🎧 1000 KM Father–Son Cycling Pilgrimage (Ashtavinayak Yatra) – Day 5: Journey Continued 🚴♂️🙏 The soft chill of dawn wrapped around us as we quietly packed our bikes at Wireless Phata. The little village still slept peacefully after a night filled with songs and laughter. We wanted to leave before anyone woke up to insist — “At least have a cup of tea!” — which would inevitably turn into breakfast and cheerful delays. So, with gratitude in our hearts, we slipped away into the misty morning. The road stretched ahead like a blank page… waiting for the next chapter of our story. 🌄 Our plan for the day was simple yet sacred — first, to seek blessings at Lord Shri Moreshwar’s Temple in Moregaon, and then onward to Jejuri, the abode of Lord Khandoba, our family deity. Though not part of the official Ashtavinayak circuit, Jejuri was calling — a call of faith, heritage, and home. By the time we reached Patas, dawn had painted the sky in shades of gold and rose. Shops were opening, incense smoke curled upward, and the aroma of morning life filled the air. Finding tea that early was tough — but persistence has its rewards. At a tiny roadside stall, we sipped steaming cups of jaggery-sweetened chai — earthy, rich, and soul-warming. With that first sip, everything aligned — the road, the rhythm, the reason. As we turned off the highway, the sounds of engines faded into birdsong. 🌻 Fields of sunflowers stretched endlessly on both sides, their golden faces swaying gently in the morning breeze — as if smiling upon two pilgrims on bicycles. Soon, the farmlands gave way to a reserved forest zone. Signboards warned of leopards and deer — even the occasional tiger — but we felt no fear, only reverence. Nature teaches its own discipline. We pedaled close together, the crunch of gravel blending with the rustle of leaves. Shafts of sunlight streamed through the canopy, painting our path in gold. It wasn’t just cycling anymore — it was meditation in motion. As we emerged from the forest, flocks of baya birds fluttered overhead, their intricate hanging nests swaying like delicate lanterns. We slowed down, awestruck by nature’s craftsmanship — moments that deepened our connection not just to the journey, but to life itself. By noon, we reached the sacred temple of Lord Moreshwar. Beneath a wide, sheltering tree, we parked our bikes and sat in silence. The temple bells echoed softly, mingling with the fragrance of incense. Our darshan was serene — no rush, no crowds, just peace. The temple trustee welcomed us warmly and insisted we stay for prasad — a simple meal of rice, dal, and vegetables that felt nothing short of divine. Every bite carried love… and strength for the road ahead. Before we left, Mr. Rajendra Jagtap, the temple manager, smiled and said, “Your bicycles will love the road to Jejuri.” His words felt like both a blessing and a promise. The road from Moregaon to Jejuri was a cyclist’s delight — smooth, scenic, and filled with the hum of wind. The golden light of late afternoon guided us forward. Shriram, still a bit tired from the previous night’s bhajans, rode quietly beside me. I knew what he needed most wasn’t luxury — just rest, peace, and a good night’s sleep. As Jejuri’s fort temple came into view, glowing atop the golden hill, a wave of emotion rose within us — reverence, fulfillment… and the unmistakable feeling of coming home. 💛 📖 Read the Full Blog Post:👉 https://sunilkhandbahale.com/1000-km-father-son-cycling-pilgrimage-ashtavinayak-yatra-day-5-journey-continued/ #ashtavinayakyatra #fatherandson #cyclingpilgrimage #spiritualjourney #ashtavinayak #cyclingindia #jejurikhandoba #moreshwar #faith #gratitude #selfdiscovery #travelstory #cyclingmonks #journeywithin #maharashtratourism #sunilkhandbahale #inspiration #pilgrimage #devotion #hope #biking #mindfultravel A Morning GoodbyeSunrise Over the FieldsThrough the Forest of Silence 🌳The Divine Pause at Moregaon 🕉️Onward to Jejuri – The Hill of Faith ⛰️
