches on depression and emotional health. Please take care of yourself as you listen. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or need immediate support, please contact emergency services, a crisis hotline, or a qualified mental health professional in your area. You matter, and help is available. 💛 🔥 Ready to go all in and stop playing small? Apply now for my 1:1 Mentorship—personalized support for women who are serious about creating real transformation. 28. Why You Should Take That Girls Trip in Midlife

When was the last time you took a trip just for you? Not for your kids.  Not for your partner.  Not squeezed into what was left over… Just… you? And be honest...have you ever thought about a girls trip… and then immediately talked yourself out of it? Because of the time…  The money…  Or that little voice saying it’s “not necessary”? Friend… we need to talk. In this episode, I’m sharing what I was reminded of on my 50th birthday trip with my girlfriends, and why taking that time away isn’t selfish… it’s essential. ✨ We talk about:  Why your friendships need real investment (not just texts)  How getting away helps you reconnect with yourself  Why your family actually benefits when you leave  The healing power of laughter (yes, it counts as self-care)  And the truth about the “we don’t have the money” excuse 💬 A few truths from this episode: “When was the last time you took a trip just for you?” “Girlfriends are the secret to a long, happy life.” “Leaving actually helps your family grow stronger.” 🌊 Your takeaway Book the trip. If this hit home, DM me on Instagram and tell me—are you going?  🔥 Ready to go all in and stop playing small? 27. How to Break Free from Perfectionism in Midlife

How long have you been waiting to start the thing you know you’re meant to do? Not because you don’t want it…  but because it’s not “ready” yet…  or you’re not “ready” yet? In this episode, I’m getting real with you about something that held me back for way too long...perfectionism. I’m sharing my own story of sitting in the waiting room… delaying my dreams, overthinking every step, and convincing myself I needed to be more before I could begin. And then… the shift that changed everything: 👉 Finished is better than perfect. This episode is your reminder (and honestly, your nudge) to stop waiting, start messy, and finally move forward in the direction your heart has been pulling you toward. If this episode spoke to you, send it to a friend who’s been sitting on something she’s ready to start. Because you’re not meant to stay in the waiting room. You’re meant to live it. 🔥 Ready to go all in and stop playing small? Apply now for my 1:1 Mentorship—personalized support for women who are serious about creating real transformation.
