🎙️ Jay & Laney J LIVE – Episode 123Podcast Show Notes – Wednesday, July 22, 2026 Another packed morning on Jay & Laney J LIVE! We kicked things off talking about the dangerous Oklahoma heat wave and shared tips for staying cool during another scorching summer day. We also discussed the ongoing Hochatown vs. Broken Bow lawsuit and invited listeners to share their thoughts on what they hope the future holds for our community. The show featured several unbelievable stories from around the country, including the Cubs fan who went viral after confronting another spectator during the National Anthem, two deer crashing through neighboring businesses in Georgia at the exact same time, research suggesting excessive TV watching could impact brain health, a report showing many Gen Z adults would rather go into debt than ask friends to repay money they owe, and a study warning that backyard bug sprays may actually be helping mosquitoes become more resistant. One of the highlights of the morning was welcoming Ty Ybarra and professional MMA fighter Jaymes Baker into the studio. They talked about life inside the cage, training, the mental side of competition, and what's ahead for them in the world of mixed martial arts. It was a fun behind-the-scenes look at the dedication it takes to compete at a high level. 🎙️ Jay & Laney J LIVE – Episode 120Podcast Show Notes – Monday, July 20, 2026 Happy Monday! We kicked off the week with the biggest local story making headlines across southeast Oklahoma—a black bear climbing a tree in downtown Broken Bow! We talked about the incredible scene, shared what wildlife officials recommend when encountering a bear, and invited listeners to tell us about their own wild animal encounters around McCurtain County. "Avocado Oil, Daylight Saving & Friday Laughs"

🎙️ Jay & Laney J LIVE – Episode 120 – Friday, July 17, 2026 Happy Friday! Jay and Laney J wrapped up the week with a fun mix of conversation, laughs, and listener interaction as everyone looked ahead to the weekend. The show kicked off with a discussion about Congress once again considering permanent Daylight Saving Time, sparking plenty of opinions on whether Americans should keep changing the clocks or finally pick one time year-round. The conversation shifted to artificial intelligence, where listeners weighed in on how much they use AI in their everyday lives and whether it's becoming too dominant. The duo also uncovered a surprising study suggesting many products labeled as containing avocado oil may not actually contain authentic avocado oil, leading to a lively discussion about grocery shopping, food labels, and the products people refuse to buy the cheap version of. They also talked about new research on teen social media bans and whether restricting access really solves the problem or simply pushes young people toward different platforms. A few lighter stories kept everyone entertained, including a Labrador in Scotland that had to be rescued after accidentally consuming cannabis during a mountain hike and a fascinating scientific explanation for why cannibalism became one of humanity's strongest taboos. Closer to home, Jay highlighted how parts of southeastern Oklahoma have received some of the state's heaviest rainfall this summer, with listeners sharing just how much rain they've seen around their homes. As always, Friday was packed with listener interaction as callers and Facebook viewers shared their weekend plans, favorite ways to unwind, and answered the "Would You Rather" question: have every Friday off forever or earn an extra week of vacation each year. The show wrapped up by wishing everyone a safe and relaxing weekend and inviting listeners to spend it enjoying everything Southeast Oklahoma has to offer.
