    The Day I Ditched Crystals (and why)

    How I became a widow (-ish)

    After hitting publish, I realized that I didn't really explain why I added the -ish after widow. And it is because I'm not really a widow. We were not married. We got engaged in April 2022 and he died 16 months later. We had plans to marry in early 2024 in Puerto Rico (where I'm from). So... am I really a widow? Not legally. Not in the Catholic Church. But most of the time, I do feel like one. What do you think? Are you in a similar situation? When the unthinkable happened, losing my fiancé and partner of 11 years, I was left holding more than grief. I was holding our son, our memories.
